[hide=Quote train] Somalia brings piracy to space! Yar! Anyways, the building of my bases in the Alps is going well. Also, I'd like to clarify: My country may be resource based, like Haven, but is nowhere enar that neutral. While Haven is basically pure cooperation, My country is still mainly working for its self. Oh, and It is being named The Land of Tan, after its leader. A flag is being made as we speak. Other than the creations of our bases, we are also beginning secret operations Fang and Ice. Also, what new technologies have been made that all have access to (ex: the antimatter power?) And what technologies could my country trade for once it gains more power? Well, a lot of nations use Exoskeleton troops at the moment. Basically mechanical suits which increase normal human capabilities. Mine are currently the most efficient/powerful, having been in development for over 20 years or so. Pirate, why would you need space lasers? I can't see real space combat happening for quite a while now... There is no doubt we will encounter outerspace life soon, im just preparing if they are hostile so we can take their ships down fast [/hide] If they were hostile, I'm sure my ARC cannons could take them down if they tried to attack a planet.

Uuuh, RoK, there are already colonies on Mars, it shouldn't take you 12 years... or, you could just buy a ship from Brazil/Norway.

Perfect. Okay, just choose where you want to put your Colony on the map, give it a name if you want, or just leave it as Japan.

a sandstorm that will reduce you to a pile of little more than bones, in a minute or two. And how much can it move? if it cant move that much ill take the land north east of it It shouldn't move outside of the boundry I set for it. Paul, you are Bulgaria, correct? It'd really help if you put your country in your signiature or underneath your avatar or something. Dungeon, I have sent the original colony ship back to Earth, so if you want to go ahead and put some Japanese scientists and colonists on there you can create your own colony.

Decided to create country boundries on Mars. (If you want to colonise around the Gallery of the Void, go right ahead, but if it moves, you'll die, so I really wouldn't bother.) I'm assuming everyone here understands that planets are round, and wont question me about "The mysterious nations at the edge of the map".

Your stressful situations
I don't get stressed much at all, really. Of course, thats usually a bad thing since it causes me to procrastinate a lot.

Your three wishes
Immortality, unless I choose to die. Universal inherent omniscience Omnipresence. I don't want to be able to interfere with anything, but I would love to just sit in a dark corner of nothingness(Or, due to the omnipresence, sit everywhere) and watch the universe around me change and eventually cease to be. I choose inherent omniscience because then at least you still have a reason to exist, wheras with total omniscience, you know everything and anything, future or past, and you have no reason for your existance.

Only if they either buy a ship, or actually research ships, since shuttles new players *might* have only hold a few people. So how about researching a ship takes at least 8 years? So the new player would have to wait 8 days to join in? I'd say we should just assume that the individual has enough money to create a ship and create a colony on mars. but only after all the countries on Earth are taken (If they are.) I have begun production on my own version of your multitool ship, by the way. It basically houses a lot less people, in exchange for higher foundry efficiency and cargo hold. Should have the two that are currently in production completed in 2-3 years. I'm going to use them to mine iron and other minerals in the asteroid belt, and then experiment with some basic superstructure ideas, which will probably not come into fruition for a good 15-20 years.

Trol, I can't accept another alliance , but a peace treaty is fine. I would like to propose another rule: New players joining the game should be able to take a nation on Mars in about 8 years, when the terraformation is fully complete and mars is basically a red version of earth, albeit with a little less gravity. My five arc cannons are now complete, so nobody will be able to attack Mars, even if it were viable at the moment. I have also decided to build two on Earth, one in my capital, and one in my part of America. Still building houses on Mars.

And can you travel through the area in an enclosed vehicle? It would grind away at the metal, so you would probably be safe for a while, but not forever. Not to mention that there are numerous Vortexs within that would just suck the vehicle in and most likely crush it. Plus, due to the iron granules within the sand, it sends compasses and othr electrical equipment crazy. Once you enter it, chances of getting out alive are slim. Other news: Not much, Colonists have begun to harvest the first fruit from trees on Mars... Thats about it.

Setup for gargs...
If you don't have a saradomin sword, whip+defender is fine.

You forgot me. The second and third Arc cannons on Mars afre finished, with the fourth and fifth now being created. Hoping to soon have enough buildings created to house all of the original colonists, so that the ship can be sent back to pick up more people. Some particularly stupid colonists wandered too close to the Gallery of the Void, and got torn apart. Just making sure that everyone understands that it is literally a dead zone, it shreds most any biomass that enters it.

