NGL, in my opinion, ports gear is far better than nex gear because it simply allows me to ladt longer than nex gear; for nexing, i ONLY bother using 1 piece of nex gear, for god protection... call me inefficient, but i can outlast almost everyone on my team. (not that the team's i've been saddled with are the best nexers)yes but how long are your kills and can you anti crash? sub 5 minute kills, generally about 3:30-4 minutes... and why bother anticrashing? it's only good for 1 thing, feeding pride, as is a waste of everyone's time. I'de rather hop than endure a constant stream of UMAD UMAD UMAD UMAD UMAD UMAD; inane drivel and wasting everyone's time simply isn't worth it. I would much rather do 12 kills in a trip at 4:30/kill than 6 kills at 3 minutes a kill, because I'de have to more waste time on banking, should i use the nex armours. Call me inefficient, but as a tank i almost always outlast my attackers (mind that SHOULD be normal), I like to be able to do the same as an attacker.That however does not mean I will not berserk shadow and ice, to make kills as easy for the tank as possible.

One flaw I haven't seen adressed, and which is actually very troubling; the new hidden meaning of all items being held in your tomb. Before eoc was introduced, when i died; everything on me was put into my tomb(or it wasnt, i dont exactly remember. HOWEVER, when i died again, everything that was in my old tomb would still be there, i just wouldn't see a tomb counter for it. This meant that if i died once, say at nex, and dced running back, spawning a second tomb; everything in my first tomb would still be there. HOWEVER, at some point shortly before/after the introduction of eoc; this mechanic was removed. IF i died, and then died again, i was toast. everything in my first tomb had the customary two minutes, then it was nicely cooked french toast, that is to say, G O N E. Thanks to the untradeables/degradables under tomb mechanic, if i died twice, say due to disconnect, I would be able to go back and get my untradeables (cough) ports gear (cough)... however, I suspect this will not be the case anywhere, which is an extremely unforgiving and (well, in my opinion) unfair system, especially hard on anyone who uses untradeable gear (nex armour, once degraded, doesn't show on floor afaik). I'de like to see it go back to the way it was..... Just food for thought. I know some of you will go all (NEIN NEIN NEIN, DEAD IS DEAD, DIE AND YOU DESERVE IT, YOUR FAULT blah blah.... I can't help a disconnection, and it's unfair to punish me for what is beyond my control, and rather elitist to say only those who live in the city/can afford to buy good internet access have rights to their stuff.)

Attempted a duo, and was exceptionally impressed by how well the range only gear setup works; if only my luck was as good as the trip was smooth.... 3 hrs and got shafted by cs(it is broken at dks, got a 1.5m dhatchet split when hatchets were 4.5... anyone know why?)

Out of interest; why not bring switches for each king? it really doesnt mess you up that much if you just bring plate/legs.

People always remember times past as good or bad, despite the fact that they never are... Time just is, it is only we who attribute divine properties(such as enjoyment) to it. I suspect why most people "miss" 2006 is because it was when they found the game challenging, still a new world, with places to be explored; when they hadn't mastered the game, but still struggled with it. We miss the sense of accomplishment which came from such times.

Purely a matter of skill requirements and not quest length/depth, according to Mod Mark. And yet TWW was tagged Grand Master despite being a deep quest with next to no requirements. Afterall, all you strictly require is 140 combat and that boils down to 69 Defence and 69 in Att/Str/Ranged/Mage/Summ. Grand master in storyline..... if nothing else

Anyone got a way method of assigning keys like the old f1-5 keys? REALLY missing those, as i used them a lot... I know how to, but am having trouble finding a decent seteup for it.

having just got back from a week away, and just starting on rs, I have to say, i am f(bleep)ing LOVING it, and i've barely even started.... the potential here is bloody amazing... my initial irritation at the f1-5 keys not working anymore is gone, and while i'm sure to have trouble, ill get the hang of it.... any tips?

just out of interest, mightn't the mage version of berserk be better? no doubled damage intake... mind I havent tried vorago, and don't know the exact tactics.

What he meant to say is 'defensive abilities were designed to be used on normal monsters'. Plus, after EoC beta finished, that was exactly how they worked – you would use Resonance just before Nomad's (or any other boss) high damaging hit, the effect icon would appear, you would take damage and die, then respawn and then resonance would time out as if nothing had happened. Quite a while later they 'fixed' it by adding the ability to soak damage (just not heal the player). However, they always intended for Barricade/Immortality/Resonance AND other taken damage reducing abilities to be prohibited during boss encounters. which simply makes them useless where they matter most; so why bother putting them into the game at all? also, jagex seems to have poured coffee on their servers again, as worlds seem to be going up and down like tennis balls; my friend almost lost 600m dking due to world going down for 5 minutes... and then dardan got world-tank-- VORAGO TRUMP CARDED.

sigh, this was something i never liked about the old days (2009ish), only the obscenely rich could afford the best gear; divines/elysians. such gear should NOT be available to only the richest of people, riches over skills is really pathetic. and, if you can use the drops to upgrade stuff, i will bet you 10 billion bloody gp that you can't upgrade seasingers, only virtus............

Yes instead of going in and dying instantly, they'll go in, and die... instantly. As regards abilities to bypass the 50k, how possible is this going to be with the constraints of adrenaline? Especially as adrenaline could be force reset upon entering. maybe we can resonance it.... hermmmmmmmmm OR, maybe we need the t90 gear to survive the 50k damage? Problemos?
