  1. Rangers over preds, eh? That is bold...but certainly possible.
  2. Edmonton picking #1 for the third straight year. Poor Columbus...
  3. Final predictions: Rangers vs Sens - Rangers in 6 Bruins vs Caps - Bruins in 6 Panthers vs Devils - Devils in 7 Pens vs Flyers - Pens in 7 Nucks vs Kings - Nucks in 6 Blues vs Sharks - Blues in 7 Coyotes vs Hawks - Coyotes in 7 Preds vs Wings - Preds in 7 Rangers vs Devils - Rangers in 6 Bruins vs Pens - Pens in 7 Nucks vs Preds - Nucks in 7 Blues vs Coyotes - Coyotes in 7 Rangers vs Pens - Pens in 6 Nucks vs Coyotes - Nucks in 6 Pens vs Nucks - Pens in 7
  4. Is that really a re-seed though? I always thought they just based it off the original standings...
  5. I couldn't find any good sites like that, but I am making a picture in paint to put up my predictions. I'll put the blank up once all of the playoff spots are finalised. Quick question - do they reseed after every round? Not exactly. They basically just use the original seeds and match up that way. New redictions: Rangers vs Sens - Rangers in 6 Bruins vs Caps - Bruins in 6 Panthers vs Devils - Devils in 7 Pens vs Flyers - Pens in 7 Nucks vs Sharks - Nucks in 6 Blues vs Kings - Blues in 7 Coyotes vs Hawks - Coyotes in 7 Preds vs Wings - Preds in 7 Rangers vs Devils - Rangers in 6 Bruins vs Pens - Pens in 7 Nucks vs Preds - Nucks in 7 Blues vs Coyotes - Coyotes in 7 Rangers vs Pens - Pens in 6 Nucks vs Coyotes - Nucks in 6 Pens vs Nucks - Pens in 7 Seeding PHX much more optimistically this time.
  6. While I agree, I also feel like at the same time they haven't been playing hard during the regular season because they only care about the playoffs. The wild-card is Kesler - if he can play like he did last year they're a legit threat. If not, not so much. On the hockey forum I posted on, I actually went out on a limb and picked Phoenix to win the cup. It's a stretch, sure, but if everything goes right for them it's definitely possible. They've got great defense and goal-tending, the best shutdown center in the league (imo) and their offense isn't bad at all. Plus they're one of the hardest-working teams in the league and they can really hurt you physically too.
  7. I can't see Phoenix getting swept by vancouver. Plus if they win tomorrow night they'll win the pacific and finish in third...
  8. Metal isn't descriptive in itself, it's only because you have genre knowledge to know what it means. In the same way, if you have further genre knowledge then you'll understand what crunkcore and progressive metal are. The problem with music is that it's often difficult to describe.
  9. Well, all spots are now clinched and the matchups are basically locked down. PREDICTION TIME Round 1 Rangers vs Caps - Rangers in 6 Boston vs Ottawa - Boston in 4 Florida vs NJ - NJ in 7 Pittsburgh vs Philly - Pittsburgh in 7 Vancouver vs Phoenix - Vancouver in 6 ST. Louis vs San Jose - San jose in 7 LA vs Chicago - chicago in 7 Nashville vs detroit - detroit in 7 Round 2 Rangers vs Pittsburg - Pittsburgh in 7 Boston vs NJ - Boston in 6 Vancouver vs Detroit - vancouver in 6 san jose vs chicago - chicago in 7 Round 3 Pittsburg vs Boston - Pittsburgh in 7 Vancouver vs Chicago - Vancouver in 7 Round 4 Pittsburgh vs Vancouver - Pittsburgh in 7
  10. It's like a law against bullying. Nice in principle, useless in actuality.
  11. > Claims cooking shouldn't be specific to man or woman > Claims men cook stuff better
  12. Seriously? Men cooking shouldn't be impressive. It should be the standard. Just because it should be doesn't mean it is....
  13. Thought this was funny: http://twitter.com/#!/ChrisWarcraft/status/186908868306149378
  14. Ew, buffalo :P And yeah, from what I've heard they're gone completely.
  15. I've gotten used to not clicking them...but yeah, twitter trending topics are unfortunate. Kind of makes one depressed that so many people find those topics important...
  16. Bump I know, but I thought this was hilarious. [hide=Possibly NSFW] [/hide]
  17. That sucks It gets better. Watch the price is right or wheel of fortune sometime, and realize that when someone wins a car, they suddenly owe half the value of that car in income taxes. I think most people end up selling the car, or anything else expensive that they win, to pay for the tax on it. Yeah... It is complete bullshit. Those people winning $1,000,000 on gameshows are really only walking away with 400k-600k after it is all said and done. If you're actually winning money it's fine. 400k is still a lot. But if you win a car, for instance, and can't afford the taxes, that sucks.
  18. Plus you can get really cheap hockey tickets. Hell, you could probably even buy the team :P
  19. Lottery earnings are taxed in the US. Not in Canada, and I guess not in Australia either.
  20. PG fired as habs GM. Not a big surprise imo, and the right move.
