  1. This. Look at SK, for example - it's just a browser window that forces you to navigate to this url.
  2. So just to give you some background. Abortion has been legal in Canada since 1969. It has been completely unregulated since 1988. The Canadian population has always been heavily split over the issue; while a large segment of the population is pro-choice there are also a large amount of pro-life citizens, who hold demonstrations every year. The current prime minister, Steven Harper, could be classified as a moderate conservative - in general his government has strayed far from dangerous social issues (abortion and gay marriage being the two main ones). However, during recent discussions over funding for maternal health projects to be planned and started during the G8 summit, he made the decision to focus on maternal health without offering support for abortion. This position has been heavily criticized by many of the other g8 countries. On one side of the spectrum, abortion is currently legal in Canada - so the pro-choice feel that it makes sense to offer it as part of the maternal health option. On the other side of the spectrum, the pro-life feel that since this issue is so divisive, it makes sense to not spend tax dollars suplementing a plan that a large number of Canadians are opposed to. When this idea was originally brought up, pro-choice groups were obviously miffed. They began protesting, etc. They were advised by a conservative senator to "Shut the [bleep] up about the abortion issue". Those were her exact words. Her meaning was that the more they brought it up, the more likely it would be to become an election issue. Of course the liberal media picked up on this and immediately called it suppression of free speech etc. The reason I post this is because it seems like it will indeed become an election issue - see this article: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/809829--abortion-vote-inevitable-mp-says?bn=1 There are several articles out there from various news sources, I just don't feel like linking them all. So, what do you think? Obviously I'm pro-life, I think you would mostly know that by now :P so I'm quite glad to see this coming up as an election issue as I beleive there is a large enough objection to it to at least merit some reasonable discussion.
  3. I live in Canada, province of Ontario, City of Mississauga. Canada - it's a love hate relationship. I love our culture, our traditions, our reputation, and of course the land itself. I hate our politics. Ontario - apathetic. I've never managed to care much about provincial politics, and everything else is more applicable on a nationwide scale. Mississauga - I'm actually proud to live in this city, and I hope to live here for the rest of my life. This municipality is one of the only ones in Canada, and even the world, that actually isn't in debt. That's one of the things that annoys me most about politics in general, and I feel very lucky to live in a city that only spends the money it has. Here's the wikipedia article on our mayor, she's a very interesting character (almost 90 years old and in office for more than 30 years so far): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazel_mccallion
  4. Download gearscore. That's the name of it. If you see someone with higher than....5.4 gs they probably have t10+ items.. with all t9's you would be in the low 5k's I think.
  5. If it was all heroic I could see that, otherwise that's [developmentally delayed]ed. How much health do you have unbuffed? Or just post an armory link. I tanked pit of saron heroic today with my awesome non-def cap and 27k unbuffed health lmao. It took forever but we finally did it.
  6. I can tell you right away that as a conservative Christian on these boards, I start off debating with one person on a particular topic and find 4 or 5 people quoting me within an hour. If I had this feature enabled my inbox would be flooded pretty fast.
  7. Aha nice. And yeah, definitely good heals, and I was only the OT.
  8. That would require some pretty heavy modification from what I can see, as all the quote button does is generate some bbcode to control the look of your post. Probably won't happen unfortunately.
  9. You kind of seemed like a whiskey man. Well, I was, until two december 2007. It was just before Christmas, I drank a 26er to my face (I weighed no more than 165 at the time) and puked in my friends washing machine. Needless to say I stopped drinking whiskey.
  10. Ehh I got windows 7 for free. I run linux on a server but that's as far into it as I've ever bothered to go.
  11. Pssh I have 5.6k gearskill with my ret set. [/troll] But seriously, I'm not even def capped with my tank set.
  12. Welcome guys, glad to have you here :)
  13. Tanked Ony, ToC and VoA last night. Went pretty well considering my tank set is terrible :D
  14. I used to drink a lot of straight whiskey, but had some bad experiences. I don't really drink to get drunk anymore, but when I do drink, I'm a beer guy. Heineken <3:
  15. Caffeine made me feel like crap for 2 years and gave me heart problems. Needless to say I'm no longer a coke drinker.
  16. Regardless of my beliefs about sperm donation itself, I don't see a problem for the kids.I mean they have a mother and a father, the biological one won't be or hasn't been present in their lives at all, so I don't see it as a big deal that they may never get to know them.
  17. TOC is too short to really be an "epic" raid I think. One of the things that made ulduar so good is it isn't just about gear or dps. Obviously ICC isn't all like that but a lot more so than ulduar. When I went the first time, the raid leader from my guild described it pretty aptly: "Ulduar is a giant pay attention raid". It's really true, even on the easy fights you have to constantly pay attention, because there are so many different abilities and things to be aware of. I think that's what makes it so different.
  18. [cabbage]. Don't tell me, if someone who was very smelly, very large, and physically not pleasant (did you see that wart on her nose?) You'd be ok with her because she has a nice personality? I really don't get why large girls smell so badly, I do realize their self esteem might be low, so they don't try as hard to look good, but all my friends who are.. quite big smell really bad constantly, and its hard to hang out with them >.< Larger body mass = easier to sweat. Or at least that's how I thought of it, although I can think of several larger girls I know who don't smell bad.
  19. I don't think this is that unfair. As others have said, there was a rule, and she broke it. It's easy to say that you can't control what they eat at home, and in fact this is precisely the reason schools have begun limiting consumption of junk foods and the like there. Parents don't seem to care, despite the negative repercussions, so another place where a child learns and is disciplined is where it is natural to enforce something. Just looking at the basic story it seems like a lot, once you think about it you can at least see their reasoning.
  20. Ulduar is awesome. Our 10 man group all with 5k+ gs wiped on yogg-saron (final boss) 5 times. Yeah, we suck, but damn ulduar is hard.
  21. 1 hour for church/168 hours in a week, definitely equal 1/10.
  22. Oh facebook, so annoying. Fish face, bad Photoshop and ridiculous status' are the worst.
  23. I want the guy on the left, his eyebrows remind me of Mr. Bean.
  24. As far as can be seen there's no reason why it shouldn't work. It's been tested multiple times by multiple users and at this point you're the only one with the issue. Thus far, our "control group" shows a minute percentage with the issue. Yes, of course it is possible that other users have the issue, but until there's more evidence to prove that it frankly isn't worth making changes for such a tiny percentage of the population. It could certainly be that it is failing to set off a cookie, but as it has been successful in every other environment it is hard to see what can be done on this end. I know you live with strict internet controls at your house, but if possible attempting usage of this function in a different environment could go a long way. Perhaps try at a local library or internet cafe? You also need to bear in mind that it isn't quite as easy as "just making it work for you". I'm sure you are quite aware, but with every change to code you make (particularly something as large as this forum) it's effects are echoed in many locations. As this modification would be something done solely by the admins I doubt they would be able to get support from IPB as I assume they have a clause in their licensing agreement for not providing support to user-created modifications. If this was still phpBB with the enormous amount of resources due to the open source standard, such a modification would be a significantly smaller undertaking. I understand completely that this is a frustrating issue for you, I definitely use this feature often, but I just don't see how it's going to be feasible to change.
