well if u use this equation i got from the web... (att bonus(in the att style)+str bonus+prayer bonus)/speed* speed: dagger:1 short swords:1.25 Scims:1.3 longsword and mace:1.5 battlehammer/axe:1.75 2h:2------>2h requires 2h -.- so its not recommended by the website if its a 1one1 or the enemy is attacking you so this way u can find out all the scores for the rune weapons, and then take it away from the rune armour's defense bonuses dagger:49........................-158 short sword:62.................-145 scim:68...........................-141 long sword:64..................-145 mace:53.........................-139 battlehammer:58...............-134 battleaxe:61....................-131 2h:70..............................-137 as you can see by the final scores, battleax is actually better than scim in a rune against rune situation. I tried this out at cw and it actually seems to work. However if you are facing a noob then u can use a scim and cut him down quick, and if you are piling someone you can use 2h if ur not being attacked.

i'll think about the defender. I'm more of a safe type of person so i would pefer a shield... :| And i also don't know how long it usually takes to get a rune def, including time for tokens

I say fire bolt on lessers. there r a lot of safespots, lessers gives good drops, a lot of hits, and they are WEAK to magic! I can hit 12s back to back to back on them! :lol: Lessers also drop fire and chaos runes for the spell, and even some death runes. All you need is about 5 lobsThis method is a bit expensive as i spent about 250k training from 49 to 55. Heres the estimation im making to up ur mage from 42 to 55(for high alc, which is easy xp) chaos runes:around 3500 (360k) fire runes: around 14,000 (126k) (use fire runes and air staff as it saves money even though u need more fire runes. You can also pick up fire runes at the demons) money spent:<490k money gained (without rune med helm):from 15k to 30k depending on you luck ;) money gained (with rune med helm): from 25k to 45k so basically if u want some good drops and is willing to spent a bit money i recommend fire bolts. to train from ur stage to 55 u need around 450k. Its not cheap but you can do either fire strike on fire wizard or cruse with full metal armour and train to lvl 50 then use fire bolts.

i agree with goblin as i just did that today. However i think u can either fish lobs and swordies as im fishing 62 and i do that when i get bored :D

hummmm i checked the stats and obby has lower melee def than rune kit -.- so should i either use obby or rune berserker?

I'm becomming memb 4 first time ever. I was wondering if i should buy either obby shield or drag sq. drag sq is pretty expensive at my lvl, and i still need to do all the required quests :shock: , gain 68 more quests points :shock: :shock: and up 174 more lvls before i meet the requirements :shock: :shock: :shock: should i go head and aim for dragon sq or should i settle for obby... here are my non memb stats that r combat and legends quest related 65 att 66 str 65 def 66 hp 50 range 43 pray 55 mage 27 craft 62 mine 45 smith 63 wc all other memb lvl required are 1 :oops: :oops: :oops: all advices would be welcome

I'm pretty self efficient... i trained my cooking along with my fishing as you can see and I've always made my own fire runes and air runes to train my mage. The only skill I can remember spending tons of money on is prayer as it is so hard to train...

I say crafting as my crafting lvl is 27 :oops: and i rarely ever need to cut my gems or make armour and stuff.... plus cut gems is worth less than uncut

yeah i heard peeps taking on dragons with godswords but i don't belive it green dragons can hit 45s with dragon breath, their average is like 30s with every dragon breath, and thats only green dragons! :shock: emagine what red and black dragons can do... i wouldn't b suprised if KBD can kill a lvl 100+ in 3 hits if they don't bring anti dragonfire shield...

my biggest regret is that i tried grinding lvls. after i trained my combat from 60 to 65 i realized the point of rs isn't keep clicking to get a higher lvl and i started to enjoy my self. I'm now lvl 80 and i do not have any regrets what so ever about my decisions beacuse i do what i want to do not what other peeps say i should do. :) i learned this a few years ago and forgot who said tis but: "don't live you life on regrets"

u know i think the point of rs isn't comparing lvls and clicking over and over again to gain a high lvl *fletching* the point is to have fun. :D i'm a lvl 80 and i rarely train. I've been playing rs since 05 and i would say most peeps that started around then are way higher than me but i don't care. i don't really care about summoning as i have always been a f2p and even if i become p2p i doubt i will grind summoning lvls. I only train when i'm bored or when i want to.

hey i have exactly the same problem my main trained mage from 65 to 80 and spent god-knows-how-much money :lol: although if you want to have fun i recommend a few hours of grinding at any of your higher money making lvls, and then just do some resarch and merch in ge. 8-) For example i brought tons of air runes few weeks ago and sold them all at max price.. .I was at cw goofing off and i made like half a million in about an hour :shock: rite now most of my incom comes from ge and i'm able to support both of my characters :) There is a risk though you gotta do some research and look at charts and figure out whats going to rise and wts going to go down. If you item goes down u gotta wait for it to go back up. As u are not good at that i would say go with low priced items like runes and stuff cuse those don't fluctuate often... And i think dragon hunting or slayer is pretty fun and ok money making
