That's end up at around 200 million. Ross, how many drones will you send? And do you want all the weapons on each of them, or some of the drones would have a shotgun, some an smg, etc.? I'll probably end up equipping them all over the next few years. Starting a huge shipment of one million, through about a dozen supertanker style ships. Should take a few trips. I want the shotgun:SMG+pistol ratio to be 1:6. Is that acceptable?

That would be great, thanks Doom. I also forgot to mention the shotgun, I would like those as well. An Icarus drone model has been dispatched to wherever these guns are being produced, just shout when you've finished modifying the guns. And yes, a larger clip size would be much apprecciated.

Doom, if said Tamper devices are installed, can the weapons be modified by you to fit my drones? I could send one that has the AI removed for you to base it on, then you could produce a few hundered thousand and I could buy them. Sound good? I basically want the pistol and submachine gun to install onto my mechs, since the sniper can't really be used by an AI. EDIT: It looks like Findenland and Germania are totally ignoring each other's posts and making up war status. Probably not the smartest thing in the world.

You don't have drones ;) I basically lent my army to some allies to do with what they wish. I'm taking no active role, aside from a supplier. THIS IS MADNESS!

Sounds fun. I'll release the Cyclops and Titans from Tartarus as well. All of Aether's citizens are revealed to have been flying space robots from another planet. They proceed to start flying home before Ragnarok starts. [/madness] Back to reality now, guys?

Ah, I see what you're saying: Each rift goes to the middle of nowhere. In the middle of nowhere, there are a lot more rifts, which lead to other solar systems. Each rift is two-way, and the hub would be almost impossible to defend due to the amount of rifts there would be, correct? Why don't we just make a pact that the hub shall remain a neutral zone, with no combat near it?

[hide=Teh plan] No, that's incredibly stupid. Here was my idea. My idea makes sense to whoever's played mass effect. Basically, we find some artifact/thing that let's us travel (basically) instantaneously to a hub. The hub is in the middle of nothingness (maybe in between two galaxies.) From the hub we can go to a set number of different areas. Each area will have atleast 3 habitable planets, and ten solar systems within 10 lightyears of where the hub takes you. And there would be only 5-10 areas. The thing to get to the hub would be atleast 5 lightyears away from earth, so it takes some research to get there. Each area is far enough from all the others that we would never reach them within a thousand years atleast of lightspeed travel. Now, like in mass effect, there is no ftl travel other than these transporters (I don't know what to call them), so you are pretty much contained to the 10 lightyear area around where it comes out. This is kind of hard to explain with words so I drew a crappy picture. We wouldn't "discover" this for a while, but if we ever need to, we could. Is this ok with all? [/hide] I say we call them warp rifts or something. Make them neutral zones, with no combat allowed within 3/4 lightyear of each hub? Will there be multiple hubs, eventually? Think about it, if this game goes far enough, individual countries will no longer matter, since each planet will be owned by a single person, so multiple hubs would be required, most likely. Aside from those tiny problems, I like the idea. EDIT: 2 new page starts in a row ftw.

Since the question is still unanswered, I'll ask once more. Can we break the laws of physics ONCE for the sake of playability?

I use a special kind of invisibility in my Reaper drones. It utilises a camera on one side, and a ton of tiny, tiny screens on the other. It basically displays whatever is behind it, essentially making it seethrough. Althought I don't think that would work in an aircraft. FTL wont be allowed for the moment, but give it 30 years time, and it might be necessary.

Instantanious distance travel is overpowered. "I warp 10,000 troops into the centre of your city". If its going to happen, it will just be normal travel that is faster than light, not teleportation. Side note: Rhadamanthus I is now in orbit over Mars.

Where have we got to on the FTL travel argument? Again I ask: Can we break the rules of physics just once, for the sake of playability.

