  1. Haha cows until 99, yeah right. Stick with those cows, and when you get a little bit higher in the 30s, try ranging the Barbarians inside that big building. There are lots of tables to use as safespots!
  2. It's a her. Yeah I guess just range her. Try it! You won't have much to lose anyways.
  3. If you've done Shilo Village, fly fish there, as it's extremely fast. If you've done Swan Song, go with monks, that's fast too. If you've got 68 fishing, Fishing Guild is extremely well. :) Otherwise, Catherby is so close to the bank. Either way, stick with either lobs, fly fishes or monkfish. :D
  4. Oooh I thought it was only resistant to magic, you're right. Well if I've got any other advice, I'd say get your defense up and you'll be fine. Get to somewhere around 40-45!
  5. Definitely wear the black d'hide stuff and bring the rune cbow. You're more than just set for ranging him! If you die, I'd be extremely shocked/disappointed. But I know you won't. Remember the shield JUST in case and be careful!
  6. Dude definitely range him if you can, you'll do fine with those stats! A higher prayer level would be nice though. Just make sure to have a nice safe spot, bring lobs/swordfish and you'll be fine. DON'T forget that anti-dragon shield!
  7. I agree with my man above me here. Although you'd probably have more fun training skills. Since you're f2p, you can start the way I did and get mining/fishing/woodcutting up. Those are skills that can get you some decent money. Then bank everything you get so can train smithing/cooking/firemaking. See how they all work nicely together? :) If you're more of a fighter guy, then go ahead and train combat!
  8. Definitely powermine iron. I'm f2p and I powermined iron in that little area southeast of Varrock. It was awfully quick and I had nobody with me so I went around getting those 4 rocks like crazy and managed to get from 65-71 mining there in no-time. :)
  9. Um agreed. If you're going for some level ups and training, definitely do NOT buy a Godsword. A dragon scimitar is a wonderful weapon to use and extremely cost-effective. Don't buy a Godsword unless you're going to fight high level monsters which I wouldn't recommend for training purposes.
  10. Dude 100mil overall exp is still a wonderful acheivement! Great job! 10/10 :)
  11. Exactly, Off-Topic is avaible for rants dealing with RL. I don't get why people stick those type under the Runescape rants, because it has absolutely nothing to do with the game. Perhaps people should read the rules again and make sure they know what they're doing before they hit Submit.
  12. Stick with that MSB, that thing is so useful. I wish f2p had that... :( But seriously, you'll get quick exp that way. I guess yeah use a cbow if you're going against high level creatures.
  13. Definitely bring a rune full helm, green d'hide chaps body, best gloves you can find, power ammy, maple short and preferably iron arrows. For food? Bring some lobs but trout/salmon work well also. A fire staff perhaps if you want to alch the items you get? I don't usually bring one though. Oh, also if you have the Explorer's Ring with all 3 levels done, you can easily tele to the patch and bank in Draynor once you're full.
  14. First of all he said he accidentally clicked on the kebab, the bread roll is easily spotted but when you're trying to fight things and that pesky woman shows up, she's obviously up to no good. I hate her sometimes too but she's pretty cute for a pixelated woman! (No I'm not into that sort of stuff, I swear.) Just try your best to run to a safespot then talk to her as she'll follow you everywhere you go. (EVEN TO BED!! )
  15. I totally agree about the animation thing, the new one is HORRIBLE. I personally loved it when it was just a bubble over your head with the pickaxe in it, RSC style. :) I still do mine, only because I want a decent level in it and I want 70 smithing, but other than that, it IS slow. It's almost as slow on f2p for me as Runecrafting is! :o
  16. DUDE I'm in the SAME exact predicament as you are! I'm about to get 64 though. I'd highly recommend safespotting Ice Giants, as these guys aren't too crowded, more HP than Mossies and drop better stuff too. The steel stuff and black kites you can just high alch because they also drop natures, laws and cosmics! Try it out, there's a guide to ranging them in these forums somewhere...
  17. I really like the first article, because it makes sense to me. I can relate, having first started playing in 2001 when I was 12. A lot of people really didn't flame or call each other out like today, even when the rules were barely enforced! Although nowadays, I prefer to keep public chat on Hide not off because I just might run into a potential future friend. But the spammers are still out in full force (Look at FoG! :P) and there will always be immature kids because this game is easily accessible and free, so still watch out for them but don't give them the attention they want. Have fun skilling, fighting and enjoy playing the game with your friends. :)
  18. Seriously, if that Runecrafting Guild is F2P, I'd go crazy in a GOOD way. We desperately need some way to train that skill more efficiently! Hopefully it'll be something abyss-like in there. Oh man, the possibilities.... *goes off to daydream*
  19. For f2p, definitely a scimitar, whichever you can wield. If you're p2p, go with the whip. Yeah it may be a bit costly, but a wiiise investment should you choose to attain one. It hits extremely fast and does decent damage, especially on medium-level monsters that you'll train on. If you CAN, also get a dragon scimitar, as that goes pretty fast too but you need Monkey Madness to wield that.
  20. Aww, well seems as though your stats and equipment were fine then? :P Just keep trying! No shame in failing on an attempt at a fire cape, as that sucker is harddd.
  21. I'm very sorry diefo, he is correct. Here is what the Runescape site manual says about it: The Mining level required ONLY applies when you wish to use the pickaxe as a tool to mine rocks. If you do not have the required Mining level, you may still wield the pickaxe as a weapon (provided you have the necessary Attack level to do so). For example, if you have a Mining level of 30 and you obtain a rune pickaxe (which needs a Level 41 Mining to be used), you may still use it to attack monsters, but if you try to mine coal ore with it you will not be able to. So you can still have 41 mining to use it but if your attack isn't level 40, you won't be able to wield it. Hope this clarifies things.
  22. If you're not that high of a combat level, I would highly go against Ankous, as those SOBs can hit pretty hard. Black knights aren't a bad idea either...but you're looking for GOOD drops. So go with the White Knights. :)
  23. Yes, you would be able to. :)
  24. It doesn't apply to attack. Pickaxes require only the set mining level. So for a rune pickaxe, it's level 41. EDIT: This is what the Tip.It Combat guide says: You can also wield hatchets and pickaxes as weapons, but these items are primarily used for woodcutting and mining. They are ineffective in combat. That would tell me, attack doesn't come into play really.
  25. Hehe alright then you just answered you're own question. >.> If there's a high amount they're shouting and you want to go there, then ask them for the tele and go! :P
