I'm getting confused here. From my understanding, and view, people usually use sex to define a person's birth gender. Usually, from my position in the world, because it is important from a medical perspective because currently there are things about sex which cannot be changed to meet gender. From that post I am guessing you are saying that a persons outward appearance is their sex while their gender is whatever they identify as? I'm lost on what your definition of sex is from that paragraph. Trans people intend to get a sex change. So a mtf would want to take hormones or get surgeries. This is a seperate thing entirely from the guy who wants to paint his nails and wear dresses and be called she. Which by and large just doesn't happen, at a certain point men like this fantasize about having breasts or a vagina, which seperates it from a gender issue to a sex reassignment issue even if they have no goal to go through with it. Now I get where your going, and understand it completely and agree.

From that post I am guessing you are saying that a persons outward appearance is their sex while their gender is whatever they identify as? I'm lost on what your definition of sex is from that paragraph. I'm agreeing on all your points, even down to gender roles to a certain extent. However, I'm not sure I agree with your definition of gender, and I don't have to I'm just looking to sound out your viewpoint. From your viewpoint, things like toxic masculinity and nail painting are a gender defining thing? Personally, I don't really see it that way, although it might be me confusing the definitions of sec and gender as laid out earlier. For me, painted nails or a feminine personality do not detract from of change a persons gender. Those are things, which to me, would make me think of their sexuality and possibly define them as gay or homosexual with no other information present but it wouldn't make me think of their gender as being not male. Also, I'm sure this will just start a flame war but the wage gap doesn't truly exist if all factors are taken the same. Or if there is one it is drastically reduced to no more than a few percentage. Most of what creates wage gap is benefits, or lack thereof, which unfortunately put women at a disadvantage. When all things are similar in a situation (I.E. Same level of education, same years worked, no time taken for maternity leave, etc...) there is no real gap to be talked about. I do believe that some things, such as maternity leave, shouldn't have any effect on wage but unfortunately thats not the case in some places.

Its a middle ground. Overall I don't care, and the post is slightly sarcastic. At the same time, from my point of view from outside of the LGBT community it seems like there are definitely bigger fish to fry than something like this, especially when the immediate response from some members of the LGBT/transcommunity is to complain it isn't enough instead of embracing it as a first of its kind (to my knowledge) move to be more inclusive/accepting.

A quick Google says that it all depends on what kind if antidepressant your friend was prescribed. If the antidepressant was a benzodiazepine, it's bad because both the opioid and the benzo work by depressing the CNS and have greater risk of OD if taken together. Now, if it's an SSRI that your friend is prescribed, its still sketchy, but the right combination shouldn't have any negative effects. However, the wrong combination can slow the bodies removal of some opioids leading to increase risk of overdose. A different wrong combination increases serotonin levels which can cause/lead to serotonin toxicity. TL;DR: Its safe so long as the doctor was careful with his selections.

Probably not unless you go for some expensive sports rental. Most americans don't drive manual so car rentals don't usually have then. That being said most new cars that I've seen have a push button/slap stick manual setting, not a true manual though.

You bastard! I am only on S01E01. I can't wait to see what my favourite characters Robb Stark and Khal Drogo are doing in season 7!What do you mean Robb? Ned is going to make such a good hand of the king, I hope he brings Jaime to justice for what happened to Bran!

The whole Christian Bale Batman thing was really well done. Definitely think its the best one off Batman series, although I will disclaimer that I've seen the others but its been a while/details are fuzzy whime I just rewatched these ones.

