overcrowded. are you SRS. Definitely 100% yes. Wow lol. Thats kind of ignorant. We have so much of the world left. You really honestly believe you're being selfless not having kids? Thats pretty messed up. Agreed. The world isn't overpopulated at all - its an excuse made up by people too selfish to admit the real problem: wealth distribution. And yes, I think not having kids is selfish...sometimes. I can accept that not everyone is meant to have kids, some people just won't make good parents, or have other priorities, etc. But I do think people who get married(in my mind putting themselves into a prime child-raising environment) are selfish to not have kids. Look at what they say: "I want to enjoy my own life, I don't want kid's to ruin it." That's pretty selfish to me - having children is the greatest gift and the most selfless on anyone can give to the world.
  2. Hell no, you a virgin? Nope. Please, try to tell me reproduction isn't the natural purpose of sex.
  3. I'm only going to reply to Saru's post, as what the rest are saying is pretty much covered/its going to get long Wrong. We do it, because we love our partner. Not only for pleasure, but because we, like all humans need a companion to help us get through life. And to the response of your next paragraph; even if we don't get married its not like we're going to have kids anyways. I mean if either way we won't have kids, why even bring kids into it? And also, there are many wonderful gay couples who adopt kids off of the street, and give them great lives and are superb fathers, or mothers to them. Yes, you do it because you love your partner - an admirable feat regardless of orientation. But it doesn't change the fact that you've stripped the act of its natural purpose - children. I'll liken it to this. You rob a bank to donate a large sum of money to Haiti. Is donating a large sum of money to Haiti a great, honourable, respectable thing to do? Absolutely. But you've warranted the act invalid by taking away the natural purpose - giving from yourself. One wrong and a right don't make a right, if you will. Oh, and gays are superb fathers and mothers, right? I agree...they definitely can be. But there's a reason why we're naturally made to have a significant male and female in our lives. A huge amount of people in jail were born with only one parent - aka missing influence of a solid family grounded with a male and female perspective. Whatt? They wanted to have their wedding ceremomy at a location. The location didn't allow, it discriminated based on their orientation. If a Latino Man wanted to work at my location, and I said no cuz you're latino. I would be sued. Do you see a difference? I don't. While yes business to have he right to not "serve" people; there's most likely more to the story then you're telling us. Yes, and suing them for it was discriminating based on their religion. They have the right to practice it, and while you may think its stupid, freedom of religion is protected, but here we see it being shafted over a new freedom - I don't call that fair. The whole story? That's it, that's whats so remarkable. First off, I'd like to thank you for granting us use of the word "relatioships". I mean what? Are the quotation marks really necessary? Second, I'd like to thank you for your permission for us to be in a relationship. Third, I'd like to warn you. WATCH OUT! We are a threat to your marriage! We're out for blood! Sorry for the sarcasm, I couldn't resist XD You're correct on the first point, they weren't necessary. I conceded that many homosexuals have real relationships. Secondly, you're welcome. Thirdly, yes, you are a threat. Look what happened when probibition stopped.. more people drank. When something is seen as acceptable in society, people are going to do it more. Now we won't see results now, and yes, homosexuals are a small % of the population, but as more and more people become gay having children is something that becomes less and less important. Already due to the baby boomers getting old america and the west are facing a huge healthcare/economic crisis, as spending power is being hugely decreased due to an aging population. This contributes, or at least will. And ps. This is a result of the society today - where advertizing preaches a philosphy of "take what you want, when you want, with no regard to others". Selfishness is the root of all the evil and unrest in society today. Why are there wars? Because countries are too selfish to see anything but their own interests. Why is there world hunger? Because people are too selfish to go without to help someone less fortunate.
  4. Then I guess it could be done only for items that aren't free? It would be difficult though with prices changing all the time.
