It can suck by times doing stuff like training with less than ideal kit or missing out on training due to lack of funding. However I'd say overall that we do well with what we have and receive great training. Lots of opportunity for work when trained and pay is relatively good although nobody is really here expecting great pay. As for beauracracy at a ground level it seems ridiculous some of the issues we have, such as not even being able to get decent boots, but I'm sure that somewhere all the issues in that regard just seem bad from the bottom.

How on earth were you given enough anesthesia to make you woozy? Was it a very big mole? was it just cut out with a scalpel? Or was there some osrt of minor operation don? When i had a mole removed on my back i was given nothing but a small injection and it was cut out. Always seems to me like Americans are given enough anesthetics to put a fully grown elephant to sleep for the smallest of procedures. Anesthetics are a quick way to up that surgery bill too.

I think the argument here is that women retire earlier meaning that they may miss out on promotions or pay increases that a person who doesn't retire earlier might be entitled to. Thus comparatively lowering the pay for women of the same category vs men in that category.

Sitting in the dark, waiting for some ammo, so that I can go and screw around with some people who decided they want to play army. Pretty good time except for the fact I haven't showered since Wednesday, due to stupid stuff I don't get paid until the 29th, and I prefer to be sleeping at 12:30.

I find it odd a little bit as a North American that doesn't really follow sports to be reading that last part. If I didn't know that the world cup or European cup whatever it is was on I would be thinking that Iceland for invaded or nuked by France or something and not just eliminated in a tournament. Let alone how calm Saq was in the post while saying it.

One good thing about lawsuit culture in the US is no school would dare force you to do that. I personally refuse to ever buy an apple product so I'd probably raise some hell. Ehh, its pretty standard practice for my program at all the schools I've looked at so I don't think raising a stink would help my case much. In addition my father uses all apple devices and had an iPad air he purchased when his other iPad was stolen that he never sold after he got the original back and so I didn't even have to pay for it.

The whole site is like that; strange usage of emphasis to highlight buzzwords. E.g., CompTracker being 'greener'. I doubt that. Any digital device produces more pollution than all the paper you'd use in a decade. They are built from certain materials that are toxic to the environment (during collection/processing/manufacturing/etc), are of ethically dubious origins (like most products we use, sadly), and/or hard to recycle. Paper is easy to recycle and comes from a practically renewable source. The most ironic part of that is the program currently only works on iPad forcing people who would never have one otherwise to purchase one. Along with the fact that it only works with the newest iOS which may be a smaller issue than I think, but forces people to buy newer if it runs out.

For college would you guys recommend a laptop or desktop PC in your experience? I'll probably be travelling a decent amount between school and home for holidays and such as I'm only going ~3hr drive away which is why I'm thinking the laptop but at the same time the price point has me thinking desktop as I can get much more power for a lot less.

Located South but on different air currents and such. England especially due to the water and air currents is much warmer than Canada. Most places in Canada have no trouble reaching below -20 in the average winter and have snowfalls of over a foot. For whatever reason though we tend to the other extreme and get quite warm in the Summer time reaching highs of 30+.

This is apparently because of how much EU membership streamlines the process of living/traveling abroad, but I don't know the exact details. A lot of the people I've heard speak on the matter are worried about losing that if they voted to leave, especially the ones that had plans to study abroad. There might also have been something about how it'd greatly impact British people living abroad as well? Not entirely sureBasically, from how my Greek tour guide worded it earlier this year, if you are a citizen of the EU you can travel between any other EU nation without a visa (and possibly without a passport) almost as if you were just crossing a state/provincial boundary.

In the end you need to do what's best for you. You don't have to live with your friend 24/7 and need to look out for you whom you do live with 24/7. They should hopefully be able to find their own help it solution but in the end you need to ensure you are in a good mental state first.
