Okay, I think I get it now. Are there any research penalties from diverting 70% of AIG into infrastructure though? Otherwise declaring war doesn't really do anything, since any damage done can be countered by shuffling some funding into infrastructure, right?

Wait, I'm confused. Has Hex actually lost any money at all from our invasion? Or can things like that be countered by instantly diverting funds to infrastructure without taking any penalty to research time.

Theres a networking FAQ on the maptool forums, maybe you could try that?

I have never had that error before. Perhaps it's something to do with your Java version? Either that, or the firewall.

When I say oppression I mean "If you say this, we'll shoot you."

Oppression of populace is almost never a good option. I don't think you understand that.

Session should be 10:30 today, assuming Paul is here. If not, he should see this anyway, and arrive at 10:30 tommorow :-P

If you are going to have them all constantly broadcasting a signal, it's going to require even more equipment to be able to monitor it all. Besides, it isn't difficult to rig a microwave to go off without the glass panel on the front. Just point that at your arm or wherever the chip is for 4-5 seconds and the chip is fried. A basic EMP can be assembled from easily obtainable materials, and would probably be able to mess with the chip.

For reference, how much force is 50 kilotonne?

Chips and tattoos wouldn't actually help the crime rate that much. If somebody really wanted to commit a crime, there are many ways of removing things like that. EMP, for instance. Pointing a microwave at somebody would probably work as well, if it was next to the skin.

I don't know, the whole process seems like an overcomplicated mess.
-
Hegemony
Wait, how would one go about altering genetics to the point where the human body can manufacture it's own microchip.
-
Hegemony
I think putting an ID chip on a billion people, installing equipment to use said chip and getting the population to endorse the chip would take longer than 2-3 years. I'd say 5-10.

I'm thinking it would take longer than 5 years to implant everyone in India with an ID chip. Of course, if that's just research and there is a follow up project to insert it, then yeah. It just isn't very clear.

Well, with the successful defeat of loony land, Iranian troops are heading back to Iran to have a welcome home party. Research continues, major breakthroughs in Engineering and computer technology intended for use in exoskeletons (Meaning it's not got too long left to go) Most of the military is being let back to their families and previous jobs, with only 100,000 soldiers remaining on active duty.

He was secretly building a 100 megatonne nuke. Even if it is retroactive, I think that's a good reason.

Me and Kirby would have been stomped if we attacked. It's more like 4 gunmen versus a stupid elephant.

He was being an arrogant idiot, and was trying to put me under his total control. Of course I'm going to react violently. I'm just glad that I have such good support. Or rather, I'm supporting them

Icu, stop whiteknighting. It's probably subconcious, but still. Look. Not to mention saying "Give me 100 billion or I'll blow you up" To Kirby.

Mather, although I would not ally, I hold no grudges. Hex was just being a [bleep], is all.

Thank you Mather, I'm glad you've seen sense.

"Sir, our troops are marching on the capital, and their military is decimated" "Really? Prepare the white flags" "But sir-" "I SAID PREPARE THE WHITE FLAGS" Orders recieved, raze it to dust.

Dusty, you could have my share if you want it...I always hated the idea of having a country split into segments. Means more border to protect.

I figured. Mather, we have no quarrel with you. We could not sit and let Hex "Exercise his power" and ruin the game for smaller countries. He told Kirby to give him money or get blown up, and then he threatened to put me in a situation where he could kick me out of the game on a whim unless I did what he said. What was going to stop him from doing that to all the countries smaller than China?
