  1. From there it's more of not having people foam at the mouth when those beliefs are inevitably brought up. Are you implying that you are intolerant about my belief system? PS: Foaming at the mouth is literally the best thing you can do when religion is being argued over. Am I right?? On this forum? Probably.

You'll do great! Just be yourself and relax. Good luck :)
  3. I lol'd hard :D I mean, visa & MC have the right to deny service to whoever they want, but still....government pressure or something else seems pretty likely here.
  4. So american judges interpreting the laws of the country is the root cause of terrorism?
  5. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm193/krexuzeitor/implied-facepalm.jpg[/mg] I will just take that as a *no reply* The problem with this point of view, this blind zealotry without even stopping to question why you believe something is the real cause of terrorism. If the Catholic Church had their own jihad section that ALL catholics must follow to get to heaven, I am certain we would have many christians who would be strapping themselves with bombs to gain control of planes to aim them towards Saudi Arabian buildings. Edit: an extremist branch of Islam did make that interpretation to justify their actions You're just trolling now? This is getting a little ridiculous.
  6. Interpretations. However there is nothing to support such interpretations in the new testament. There is evidence from the old testament that can support these views. Unfortunately you are right we have had this conversation before, and you failed to provide evidence on where the Catholic Church got evidence to support their interpretation of the scripture. Taking it right back to step one which is my point that religion is often used as a tool for someone to enforce their personal view of the world. I've already posted the excerpt from the catechism that clearly explains the church's teachings. My explanations on other threads have consistently been insufficient for you as you're looking for a passage in the new testament that explicitly states "homosexuality is a sin". I've already told you there isn't one. We can go around in circles here, or I can stop wasting my time.
  7. No, because we've had this exact discussion. The teachings of the catholic church are based off of literals or interpretations from the new testament.
  8. Is it ever? :P Although, I've been meaning to read that book for a while. Bought it, should be interesting. Apparently his brother writes very good books as well (from the other perspective).
  9. GET MOAR LINKS@ For Christianity in particular: http://www.evilbible.com/ And a summary of the arguments against religion in general, presented skillfully enough to make it worth reading for that reason alone: http://www.amazon.com/God-Not-Great-Religion-Everything/dp/0446579807 Interesting that you say it's relevant to Christianity yet the entire front page contains but one verse from the new testament - and that verse is taken out of context  On second thought, I'm not even going to try to argue their points. The entire site makes ridiculous accusations and is terribly sourced.
  10. Not saying any team needed him, just saying a lot of good players have been drafted really low, and vice versa :P Big game tonight, I hate to say it but RIP leafs "winning streak" lol.
  11. No, it's an attempt to get attention, and it works. The more they posture, the more concessions/aid the states makes.
  12. It can make things feel warmer, but it won't always.
  13. No. Being at work with nothing to do annoys me. People think "free money", but I get so bored :(
  14. A lot of great players get passed over. For example, Dustin Byfuglien (#2 defenceman point wise so far) went 245th overall.
  15. The UN? I hope you mean the US - the UN has no practical power to do anything, and even if they could, it certainly wouldn't be fast. NK's army is pretty weak for its size - a war with the states + SK would undoubtedly be won - the main issue here is whether SK would be able to do it themselves. They should be able to, but casualties would be pretty high.
  16. Nice lol. That link is broken for me though :(
  17. But on that same token, just as I shouldn't take my parents word for it, neither should I blindly take yours. -Note- I'm not saying you are wrong, or that you have bad intentions, simply that I don't tend to take things at face value. You're right. I should have said, "MOST of us don't." The thing is that 90% of Americans assume that if they see a Muslim, they're immediately a "terrorist." Which is something you've probably been taught, which is also frankly untrue. I won't deny there's some labeling of Muslims as terrorists, but I doubt it's anywhere near 90%.
  18. I think many people haven't fully thought through the consequences overall. Wait and see if one of those sites get bombed, then a lot of people will be singing a different tune. @Rach: Overall it's a combination of both - some sensitive, but not critical information has been released - likely to pose some, but not a large amount of danger to certain people.
  19. Then again, I doubt they're all Christian ;)
  20. Funny that you say that, since your ridiculously one sided views of religion indicate you've probably never read any more of it then the passages the extreme left religion-bashers tell you to. Do me a favour, will you? Go to church. Once. And tell me when they tell you to be violent, hateful, and racist.
  21. I'm glad to know a self-proclaimed atheist is pretending to be an expert on the founding morals of religion
  22. I don't think he'd do that unless it was a directly related threat against wl. Since apparently he was arrested for something unrelated I don't believe it's been released yet.
  23. And your source on this is? I agree it is a possibility it's just a smear campaign but it is possible it's legitimate as well.
