The Marquis

We woke up quite early next morning, Tyler was already up and giving finishing touches to his spell. He told us about seeing a glimpse of Archimage and also showed us a new map, a political one it was. "Hey can you teach me a bit of this German?" I asked from Hawkxs. He was willing to tutor me for a while until it was around 9 in the morning. The marmaid shouted that breakfast was ready, it wasn't much of a meal but beats being hungry half the time. Me and Hawkxs thought we should find Archimage and if he knows anything about the citizens of this city, Ty was against it and suggested leaving him alone. I put that thoughaside for a while and thought of going looking for better weapons for us as the ones found in te fort were a bit old and partly rusty, Hawkxs wondered if there were any "guns" and Ty, well iI guess he had a couple of neat tricks in his spellbook. OOC: I don't have any good ideas to continue the story atm. And sorry for being a bit absent, high school isn't easy y'know. Oh and btw our class started learning German this year so I also know a couple of basic dialogues.

"Well, it sounded right, it is written on an obelisk in the middle of our town, noone knows what it means, but strangely this sounds just right to describe this land. I guess it's something related to the god Derfall, the god we worship, half-brother of a god called Bandos," I explained. "What are we going to do next then, lads?"

"Wow, this must be something extraordinary, are you from the future?! Oh an once I finish my story, why don't you, Hawkxs tell us how you got here. But first.. I am from Eastern Gielinor, we don't call it Run's Cape." "Runescape" Tyler quickly said. "Sorry. We have our own gods, but we don't worship them very often or anything, mostly we are just living our peaceful life. Most of us are hard-working citizens and obey the laws. I myself am a hunter working for the City of Free Sturmfall. I don't think we have holo-thingies, but but we do use magic, haven't seen a wizard in action though. We don't trade much but our high rulers are looking into finding more civilizations to the west, I guess I just found one of their representers." I smiled at Tyler. "I got to this place by finding a strange shining portal in the woods nearby my house, I stepped into it, partly of curiosity, partly because the portal kind of pulled me. Anyways here I am! I actually have no idea what am I doing here, but time will tell. Nothing happens without a reason!" I concluded my story and leaned back. "Hey, we should name this strange place. How about something simple? Like Rusco or along the lines of that?"

"Yeah, you should better patch it up before we... hey, what are we going to do next? We found out the fort was sabotaged, all of the people disappeared, probably because of this.. stone," My voice was going louder. "you seem to have broken your leg for a strange reason, Archimage left us for god knows what reason! I have no idea why we are here, we can't seem to get any closer to resolving that question either. Now, what the hell are we going to do?!" I felt so good after letting that out of me, I was calm again and just sat down on the ground at sighed. ... Is this a dream?

Heh, nothing like that Archi, I just have been so busy and didn't have the chance to update, sorry about that. I'll try to post something today, but maybe I need to postpone that aswell. :(

I can't use magic, my character just doesn't have the knowledge or skills.

We split up on the main street. I found a good light sword for me to use, despite seeing battlemarks around the area the sword looked clean and shined in the moonlight. I reached for a torch on the wall. "Hey guys, you should take one of these" I said and tossed more torches to my partners. After a good hour searching around the area *snap* "What's that?" I thought to myself. "It looks like a banner!" Indeed it was when I rose the banner with a post that I had broken. It read: Followers of the King to arms, they traitors have to be dealt with There was a snake drawn at each side of the sentence. I took the posts off the banner and rolled it together into a bundle, then I rushed back to the main street to find others already waiting for me. "I didn't find much only this" I unrolled the old banner in front of them. "So what do you make of it, lads?" OOC: as there was a sign indicating fort being sabotaged, I thought there could be an uprising, I hope it's okay

OOC: ehm... Wizz didn't come, I did (Mr K) We all headed north, everyone was so quiet on the road so I thought I'd ask them about how they got here. Tyler said something about a fight with a mage, Hawks described a wizard aswell, we get mages at our villages sometimes, but haven't seen one in action though. They all seemed not to have an idea about this place. Archimage didn't want to say anything, he didn't seem very socializing. "So what do you guys think what awaits us at the fort", said I "No idea, the sign did say something about sabotaging though, so we better be prepared!" Tyler said, and looked at his bow. It was quite a craftsmanship. "I hope there are some weapons around there, all I have is this makeshift knife" "Ain't better for me either" said Hawks while showing his spear. Hawks also enlightened us about this person he met up back near the river, he was called Wizz and he could do some magicks, but something happened to him don't know exactly, Hawks did want to talk about it, but he left him there. We should be near the Fort by nightfall. OOC: kind of a filler post to get everyone aquainted with our status and story. Also while we are together, don't worry about the map I can make them if noone wants to do it.

