I'll try: In General Relativity (GR), acceleration and the effect of gravity are identical concepts. In fact in GR, the force of gravity is a "myth", and its all the geometry of spacetime that causes acceleration that we feel as gravity. So back to black holes, black holes are areas of extreme gravity, and by the same principle extreme acceleration areas. The geometry of such a region is very distorted. Now near the black hole the space part of spacetime stretches (think of water down a plug-hole or a heavy object on a rubber sheet), but the time part of the spacetime contracts. (that's just the way spacetimes work) You travel (litreally) through a region where time is compressed (compared to the outside world) and so time elapses much more slowly in this region, and when you leave it, time stretches back to normal (and so passes at the familiar rate), and you have jumped into the future. This also means that your feet are younger than your head, time passes more slowly for your feet (compared to your head). k tyvm; as a one liner as gravity increases time slows down correct? If I ever go back in time I am commiting myself to talking to myself about how im going to talk to my self.

Its a really good book, only thing is doing it for school hurts it a little bit. For something with great depth such as Hamlet analysis at school works since you get a greater understanding. For something more straightforward like To Kill a Mockingbird having to do work is kind of a drag, after all while the theme is extremely relevant its not that hard to understand.

Yes most people see the North as the good side due to their lack of creedism/racism but in all reality, the South had every right. The South fought for honor, and the protection of their guarenteed rights for which were won through suscesion(sp?) from Britain. The North wanted unity more than anything else, the anti-racism was just a pleasant side effect. I suggest reading the book "The Killer Angels". (Good war book that explains very deeply the forgotten sides of the Civil War) I would lightly disagree; not that the states rights reason for the war is innacurate(right of south is subjective I side with maintaining union personally), but more importantly the fact that slavery was causing every other issue to come up. The movement towards a more radically antislavery north and a south losing political power built up the conflict. IMO, the south was largely acting like a spoiled child; when they began to lose political power they would threaten seccession and try nullification to get their way(other then the civil war), specifically the nullification of the "Tariff of Abominations". edit--thats not to say the north was the "good" side; but as it became more of a slavery war the north's ideology became "better"

Your example doesn't work. A strong acid indeed has more acid-like qualities and is closer to the true potential of what an acid can do than a weaker-acid. under bronsted lowry(standard model of acid base for basic chem) what makes an acid an acid is the ability to donate protons(H+ ions) to a solution strong acids dissociate completely from hx(where is the anion) to h+ and x- ions weak acids only partially dissociate into h+ and x- ions edit-- I suppose he wouldnt; at least a logically minded god would seem to not. I always felt the word think suits fits the "strength" of atheism or theism statements; it is just semantic but I think thinks fits the idea behind weak atheism better. weak religious would be more like I think there is a god; strong religious would be there is a god a strong acid doesnt have more acid like qualities, it simply dissociates to a greater degree; I dont understand what you mean by more potential, creating a more acidic solution doesnt make something more of an acid.

well time travel forward has been proven, at least to the extent of moving at high speeds slowing down time. If we are going to be very specific; theres no way of being sure that you can travel 0 time units forward while the universe moves forward x time units at this time. As clarification by x time units I mean everything moving forward under the known laws of relativity.

You could put small 10cm wide holes in the wall, and poke spears through them to shift zombies. another thing we could do, is build our wall right against a strong river. this way, regardless of just how many there are, its all going to be swept away (shut up, not the quest) into the ocean unless we are building a wall clear around an island we would still at least one wall that zombies could attack hmm, maybe we could build on a penninsula overlooking a cliff; if the sides of the one approach were steep enough the pile of zombie bodies would be easy to tip over the cliff and we would only have to build one wall.

nuclear power plants take time to build! they are a long-term investment in better energy security, you can't just build them overnight once all the other sources of energy start to run out. Did that comment have any basis in reality, or are you just saying that because in your computer games it takes 30 turns to build a nuclear power plant? Uranium enrichment is a long process. Construction of a power plant most certainly is not. I think he is referencing the overall incorporation of them; if you dont start building till you run out of oil you could be having a serious crisis while your trying to replace your entire energy system.
