Controlled is the xp-gain method and can be any of three damage types, slash/stab/crush, depending on the weapon. @NukeMarine: Why would you want to change attack/rename attack? It doesn't make any sense. Why would you want to make strenght affect to magic and ranged? It doesn't make any sense either. Point is we have one melee skill too many. We could just combine attack and strenght and call it melee. Just like ranged is ranged and magic is magic. Problem is that it's maybe too hard to do that now. I also agree that we should get old combat level formula back. It's ridiculous that everyone and their dog is level 200 with barely two 99's to show for it. but dog=spins (i do agree, the current system is absolutely shit, doesn't display how skilled people are at alllll.)

Personally, at nex, i find the contain attack to be extremely annoying, and it's almost a guaranteed combo in void, unless you have used anticipate/use freedom in under 1-2 attacks, because the contain att hits 3-4k, stuns you, and turns your prayer off, meaning the next few mage atts she does will destroy you. Shadow bombs, with lag, are very hard to avoid also :P However, nex tanking is just ridiculous; I could probably last 6 hrs tanking without banking, if i hd a good team :P What I want to see in the eoc: More abilities, specially for mage/range, improving/equalization of the combat line(triangle), fixing of dks/making them non-dead content... Fixing of bosses, to make them challenging, addition of some sorta system, like spec attacks; I do kinda miss them, as abilities arn't unique. Ill think of more later

I would disagree with you somewhat on the combo potential of bosses; nex can rip you in half incredibly quickly in void, especially if you are tanking... I would say bosses need a bit of improved dps(specially normal gwd), but frankly, they just need more Aoe attacks... KK the same.

Also; Which steel seawright should I be buying, and is it worth it to spend the time getting 9-12k jade for max totems ect?

My point was not to redirect the thread to those issues,(however, I'm not against overage, just underage, which, where I live, is the absolute majority of it), but put how bad is into perspective. I'm trying to get a good discussion going about why rs is regarded as so "bad". mind i'm probably up a tree, expecting a rational debate and discussion around runescape; sorry for trying :P

I've played rs for roughly all of my highschool life, and I personally have found it essential to my sanity... Due to early school trauma, I've never had many social skills, and I really HATE the social aspect of school;spending time penned up in a concentration camp with people I really don't like; Rs has given me a social aspect to my life; a hollow one, but to me, far better than none, But I have friends on here who I trust and like; and who let me be who i really am, and don't just see the mask I wear. I'm tired of hiding the fact I play rs, and I really dont see it as bad; compared to the drinking, dangerous drugs and sex which seem to be "normal" for my generation. I refuse to bring myself into range of such things, and I really don't think rs is bad compared to that. Despite having been addicted to rs for YEARS, I've still managed A's in about 90% of my classes. This game has been essential to me for my sanity, because school is so unbearable. Anyway, past me and the OP, I believe this thread needs a re-direct; no more focusing on the OP's flaws, but could we change it to discuss why rs is so unacceptable, and yet other games arnt; incredibly more violent games which are desensitizing today's youth to violence, and training an entire generation in war? How can this be acceptable, and yet Rs not? Why are we who play rs so alienated What are some of the pros and cons of playing rs? (not the grind so much, but the challenging aspects of the game) Personally, I've learned how to solve puzzles due to rs(or mental challenges, more than just puzzles), how to keep semi calm under stress (heavy bossing where 1 screw up means riptagon), and I've made some wonderful friends, who I do stay in contact with even after they've quit.

Meanwhile at nex... 26m split, we split with third.... I've discovered i'm good at tanking nex, was 1-2 fooding it all night, and using 3-4 duoing :) Also discovered how to block 3 ice prisons in a row... albeit stressfully.

Can it be true? 10/10 jagex, keep it up. Scamming is scamming, and while some people like Vann might be legit, gambling as a whole in rs is just damaging the community.

ON the abilities thing, i'm 99% sure if you spam click away while doing a combo attack you move away, a single click wont do it.... died on contains so many times due to this :P
