Camp out the heaviest fish until full compile, you should never be trying to figure out the combinations because the fc provides it for you, (yes tragedy of the commons etc idc). This way you acquire more fish. Also quick-casting nets you about 30 extra fish per round too. Only problem is you need to pay attention a lot incase the big fish message comes up but you get the hang of it eventually. And if you don't know what quick-casting is, it's when you stare at the number that tells you how many fish you've caught, and as soon as it goes up you click cast. This removes the whole animation of recasting your rod and saves you time.

Merching hasn't required intelligence or skill of any sort ever since Zarfot published the definitive guide on it years ago. Before Zarfot, it was not widely known, and so it took intelligence and some skill. That was years ago though. Zarfot has published all the tips and tricks on how to merchant with ease, provided you're literate enough to read his guide (not exactly a difficult feat). Since that time, everyone has known about it, and there are hundreds of clans that you can join that will teach you everything, and they even have their own little guides. So no, merchanting is not some skillful activity. I haven't seen this Zarfot guide, I'll check it out. Also I just wanted to say that, to this day, I still get pm's asking how to flip items, which is the most basic and easiest form of merchanting. I cannot judge how difficult it is to do but I can say that there are people who need help, or think they need it. Regardless of how difficult it is, the point I was trying to make is that merchanting does not rely on luck as heavily as staking does. Yes there is definitely an element to it, but nowhere near as significant as staking.

I think the main difference Rufioso is trying to impart is that merching items (along with bossing too) are healthier forms of making money, as opposed to staking. This is because there is no factor of getting lucky. I understand there are things you can do at the duel arena to make you more likely to win which requires knowledge, but definitely not to the same extent as merching items.

Yeah you will beat me, I have a maths exam I really need to study a lot for on wednesday next week. I also don't want to spend any money on smith/con since they have about 11 warband days left on them. I'll probably do smith/hunt/con/farm/fish all in one go to max maybe by end of next week or a bit later. You're still shit ezkaton :)

Yeah there are 6 players from Efficiency Experts who have been banned this wave, a little bit of a shock to be honest.
