I'm trying to do it from my room however, longest cable I've got is 2ft, I'd need... Oh say.. something of a 60ft cable to do it where I'd like -.-

What I'm doing is im using a plain ethernet cable which I know works, plugging it into my mac which the internet is off of wifi, and I'm trying to get live from it. What am I doing wrong/how do I get live?