  5. Uh, why? Uh, why not? Why shouldn't they be able to marry even if they love each other? The "ew that's gross" factor doesn't apply here; it really doesn't matter if people find it gross. There's also levels and degrees with which this needs to be discussed. For example, an adult/child relationship, even when the child is of age, could in fact be the result of abuse and forced coercion without the son/daughter even being aware of it. I am skeptical of it being legal in this type of relationship, specifically because the odds are on the side of it being forced coercion and not the result of true consent, and is therefore a form of rape. There are a lot of "why nots". Genetic mutation, degredation of moral standards in society for instance. And to play devils advocate - what if the child actually wants it? Then why not? Shouldn't we just allow it? Same goes for polygamy.
  6. Uh, why? This is magekillr we're talking about, pretty sure he wants to legalize everything. ;) I have a few issues with homosexual marriage. Kids - are the most basic, most natural reason for sex. Since gays can't produce kids through sex, then they've made the act illegitimate. They've stripped it of its natural purpose and are using it only for pleasure (something which unfortunately many others do as well). Some may say: "Some couples may chose not to have kids". I think that's selfish - the world needs children to survive. People forget that they too were kids once, and if they never have any..well lets just say this is far more of a threat to our future as a race than aids or "global warming". I also have an issue with the way homosexuals tend to force themselves onto everyone. I don't know what ammendment it is in the states, but it seems like "freedom of orientation" (something which, btw, is not in the original charter) supercedes all other freedoms. For example, a few years back a lesbian couple wished to have their wedding reception at a knights of Columbus hall. (For those who don't know, the knights of Colombus are a cathoic mens group) They were refused. They took the KOC to court, and while they didn't win an outright victory, COK had to pay the couple several thousand dollars for "hurt feelings". This just goes to show how one right (right to orientation) is superceding freedom of religion (much more widely used and mature in its practice). On the flip side, however, I also firmly beleive homosexual activity and "relationships" should not be illegal or in any way restrained by law. While I may have my personal beleif that homosexuality is wrong and inappropriate, people do have freedom to do what they want. They should be allowed to. I just don't beleive that further threatening the state of marriage in society is beneficial or necessary.
  7. Same, if it's done its done. Ghjjf left because he was bored with the game - once summer is over I'm sure he'll resume his boredness and quit again. And if he does, there is no point keepind DI open, because as much as you may like to make fun of him DI woudln't be the same without him. I highly doubt they could get anywhere close to their old power as well.
  8. I like BMW's, and audis. Not a huge fan of ferarri/lambo. I really want a hyundai sonata though, weird man crush... :?
  9. Its a waste of money trying, why not expect the other intelligent life to find us? Maybe the other intelligent life forms are thinking this same thing, and are waiting for us to find them. If we all did that, nobody would be found. Exactly. I do believe in fiscally responsible space exploration (ex obamas new space plan is much better, pity about the wasted money though) but the universe is out there, surrounding us, and one day we will need to know more about it to survive.
  10. That's cool. I'm hopeful that by the time I die we will at least know of a planet we could inhabit somewhere, or even one already inhabited. The problem is that in order to make interstellar travel practical we would need to be able to travel faster than light speed - even that planet you indicated would obviously take 1600 years to reach at light speed. I just don't see that happening any time soon.
  11. Sherlock Holmes - 8/10. Plot was ok, acting was good, especially Jude law, and the music/sound was amazing. Avatar - 7/10 Visually impressive and dramatically dull. Predictable and rushed. The Lovely Bones - 10/10. Phenomenal movie, best I've seen in years, though from what I read of reviews most don't share that opinion. The fact that PJ made a movie with Mark Wahlberg in it and he didn't ruin it is very impressive ;) Brothers - 8.5/10. Kind of creepy/depressing, but very well done. Toby Mcguire wasn't as silly and as he usually is. Princess and the Frog - 8.5/10. Nice to see Disney going back to 2d animation, was very interesting and the songs were great(something lacking in recent Disney movies)
  12. I did something similar with a jquery tutorial, but it took a lot of messing around with. Dunno if its what you want but try here: http://www.queness.com/post/966/jquery-drop-down-menu-for-rss-subscription-tutorial
  13. It is the upkeep for your ramparts, destroy them to lower that  Hmm well that explains it...WHAT THE [bleep] THOUGH 3k STONE?? :(
  14. For some reason my "army" ( I don't have one) is using up 3k stone...why is this, and how can I fix it?
  15. And I agree with you completely. We will one day run out of fossil fuels - that much is undeniable. But if we are trying to replace them, it should be because of that fact, not because they "might" be bad for the environment. And yes, a [cabbage]load more research needs to be done into fuel alternatives, as hybrid cars that actually save fuel are largely impractical and quite expensive, and I already made the ethanol point.