Can also blow up a battery if you do it wrong. Wouldn't be surprised if Noxx didn't have a set of jumper cables though, not an overly common thing that people carry around/have surprisingly. I've never loved jumping cars. My brother did it wrong many years back and made a nice light show out of it. I think he clamped the terminals in the wrong order. He was fine (as was the car), but it's still stuck with me. Still, it's a good thing to have. If you ever need a jump, not everyone carries them, so it can be the difference between getting a quick hand and calling a tow truck. The trick to not exploding is to connect the positive (red) terminals first to reduce the chance of sparks, and making the last connection to the chassis (unpainted metal) of the jumping vehicle rather than the battery to avoid the possibility of igniting any hydrogen gas the battery might be giving off. The clamp on the chassis is removed first for the same reason. Oh yeah, I have a set in my car, but overall I'd think they are a more uncommon thing to be carried nowadays. The other reason to clamp the final negative(black) to the chassis is to avoid completing the circuit. If you try to charge up the other battery with both clamps/connections the power will just flow through instead of charging up the battery of the dead car.

Not a giant computer guy, but a quick google brought me to here where it has this listed: So based on that your motherboard, which holds the RAM, has 4 slots for RAM. However, it can only physically use a max of 16GB of RAM at once. So buying anything more than another 8GB of RAM is a waste of money. So far as what type of RAM and whether your sticks should match I have no idea.
-
C'mon, everyone knows you just download more ram. Google should provide you with the correct location to do it. Otherwise, rant for the day is when you are trying to do something and her everything you need some on your end, but then are stuck waiting for another person/entity to do their stuff with no clear indication of what's going on.

Congrats Maddy! Must make you feel much better finally knowing the results. That's awesome man, can't even imagine that. Let alone how annoyed the interviewee must have been to suddenly have all these people singing over him.

So over the past few weeks I've been doing some of that deep thinking that people are always on about, from this I think I've finally figured out that I actually want to become a Doctor. Only issue is I've dug myself into a bit of a bind so that might end up being placed on hold for a bit depending on how the next ~2-3 weeks go in regards to a lot of things. At the same time its kind of nice to now have this kind of overarching end goal in sight and know where I want to end up regardless of what happens.

Secured credit cards are just you providing the bank with money so they aren't completely screwed if you don't pay your card and run off. Usually a small portion or half the balance, although I don't know for sure. Secured vs unsecured probably has more to do with income than personal responsibility, as higher income is "better able" to pay off their card every month.

Got wifi hooked up at my new place, finally, after 3ish hours of running around between getting lost and having to go out and pick up extra things. I have no idea why Rogers gives out wifi modems that come with Ethernet cables, but not a coax cable when you actually need the coax cable to use the modem in the first place.

Living in a new place, not knowing anyone, and being almost 1800km from your nearest close relative is kind of shitty. I mean it's literally been two days, and I know I should be meeting people tomorrow, but the homesickness is real right now. Doesn't help that my father is going for a major surgery next week right after I moved.

That's all? Isn't that 5 hours of driving (or less?) Wonder what they expect you to do the other err, 19... I have no idea, the only thing I've found is to get on the road relatively late (10ish) and then watch some movies to kill time after I stop.
-
So, after three days on the road I've come to a conclusion. Long drives suck, but they suck even more when they're unnecessarily dragged out. Have to more ~2000km for a job I took, and while I'm getting reimbursed (and technically paid because I'm on salary) for my drive, its pretty infuriating to only be allowed to drive 500km/day. Especially today, day 3/4 in the trip when I had to stop at approximately 2 this afternoon 3hrs from where I'm headed.

That's insanity! My car drivers test was no where near that bad. Somethings like speeding and failing to stop were automatic fails but there was no pretrip or anything and it was bonus points that I put my seatbelt on before starting. Then I had 40 demerits for various minor infractions. Then for the motorcycle test I actually had something very similar, although I did a weekend motorcycle safety course for my license, where the final test was a balance portion going slow through turns where you could only put your foot down once without failing, a high speed curve like you said (which the instructor was surprised to see I rocked because people are usually too nervous on it), and I think there was figure 8s and stopping as well but that was nearly 2 years ago. The craziest thing for you to think of probably is that when I finished that test I could have gone out and jumped on something like a hayabusa the next day. Also, there was no road test portion just a weekend of driving on a closed off street/compound and the test before we were free to ride on the streets.
