It aint the average computer, Celeron's don't even exist any more. Intel finally figured out the lack of cache severely degraded speed. And since adverts are all about the CPU time, that's probably the cause. Oh great. #-o Got to update that next time we discuss about computer upgrading, I guess. :? *looks at to-buy list* not gonna be soon though.. just gotta suffer and report all those annoying Adverts then.

Mine doesn't. $1050. Core 2 Duo OCed to 3.66, GTX 260 OCed, 8 GB OCZ Reaper @ 1066 Mhz, and I don't lag a bit. It's a 1000 dollar 6 month old computer, nothing close to top of the line. P2P = no adverts. :P Unless you play on a F2P account, too, don't know about that.. The heavy adverts combined with the game cause most computers to freeze. I have an quite old computer (BIOS is Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG, Intel Celeron CPU 2.66Ghz, 1024MB of RAM) which at least, in my understanding (I might be wrong, though, this computer hasn't been updated in about 2-3 years, unless you count in the Graphic Card change [last one broke]), is quite close to the average computer, and some of the adverts make the game freeze for at least 5-10 seconds, if not even so bad I have to close the browser. You better hope Jagex doesn't notice that.. :?

Some of the adverts are EXTREMELY HEAVY, I bet even a computer with high specs would suffer at least some level of lag from them.