Lols, k. I'll go back to playing in the stone age for you. Counters for win buttons are so unrealistic! I know, right! Edit: in all seriousness; i.e. spacecraft - Aether let us play with their ship a little bit when we went to Mars and then had our colony blown up and nobody told me why couldn't it just stay in the air with loads of little hover thingies underneath it? if you find problem with this then whatever, screw the battleship thing Didn't your colony get lost when the map was remade? Thats what happened to mine, so maybe you could just make it again, and assume it never disappeared mysteriously.

Extremely fast magic
Smoke barrage on Skeletal monkies, or ice barrage on rock lobsters. Both are good, first one is for pure magic xp, second is for summoning. EDIT: 54 magic, I have no idea how to get fast xp at that level.

RPG, I'm basically taking the backseat in the war, command of a lot of drones has been given to some of my allies. I will not influence the desicions people decide to make though. Also, if the US had bailed out on Britain, I'd be talking German right now

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
This is what I'm saying. I know its stupidly impossible, unrealistic and makes like no sense, but I think it needs to be broken for the sake of playability. Do you really want to take a week to complete a retreat, or launch an attack? Without it, interstellar warfare is really lame.

Okay, I suppose Rhadamanthus I is now finished, but has not entered space yet. Construction of Rhadamanthus II should begin soon. I have also begun created parts for my space station. Dyson shard is basically finished, and is currently undergoing preperations for liftoff, Should arrive at its orbit location in about 1.5 years time. The small ship that retreives the power is also completed. Also, I still think that FTL travel should eventually be discovered, so that inerstellar warfare can play out at a decent rate, and not take like 2 months to make one tactical retreat. Yes, I know its basically impossible, but if every nation has it, it isn't really unfair, and it would make thos game much more playable. Can't we just do one unrealistically impossible thing, for the sake of playability?

Very quick paint drawing of my idea for them.

By now, Rhadamanthus I is in its final stages of completion, and will soon be launched on a test flight. Aether began toying with the idea of storing the human mind on a computer, but gave up after it realised that the human brain contains many, many millions of terabytes of data. Maybe in a few more years, though : Dyson shard is still progressing nicely. I am investing a lot of funding into creation of a space station in the orbit of mars. It will use the same plasma docking system that Doom has stated, and will be quite heavily defended, with extremely heat resistant material used in the outer shell, as well as rows of ARC cannons lining the sides. Brb drawing it in paint. Aether continues to research into FTL travel, with interest now turned to discovering a different dimension with the correct properties for it. Don't expect any breakthroughs for at least 40 years, though.

Okay, I think I have decided my next course of action. Aether will withdraw from the war, however, I will supply my allies (Mainly Japan) who are fighting with drones to use as they wish. Whichever desicion they make WILL NOT be influenced by me.

Yes Stealth Rock a move that is too overpowered why couldn't it have been more simliar to [bleep]es. -.- Stealth rock is waaaay overpowered. 50% on switch in with little setup time? Ugh.

Indeed... I am really begginning to have second thoughts about world war IV, and, rereading the reasons we have for fighting, very few of them are justifiable. Dusty did indeed say that he was not planning to expand much more, I seem to remember him saying so. I guess revenge drives people to do crazy things... Alrighty, I'm commanding all of my drones to stay still until somebody can persuade me to either step out, or keep fighting. I'm not withdrawing because I'm losing, either, Human losses for Aether are barely into the 2000 mark. Bleh, might as well add that the dyson fragment is nearly finished. I'm going to dump a ton of money into the restoration of Japan now, as well.

Logic would dictate that Tokyo's population be evacuated to safer areas as the war started, though. I'll have to ask Dungeon about that. Edit: Walka, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have time to change the targeting for every major city. You hit one city with a lot of rods, and did a ton of damage, but you cannot level a country in one move, no matter how much you want to. no, i hit 4 cities, but most of that was aimed at tokyo, as it is the biggest. but the other 3 are still heavily damaged. my satelites are big, and they carry alot of rods. and each "slot" for a rod is aimed individually, so they can all be fired in unison. Depends what you mean by heavy damage. a few street blocks destroyed, perhaps, but if we're talking anything more than that, its just getting stupid.