Well, this what happened (OOC: wont be much as it has been described before) I must've fallen asleep behind that counter, but when I woke a man was standing near me, offering me food, I accepted it gratefully. Some noises came from the outside, but I was too busy eating. Now there are 4 of us in the Inn, Archimage - he seems to have the most ide of where we are, then Tyler - he is a friendly chap who seems to be skilled in the art of fighting, then Hawks - I don't know much about him, but he seems okay, and then me. We all went to bed to get some sleep and then in the morning we sat down around a table and discussed what to do next. We all had the same maps, also Archimage seemed to aquire another map which showed locations, though it seemed a bit inaccurate. Tyler wanted to go to the Fort and Archi to Silvero - a town to the south. "We should split into groups of 2" said Tyler. "I agree, I'll come with you to the fort (Locksmeade as I found out), did you see the strange sign on the road about the for being sabotaged or something. We should investigate." I said. Hawks seemed facing a dilemma. "Well, no matter where you go we should make ourselves some backpacks for travelling and fill them with food. Also guys what weapons do you have?" And I put my heavy knife-like sharp rock on the table (it had rope tied around one end of it like a grip) OOC: I think when we split up, the forum threads should unite accordingly

Ahaa the sign I found was a haiku, very clever. I decide to go north and after a bit of walking a discover the road again. The road takes me a mile north until it splits. One way goes north and the other to the west. The sign at the road says: North to bridge West to Inn, Fort Also the sign seems to be hacked by some weapons. I head west, the road makes a strange turn back south. There are cliffs just right of me and a field to the left. After some time a find another sign saying Fort sabotagd go in The sign seems to point that Fort is on top of the cliff and the Inn to the south. I head for that. It's nearly night when I make it to the in. The lights are all on which seems very odd. I sneak to the back of the Inn and hear some voices coming from one of the second floor windows. I can't make sense of what they are saying, but both voices are male and also quite calm. I then decide to go in. It looks like people have just disappeared at one point. All of the things are just lying about just the people are gone. I hear one of the doors creak and then steps of someone coming down the stairs. I quickly run behind the counter and start listening closely... OOC: So I made it to the Inn, I think one of you (Tyler, Archi) are coming to get food. It's up to you to decide if you see/hear me or not. (A good idea is for you to hear my stomach, since I haven't ate all day :))

Although it's night, I move more to the northwest along the riverside. I am starving and I can't catch any fish due to the darkness. At dawn I make it to a small forested area and the path seems to end. Strange, I thought I would encounter some kind of civilization along the road, but nothing... Oh hold on there is a sign in the bush... It says: Do not go ahead if you do value your life Beware of the risk I wonder what is there...

Uh, I must've been out for ages, it's already night. Since I'm too tired to find anything to eat or to make shelter, I just take a look at my map. It has renewed itself! This is what I see.

I AM BACK!!! The long summer of work and activities is over and now I can finally return to Runescape! But unfortunately I'm F2P and I can't see many opportunities to subscribe, but I'll find a way. For now I am continuing my way to Firemaking 92, only 15k of logs to go!! Also, Medead0, I'm glad you didn't turn down this promise, I respect a man of word. OFf TO FIRE SOME LOGS!

It looks like a wris[bleep]ch to me, so maybe something related to time. But on the other hand, if it was a day/night feature it would rather be near the compass, not worth a new tab. As for the idea of timers, it's a great idea, but highly unlikely. I use the notes tab for this, I note down what time can I go to ToG (day/time) and other stuff (random events costumes done :D ) I'll look forward to that update (if it comes :D )

Interesting read really. I think I'm safe, my password is a 12 character numerical pattern with letters thrown in.

I've read through page 1 and 5, so if someone has said what I'll say, note that I agree (this sentence doesn't make sense does it). I think male players playing as female characters is their thing, it might make them feel better, but seriously I don't care. But harrassing female players, because they think they aren't female is just not right. Why base an opinion on someone only by asking their gender and then just saying "I don't believe you!" What's the point of asking then!? Seriously people should care less of other players' gender and just socialize with them without knowing this. Ofcourse English requires making a difference in gender by having either "he" or "she" (in my mother language this doesn't occur). So asking this from another player to address them correctly sounds appropriate, but really shouldn't be needed. For example I have 2 friends in RS that have quite girly names, but still I haven't asked them, because it doesn't really matter, does it? So please, stop worrying about other people's genders and treat them all equally. I hope my English skills are good enough, that you can understand what I mean :D

Update - 21.06 Gah my head... my graduation party just ended. Anyways, my members' status has expired and I can't renew it, my parents won't allow. Also it's summer and there's a lot of things on my mind now - my summer job, going out with friends, etc. So I wont have time for 'scaping anymore. That means I'm quitting for the summer :( Mods, please do not close this thread, I will probably continue it in autumn. Sorry
