What was the problem? If it was something to do with the driver (don't see why/how but whatever) then you may be able to get a newer version, which would enable you to have your low ping and sound too. the problem was (idk how...but..) with the sound card enabled, my ping goes anywhere from 140-220+ (in crossfire) and when i disabled it, it was normal, 35. so im not sure if buying a new sound card or getting diff sound card drivers would fix it or not Link to the solution? http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/12568-high-fps-high-ping-games-solution-anyone-4.html its on page 4, the first post on page 4. by suzkeh00 Hmm, I was hoping for a little more comprehensive of a solution than that. Try updating the drivers, but I'm inclined to doubt it would fix the problem. Don't buy a new sound card, as if he is having the same problem (guy on that forum) it's highly unlikely he has the same sound card. Also try to install all the windows updates...other than that you may be out of sound until microsoft fixes whatever the problem is. Oh and you could try to run the game in XP mode, and see if that helps. i bought my computer friday, so theres really no updates. i've installed the ones that were downloaded. also..how do i switch to xp mode? In the properties for that program (the [Caution: Executable File] or shortcut) there should be a checkbox saying "run in xp mode" or else a drop down, "run in compatability mode for".
