Fallen Star
Zathe tries to find some kind of connection, to avoid directly talking to the AI, where it can be overheard. It then tries to find out where the ship is going, why it has malfuctioned and some of the humans have been awoken, and how long the people have been here.

It would just restrict aim and movement, allowing me to destroy the attacker more easily.

Fallen Star
Zathe goes into the AI containment room.

Hey, the radioactive coating was actually a good idea. If I didn't scrap all my ships to start again (I kicked myself after I did that) I could have won. Or at least ended up on a galactic stalemate. Since I was pretty much unattackable. Defensive strategy for the win. And yeah, my population was huge, but it slipped under the "Natural Disaster" radar, because I didn't draw attention to it. Kind of lulzy. Then I built a huge computer and tried to wreck physics.

Dungeons & Dragons
"As Jakk, last of the Tornclaw clan lies slain in the spring deep within the mountain, the aura of blight that fills the air begins to lift, and the plague begins to fade. Our adventurers fought long and hard, often with each other rather than the enemy, but they have succeeded in what they set out to do, and have proven themselves slighly less incompetant than originally assumed. Unfortunately, all is not well, for Jen's sight has been struck down by a vile disease, and with no cleric powerful enough to heal the damage for miles around, the party will need to quickly find some way of healing her eyesight and restoring the wizard to full potential. How they will go about this, not even they know. Join us next time, folks!" Everyone in the party gains 350XP from this quest, and some loot which has already been divided out.

Zathe continues walking down the corridor with singleminded determination.

Fallen Star
Zathe follows the new information to the core of the ship.

Wrong. Innocence could have a completely different meaning from one person to the next. We'd probably want to stick to the typical three laws.

Just so happens that the two people who are unsuitable want to do it. And this is a good reason that we should give this a rest. Threads tend to get re-energised when you give them a rest. Just look at the second Hegemony. And hopefully the new one as well.

This project seems slightly unbalanced . Since everyone who doesn't get involved will be put at a (Overly Massive) disadvantage when the research is finished, and if everyone gets involved, it ceases to be an advantage at all.

Earth, I've told you before, you aren't really moderator material.

Dungeons & Dragons
Ah. Lemme fix that. Hopefully. Try now. 90.200.144.211

Hex will not be moderator. I don't think anybody except him wants that.

If Nex can get in, I guess we could start. It'd be preferable if we waited for Paul though, with the upcoming boss battle and all.

Grim, cutting unprecisely will lead to it detonating above your city, and since we're talking nuclear bombs, the damage would still be pretty catastrophic. Slowly pushing a bomb away which is moving at several dozen feet per minute downwards doesn't seem like the best idea. You'd probably just make it spin or something. The best bomb protection is preventing it from being dropped in the first place.

Well, to be honest, if another player takes up the torch, there would be like... four players left. I believe it's time to let it die, but if somebody is crazy enough to continue, they can.
-
Hegemony
Sigh. There is no realistically feasible way of stopping a bomb, short of firing a giant trampoline with thrusters attached to it. Of course, taht wouldn't work either due to air resistance.
-
Dungeoneering
Eh, it had a good run.
-
Dungeons & Dragons
Guess we're waiting for Paul/Grim/Earth then.

All of these anti-bomb measures would be inneffective. The shell would have to be fired from pretty much directly beneath the bomb, meaning they would need to be in all your cities, and the strange shape would make calculating trajectory a nightmare, if it could be fired at all. Shooting the detonator is pure guesswork. There is no way you can calculate the location of the detonator inside the bomb, as well as the position of the bomb itself, in the time it takes it to hit the ground after being dropped from the plane. I estimate a less than 5% success rate at best. A bomb disarmer device suffers from the same problems as above, but on a larger scale. Hacking a bomb. Yes, because all bombs have LAN capabilities. And wireless internet access. I suddenly feel like we have plunged into a Die Hard Movie.

We can start whenever at least four players are here.

Except you can't get weapons grade uranium or plutonium from the corner shop.

It's only available on Wii. Get it, it's amazing.
