Stewie got 99 fm, end of party
Stewie3985 replied to Stewie3985's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
Party details in the first post! \ -
I already added you yesterday. :) Party details (Quick link to Party Topic) Rs Name/ Clan Chat: Stewie3985 Skill: Firemaking :P Level: 99 :o Date: 31 decembre  Time: 8:30 am GMT (my timezone: 9:30) (please check the time again later, but so far nobody has a problem with it) [hide=Other timezones (credits go to xiaogege)]North America: Pacific Time (California, Oregon, etc.) - Subtract 7 hours Rocky Mountains Time (Austin, Dakota, etc.) - Subtract 6 hours Appalachian Time (Tornado Alley, Georgia, etc) - Subtract 5 hours East Coast Time (New York, Virginia, etc.) - Subtract 4 hours Polynesian Time (Hawaii, etc.) - Subtract 10 hours Europe: Greenwich Time (U.K., Spain, etc.) - Subtract 0 hours Eastern Europe (France, Italy, etc.) - Add 1 hour Asia: (Southern) Asian Islands Time (Malaysia, etc.) - Add 8 hours (Northern) Asian Islands Time (Japan, etc.) - Add 9 hours Eastern Asia Time (China, Singapore, etc.) - Add 7 hours Australia: Western Australia (Albany, Perth, etc.) - Add 8 hours Central Australia (Darwin, Adelaide, etc.) - Add 9 hours Eastern Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, etc.) - Add 10 hours[/hide] World: 10 (F2P), after that world 99 (P2P). Location: Mudskipper point (credits for finding this place go to flodder450. Out of all ideas I searched which terrains are big, without trees and flat, this seems the best place.) Programme: First I get 99 firemaking in non-members world 10 on mudskipper point. (Mudskipper point is south of Port Sarim, south of the cave with Ice Giants and blurite rocks, close to the smithing master.) Nonmembers have to walk from Falador, Draynor Village or cabbage field, members can use the fairy ring which will take you straight to the place. (Code: AIQ.) I bring 3 tinderboxes and 24 maple logs, with which I make a giant "99" out of fires. Here's an example: (When I lighted my first log, I got a lag, so this one isn't perfect, just for the idea.) Then I have no ideas left for F2P, so I'm going to members world 99, where I make another "99" at the same place, this time out of coloured logs (which was my original idea of getting 99 fm). After that we can visit my level 75 house. I think the most convenient place to move it to would be Yanille, you can get there by watchtower teleport if you did the quest and have the required magic level, otherwise by teleporting to cw and walking east. and we can fight there in 2 combat rings, there are some guard dogs for the fun too and some games to play. When we're done, we taking my Camelot portal and walk to Ignatius the fm master to buy a cape. After that we could play a minigame together, I'm not sure yet which one. Cowmaster187/Legoman187 suggested going penguin hunting, which is fine to me. If you have a better suggestion, please tell me. After that would be the end where I log off and gonna take my fireworks to show my neigbourhood I'm the master of fire!

So at 10 I'll be outside... :  Your computer takes 30 min to load???! :o Wow, I would have thrown my computer out of the window if he would dare doing that to me... :P  yay, finally a new guest to my little party! : Edit: you're in TET? Wow, a professional party organizer! :) Maybe you have some ideas for my party? -

I hope I can come to your party tomorrow! -
I'm not planning to go to p2p, but we could fight in my house? Then you won't have the risk losing your items. Penguin hunting is a nice game, but I don't know where we should look for them. Runescape is a big place! ;) I never did penguin hunting in a group, so maybe this is a good idea. : Can I insert a timer on this forum? Even now I'm staying with burning 750 logs per day, so I don't have to hurry. : I know I could have the level days ago, but I made the goal four months ago to get firemaking on 31 decembre, so I'm not getting it earlier. 2250 logs left!

Is Firemaking useless as a general skill?
Stewie3985 replied to Lan735's topic in General Discussion
Oh, there is another topic about this question? I already answered it in "what do u reckon is teh most useless skill out there?" [hide=My opinion]I know firemaking is a useless skill, but I like training it, so to me it is a very important skill. I asked myself the same question sometimes about some other skills: allmost all skills with which you make items could be seen useless, because you could buy the items instead of making them and lose less money than when you make them out of materials which are more expensive. But what in runescape is "useful" then? I don't think training combat is useful, because I hate fighting monsters. Conclusion: to me a skill is useless when you hate training it. Fun is the only thing that should be your goal in Runescape. I have never trained Summoning, only with Tears of Guthix, and I never use a familiar besides the beast of burden ones. So to me that skill is useless, I never use the full potential of the skill. I also know that when I finally get 99 firemaking in a few days, I can do nothing more (useful) than a level 1 firemaker. But I think firemaking can become very useful in the future. There are so many awesome things jagex could make for this skill, so I hope there will be an update some day which will start everybody to train firemaking, not for the cape, but to be able to shoot flaming arrows, blocking a player´s path with fires in Stealing Creation, making your own fireworks display, giving cooking a lower burning rate, making fire spells more powerfull etc. There are so many possibilities, maybe they will become reality some day. Untill that day, go on saying firemaking is so useless and boring, you DON´T have to train it! Please remember that Runescape isn´t a chore![/hide] -
What does "hard skills" mean? It could mean you have to train longer for the same xp (Like runecrafting), or it's more expensive than other skills (Like construction), or you have to collect many items for training (Like summoning). To me a "hard skill" means a boring skill. Runecrafting isn't that hard if you really enjoy what you're doing, the same for construction or summoning. If I'm training a hard skill, it's dificult to hold on, things go through my mind like "Why am I doing this", "OMG this is so boring", "I want to stop and do something else". So here's my personal list from hard to easy: [hide=personal ranking]1. Farming 2. Ranged 3. Prayer 4. Slayer 5. Summoning 6. Herblore 7. Hunter 8. Strength 9. Hitpoints 10. Defence 11. Cooking 12. Fishing 13. Attack 14. Thieving 15. Fletching 16. Woodcutting 17. Magic 18. Runecrafting 19. Agility 20. Firemaking 21. Crafting 22. Mining 23. Smithing 24. Construction[/hide]

Stewie got 99 fm, end of party

The ideal time for me would be 9:00 am, my timezone is GMT + 1:00, so that would be 8:00 am GMT. But I understand that in other timezones this would be a bad time, so that's why I'm asking everybody who wants to come on which times they can come. So far nobody replied, so currently that time hasn't changed. -

I only need a dragon pickaxe very badly. Inferno Adze was just a distraction so that everybody thinks we don't need a dragon pickaxe anymore...
