When he says that the cannon doesn't apply to multicombat system he probably means someone attacking multiple monsters using a cannon in a single-combat area. Yes, this is possible, just make sure none of the monsters can touch you and your cannon will shoot them all. Yep, cannons are really annoying, but you can't really stop people from using them, can you? :