Dragon Kiteshield with stats and suggestions
What else are dragon items used for? #-o They were supposed to be used for combat. But since equipment grows in power over time, and with most armours and weapons in the game being relatively easy to obtain, the older armours are left in the dust, and end up being used purely for outfits. Why does everyone believe they're only used for looks? I wear my dragon armor because I don't want to buy barrows. There are quite a few players who prefer dragon armor. Also, there's another similar thread talking about the need of a Dragon Kiteshield here. Vast, vast majority uses it only for looks.

Talks were made in private about that. Also, does the map really need to be that size? I thought it was fine the way it was :?

Of course I'll join, perhaps to expand that area to the right of your colony? Just stick it somewhere, most likely next to ours.

Okay, first off, the terraformation of Mars did not go totally perfectly. A large rift of wind has formed called the Gallery of the Void, which is basically a giant, ultrapowerful sandstorm with little to no gas inside. (It is roughly powerful enough to turn a human into a pile of bones in about a minute) So thats basically out of bounds, if you enjoy your skin being on your body and being able to breathe. The colony of Archeus is joint owned, and is expected to grow larger in future years. Paul, I would appreciate it if you put your colony on there as well. PS. I forgot to fix the key, so it still says white is land, wheras it should be pink

I guess I have nothing to lose by sending a few scientists.

Thats awsome Dusty, thanks. I'll start trying to come up with area names ASAP. Paul, the colonies are basically self sufficient now, but spare food is always appreciated.

[hide=Too much page stretch without hide tags] This, gentlemen and women, is the ARC focused laser cannon. It is to be used in the defense of Mars, should such defense ever be needed(Which likely wont be for a long time), and is capable of cutting through a ship that is in medium-high orbit. It cannot be used offensivly, unless I somehow move Mars itself about 7 miles away from the earth (And if I managed that, the ARC cannon would be the least of your worries  ) I repeat, it CANNOT truly be used offensivly.[/hide] My latest project. The second one is currently being built, with plans to build another 3-4 after that, meaning a total of 6 in the forseeable future.

Just a quick heads up to Germania, I'm going to be using that bone chemical to try to stop the decay of bones while on mars/in space. The next few buildings on mars have been created, and it is now looking like some kind of high tech village. Work on the other buildings is continuing normally. A small military force is currently on mars, as well, just to keep order. Also, we're probably going to need to draw up a map of mars as well. Buutt...seeing how it has changed during the terraformation, I think we can get away with making the landmass/seas up. I may try to do that myself, actually. If anyone else wants to give it a shot, just remember that the rough water:land ratio is 30:70.

The "Official" Level 95 Slayer Monster
[hide=Quote train] Not needed, and I am not a fan of making items rarer off task and more common on task. I think that for those of us with 99 Slayer that's very unfair. Also, there will be a high demand for these. Anyone now who owns an Abyssal Whip will eventually want to upgrade to a skeletal broadsword, and that is a LOT of people. It will eventually drop to about 5m though, but not for a long while. There will be a high demand, thus, they will be camped like mad(Even if so few players can kill them), causing a surge into the market which is basically unpreventable, causing this to become the new whip, and the whip to become an outdated item. Of course, this is what will happen to all armour in this game eventually, but by making less of an item come into circulation, I think that the whip will still be used and retain a decent price for a long time. The reason I want the whip to remain at a decent price, is because abyssal demons will be a horrible task without a rare drop. Basically, I don't want to create another useless weapon. I don't know what kind of system could be put into effect, but maybe only have it drop the item at the same rate when you get level 97 slayer or something? The whip, as it is, is inflated. It was at 1.5M for the longest time. If this were released, the whip would not drop below the 1.5m mark, I assure you. Think of the whip as a welfare item. Once the broadsword is released, most people will want it over the whip, but whether the average runescape player can cough up an extra 3.5M for it is another story. And even then, I say 5m because it will most likely stabalize there. Upon release it will be 10M, and will definitely rise. The "average" scaper won't be able to afford it. This will skyrocket. I plan on it to. And anyway, no offense, but Abyssal Demons at 85 Slayer shouldn't even be close profit wise to level 95 monsters. I firmly believe the whip won't drop past 1.5M. The broadsword isn't SO much better than the whip that it would cause people to completely abandon the whip. [/hide] I see your point, but I still worry that, after an extended time, say 5-6 months, there will be enough broadswords in circulation to cause the whip to become a "Noob" weapon. Then again, re-examining the stats of the broadsword and the whip, it does seem about as balanced as it could be... Eh, I suppose its fine the way it is.