  16. Why spend billions of dollars making wind farms that can only be used when it's windy? Why start using "water-efficient" toilets that clog the minute anything solid goes into them? Why use hybrid cars that are more expensive to maintain, have poor fuel economy, and don't save much at all? Why use ethanol fuel as an alternative to fossil when the emissions are just as bad and production is largely impractical? The question I'm trying to raise here is: Is it worth it? If we had ireffutable proof that we were causing global warming and the planet would explode in 10 years, oh and "findings" and "commissions" looked at both sides of the story, and articles didn't have to exagerate facts, oh and graphs didn't have to be overweighted...then, maybe then, it would be worth it. But as of now?...Lets stop the public panic and donate that money to poor children in africa. Because, I'm sorry, but I fail to see how spending billions of dollars to "try" to lower earth's temperature by 1 degree is worth more than a human life. In response to your edits: I agree absolutely the environment shouldn't be abused. Personally I turn off all lights when I'm not using them, eat a lot of vegetables(as opposed to meat), take the bus/bike 95% of the travelling I do, try to minimize my waste. But I do that because I don't want to abuse our environment, not because I'm sold into some media-induced panic.
  17. Denial? Not outright. It's certainly possible global warming exists, and we have something to do with it. But my question to you is this: Why the [bleep] should governments be spending billions and trillions of dollars attempting to fix an "issue" so surounded by controversy that little or no concrete evidence exists? Especially when such massive amounts of money could be put to so much better use.
  18. Hi James, I heard you can't tank?
  19. D0nts is a beast from what I remember so I guess piling him early was a bad choice :P Looks like fun.
  20. Any clan who accepts members as trials from their paired clan and vice versa should be kicked from the tourney imo.
  21. Let see.. $05.00 Call of Duty 1 $35.00 Call of Duty MWF1 $20.00 Splinter Cell - chaos theory $05.00 Original splinter cell $10.00 Halo $02.50 Team Fortress 2 $45.00 some silly rts, forget the name $117.50 Yeah maybe I'm forgetting something but it can't be over $150. Oh and then 2yrs rs membership at $60 per year....
  22. Yes, lets just write a hugely complex algorith to determine human behaviour, you know that kind of thing could easily be done in a week. Lets also baby our players with bad internet connections: Going pking? Suck at it? Not anymore! With the new autostayalive feature, just sit back and let the computer do everything for you! I do like #25 and 26 though. As for the originals, I like them too...just not #1.
  23. See that is the kind of thing that might be doable while the game is in developement, but I think we can all agree that were it to be implemented now it would ruin the game.
  24. Ok so after playing for a few weeks I see some major issues. Firstly - glitches: Nothing major...but I haven't seen them get fixed yet. Secondly - Jcredits - ridiculously overpriced, you should definitely be able to use ingame gold to purchase stuff in the store. The way it is now I have no JCredits and without any construction speed boosters I basically just log in once a day, make a new building then leave. This game incourages afk - you can't really play it at all unless you have a huge amount of JCredits or whatever. Once a day is all I need to log in now and my stuff is around level 10...once I get higher it will be once every 3 days which is just stupid. Oh and the fact people can attack you when you're gone? Also stupid...I haven't been attacked yet but I would like to be able to defend myself. The whole "game active when you're gone" idea is interesting, but just impractical, and to be honest makes for a [cabbage]ty game. If they reset it after the beta, I won't continue playing. Otherwise, I'll just keep checking it as often as I check my hotmail...every few days.
  25. Meh I guess its nice to get that confirmed...I never used it past level 90 anyway.
