Beg to differ. Nex really needed Overloads (smoke phase) and Yaks, which were not something you'd find on average high levels at the time. Of course you could mass it, but it'd be extremely inefficient if you were an average high level then, just as Super Barrows is inefficient for average high levels now. I guess the main difference is that Super Barrows comes with hard restrictions so that you can't mass it; you could get away with massing Nex and KK, so average high levels would still be able to get kills (not so much for Vorago which had anti-massing mechanics). Of course, bossing has always been about highly wealthy players having significant advantages, such as the rich being able to afford Pernix for early Nex, as well as Drygore for the Kalphite King (back when the accuracy difference completely decimated all its forms).

You're not killing him fast enough sadly :( If you exceed a certain amount of time the demon times out and despawns. Try using magic for faster kills? You'd hit a lot more often even with Fire Strike.

Karil's bomb should definitely look more dangerous visually, yes.

Spirit shields are better because the only place you really need a shield is vorago bomb tanking, and that attack never misses, which makes any armour advantage the t90 shields have completely useless compared to the soak effect.

The issue is that they're also going to affect the spirit shields they make. There's no way to steathily introduce them into the market without having some kind of effect on it because the CS wall is that big for sigils.

I think there are some ledges in each side of the room (small alcoves you can tuck into) that allow you to avoid Karil's/Ahrim's spinning attacks no matter where they spawn. If you're about to exit the shadow realm you can just aim for one of these spots so that you'll exit into relative safety. Co-ordinate with your teammates so that they never bring the melee brothers to these areas. There's definitely a lot of finer stuff to learn, as well as difficulty in co-ordinating especially if you keep changing teams. Just joined a new one today and it works very differently compared to yesterday.

Karil's bomb has actually got quite a bit of warning time, if he appears on your side for no reason, you know that you immediately have to get the hell out of there. Was quite easy to predict him once that got figured out. Quite a pain when you're taking on the melee brothers and they start doing their beyblade crap though, but usually you can get out of there without disaster. Biggest annoyance I've had today, though, was when Torag pulled his hammertime act, just as Karil zipped through a portal next to me -.-

2nd try, managed to kill everything on the right side. Unfortunately someone died on the left so we didn't win that one. Not as terrible as first anticipated, but then again I was only taking down Karil. Only had to tank one of his bombs.

Oh yeah, I meant mh ascb with an offhand t80- :P Haven't seen people mention shields at all in RSOF team threads. Jeremy tells me that RSOF teams kick if you only have mh ascb though.
