I think Jagex needs to take a seminar in design/development. You don;t just pick the first solution that comes to your head, you brainstorm as many as you can, prototype them and than score them. Pick the best one.

Bosses, specifically glacors and tds arewere amazing camping for effigies Yes, they had a decent drop rate. But they were not as consistent as crawlers or the other effigy farming methods. The effigy farming methods are more consistent due to the sheer number of kills in 'x' amount of time.

If Jagex wanted to stop effigy farmers they could have and should have taken the logical path. All Jagex had to do is this: Make effigies only dropped by: -Bosses -Slayer monsters on while on task Simple. Take the path of least resistance Jagex, not the idiotic one you just took.

Like others have mentioned, most of my effigies were in my bank until I had the level to open them myself. It's stupid to give away all that xp to other players for free by using assist. Thanks a lot Jagex, you sure know how to fix things properly.

GPU barely matters, I can max RS on my Intel HD 3000. What matters is single core speed; Runescape only runs on a single core which means 6 cores in your case won't help at all, you want the fastest possible cores which are Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge. An i3 2100 paired with a 5770 would max Runescape fine, and if anyone reading this is buying I suggest a Z68 chipset to allow upgrading to a 2500k or Ivy Bridge in future. My computer's managed to split it over multiple cores, since I watch it do it. Every once in a while, you can tell its all on one core becuase that one will be near max and the others will all be near idle, but most of the time they balance out, or at least most of them do, and if you look at the cpu usage for Java, its using a lot more resources than any one core is reporting at a given time. How? Jagex has multi-core support disabled.

May I ask how? I'm STILL recovering from losing my bank 6 months ago. Well its kind of a viscous cycle...when i say ive been cleaned 24 times i really do mean 24 times (gambling addictions ftw) so I've rebuilt many many times basically this is how it goes: 1. Get cleaned 2. Vow to never stake ever again! (very important) 3. welfare tds and get claws 4. kill glacors til i get boots 5. bandos ffa or more tds til i have around 50m 6. realize that it is far too hard to rebuild using steps 3, 4, and 5 7. give up the vow to never stake again :lol: 8. go back staking and make your bank back 9. if you failed at step #8, Go back to step #1 10. if you succeed at step #8, you will eventually feel the need to make money for rich people stuff, have a bad day of staking, then get cleaned anyways Have fun :thumbsup: Put this in the archive of wisdom please. Why are so many people mad over this? It does nothing, gives no bonuses, so honestly it's just for looks. There's thousands of other wieldable things you can wear if you would like to look fashionable in an online game. Also, for those of you whining about how it's unfair because your poor and can't go to Runefest, think of the scythe as part of the experience, stop being so salty towards Jagex, it's there game and they have the authority to make something special for the loyal enough players who are willing to go to such a venue.
