  1. It's not "people", just staff; I can only assume it's some kind of April fool's joke.
  2. And that, my liege, is how we know the earth to be banana-shaped.
  3. Buy hundreds of crickets from the local pet store (should only cost a few dollars), show up early, then release a few dozen at a time into different points in the school. If enough of them survive to breed and infest, lawsuits will ensue. Fix'd That's why he shows up early. They can't do a damn thing if they don't know he did it  All they have to do is go to the local pet store and ask if a highschool aged kid bought 100+ crickets...would be pretty easy to find you then.
  4. I don't think prosecution was overboard, it's the tagging and criminal record that are way out of left field. A warning/fine would have been more than sufficient.
  5. Nor I. Almost level 74 :D
  6. Same setup, with a 5770 as well. Problem happened to me as well, but I honestly don't remember what/if anything I did to fix it.

The only book I really liked in that series was Ender's Game itself, the others I just couldn't get into. As of late I've not been much into fiction anyway, mostly programming books and history acticles for me!
  8. You could have just said "post count" ;)
  9. If you go out with her ever then an [wagon] kicking is fully justified. I don't know about ever, but definitley take some time. You should at least ask your friend for permission first as well, if he's a good friend he will be ok with it (after a few weeks or a little longer).
  10. I personally know several people who were trolls, as you say, but have cleaned up their act eventually due to repeated warnings. There has to be a standard here, with equal treatment for everyone, and people deserve second chances. This is the internet - trolls happen. Trolls are dealt with here, but at a pace similar to their offence. There's no reason to implement something like a "once chance you're gone" policy just because someone makes a wisecrack on a topic.
  11. You know, as much as it's good to have lofty ambitions, don't set yourself unreasonable goals. You would need to be competent with Javascript, html, css, php and mysql to make something like arenascape. Try mastering html/css first - they can be great fun and are great building blocks for future learning.
  12. Try damn interesting. Some of the longer articles may be up to 3k words, only problem is they don't post new articles much anymore.
  13. I suppose I could have been more clear. Recently I've been having more problems, ergo the post asking for ping rates. Gameplay will be fine for a little bit, then a little lag will creep in, until suddenly (and isn't it always in the worst combat spots?) I lose connection and it has to reload. I thought Java might have been the problem or the browser or...well, a whole bunch of things. I can't figure out what it is, but I've wondered about this for a while anyway. That's more of a connection quality issue imo. Like Peter said, MMO's, especially RS, don't necessarily need super low ping to function. Ping between 100-150 is just fine for RS, and you probably wouldn't notice any delay for anything under 200. Try running this test, and posting your results. http://pingtest.net/
  14. Wow, all this talk of how hard ICC10 normal is makes me wonder how anyone is ever going to beat 25H before Catyclysm comes out.
  15. I always lol at these, it has been you doing the others right? :P OT. Crazy kids. I'll post them as the opportunity arises. As my last terrible joke, let's be thankful this wasn't a hack-and-slash game like Diablo II. I'm suprised the killer didn't get away, everyone knows you run fast with a knife.
  16. Chrome 4 beta appears to be ranking significantly above opera 10.5. Ran the test on IE7 and got an abysmal 306, browser froze four times as well lmao.
  17. Not a big fan of the third, but the others are very nice :D

Unsuprising. I assume Google will be pulling out shortly.
  19. I always lol at these, it has been you doing the others right? :P OT. Crazy kids.
  20. Weird choices lol. Lady Gaga looks ridiculous and like a man, and Kristen Stewart looks like someone has permanently taken a dump right under her nose... Just imo though :)
  21. did you take them out of the .rar files and properly into their new folders? Have you enabled them in the character select screen? Lich King down in 10 man, still stalling on blood queen 25. Nice, good luck. Got level 68 yesterday, Northrend this afternoon :D Should be a good time.

That's what I first thought of when I saw this thread :P
  23. Well I know google is testing a bunch of fibre optic conecctions in the states, I doubt we would get anything up around here though.
  24. IE9

obfuscator replied to dsavi's topic in Tech and Computers
Point being is designers will still have to develop for IE8 (alongside of IE9, Opera, Firefox, Safari) because a large majority of the population uses windows XP. Yeah, it sucks (it's an old OS after all) but it's not hard just to let XP use it. Funny how Microsoft almost does something right and then [bleep]s it up. I know, right? As much as I'm sure Microsoft is dying to see more people move to vista/7 I can't see XP losing it's majority market share till at least 2015...and they should cater regardless. Friggin Microsoft, last time I actually paid for one of their products was 4 years ago, and I don't plan to go back.
