  1. Can't wear completionist cape -> go to unlock crucible songs -> try to get in for 20 minutes -> gives up and goes back to castle wars -> 12 mins of cw game left, 10 minutes until system update. ... Fuuuuuu -.-
  2. [qfc]15-16-992-63804514[/qfc] I can't log in either.
  3. Exactly what I was thinking. :shades: "The one time they add an update I couldn't care less about, there isn't a SoF update to ruin it."
  4. Nah, that'll be the vanity item they're releasing onto the SoF this week. They add something every other week, and nothing was done last week. Soab goblin is celebrating the Crucible release.
  5. Major League Gaming doesn't recognize Runescape as competitive. That's a pretty good standard to hold any game that claims to be competitive to. The other games I used in my example have both received attention from the aforementioned organization as well as outside sponsorships. When you compare this to Runescape's advertisements for Squeal of Fortune spins, the distinction is clear. This MMO is artificially competitive at best because of pretentious PKers and try hard casuals who think an experience race matters to the outside world. I mean, people watch LoL and SC2 at bars. My argument is hardly just an opinion. So if me and my friend race to the store on bikes, it isn't competitive because we aren't recognized by any mayor sporting league's? Sorry, but give this a read please. http://www.thefreedi...com/competitive
  6. That's a common suggestion from my subscribers, but it's too much work imo. :P I prefer to focus on the areas I like or find cool. If I had the spare time, I'd make all of Runescape though. It's a grand project.
  7. Some may remember a while back when I uploaded a video where I showed the Grand Exchange in Minecraft. Well, after a long break in building Runescape areas, I come back with a fully playable Barrows Map. I have a video showcasing the map as well as a playthrough of it for those having trouble completing the map (or for those who want to see the map before playing it.) Preferably watch it on youtube for better resolution. - Map Showcasehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH4Bhk_alcE - Playthrough of the Maphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIaFhD5LNLw If you want to download and try it, here are some links: Direct Download: [Not available on tip.it url blocked.] Planet Minecraft: http://www.planetmin...fully-playable/ Minecraft Forum: http://www.minecraft...fully-playable/
  8. I agree entirely. The reason they would rather use the wheel is because nothing is guaranteed. If someone doesn't get the full set of items for the price they paid, they'll have to spend more to get it.
  9. Finally my love for Mod Osbourne is spreading. Always like seeing him. He seems like the guy to talk to about quests. <3:
  10. NOW Gamer is giving away 10 every day for 10 days. http://www.nowgamer.com/competitions/1427595/runescape_the_evolution_of_combat_beta_key_giveaway.html
  11. I'm fairly certain they only reverted it back to before the neptune theme as well as adding the fish mask to the rare drops. The interface is the same as before the neptune theme and they didn't say they added anything else to it.
  12. Remove Neptune and Fish Junk. That's all they did. :P Corgi's seem to still be wandering around RS.
  13. Wow, so it wasn't a joke after all. Someone in Maxed mentioned watching ads for spins. I assumed it was a joke as i didn't see any watch ad button.
  14. Cngrats to Jagex, even though I know they'll pull a stunt and add another pointless batch of stuff to the Squeal of bs.
  15. .... ..... .... Meep....
  16. Imagine if they made holiday items retroactively tradeable (and obviously so you couldn't re-retrieve them from Diango). With my Yo-yo: Brb, moving all my items from Diango to bank. :P
  17. Watatroll... I am doubtful. I'm not trolling in the slightest and wouldn't be surprised if they somehow incorporated microtransactions into the hotbar. I think you are, not that i'm calling you out for beig a 'bad' troll, but everyone trolls jagex. It's pretty much a community ritual done at any point of an update. Whether its a teaser, playing the update for the first time, playing it after its been patched/nerfed/revamped there is always someone trolling jagex. It goes hand in hand with jagex's inability to meet players expectations with a reasonable track record. Lately also there's been these SoF-based trollings and it's kind of annoying to see them and I'm thinking that's why I choose to respond. 1. They already tried adding combat junk to the SoF. Developers said no. [hide=Picture][/hide] 2. You see the little number on the right side. Would be so easy for them to just add microtransactions to further unlock more. [hide=Picture][/hide] 3. I was originally going to say they would just straight up sell the hotbar tabs, but Jagex never sell ingame benefits. They sell people a chance at ingame benefits. I honestly believe they would pull a stunt as low as to sell hotbar tabs. The marketing team might have been told off on combat abilities, but I wouldn't put it past them to find a different way of sneaking themselves into the 'Biggest update ever'. Why wouldn't they take advantage of an opportunity like that. Loads will be trying out the combat rework, both beta and when it goes live.
  18. Good luck to all that apply. |^_^|
  19. Watatroll... I am doubtful. I'm not trolling in the slightest and wouldn't be surprised if they somehow incorporated microtransactions into the hotbar.
  20. Inb4 all players will receive one hotbar line upon release. For those who want more hotbar lines, you will be able to unlock them through hotbar tickets in the Squeal of Fortune.
  21. Inb4theymaketheCruciblearequirementforthecompletionistcape. They wouldn't dare challenge the Completionist Community with such exp waste. :P
  22. Agreed. Always wanted to walk around dualwielding dragon scimitars. :P
  23. I just realized something. (Probably rather late compared to others. :P) Since Jagex are suddenly ok with tradable rares now, does that mean future holiday items will all be tradable? I'd almost guess no since it doesn't get them extra money unless f2p players subscribe to get both the rewards.
  24. As they said in the video. They just built the "Punchbag" guy with a strange setup. You notice he slashes with the defender and has old item graphics as well. Still not interested in the slightest about the Crucible, but the combat tab will be used a lot more in the future once the rework is released.
  25. I can't speak for other completionists, but I for one have been training for the past year so I can try out everything a new update has to offer. Once I reached completionist status, I felt like I could finally experience all content updates and everything they had in store, which i have been doing. However, the day I have to spend extra money on top of already paying membership, just to test all that an update has to offer, is the day I take my completionist cape and leave. I think paying for content, when I'm already paying for content, is ridiculous, and i hope content developers continue to dismiss such proposals. I remember being a free player and hiting the limits of what was possible to do in free to play. I don't expect to hit such limits when I'm a member. I'd go so far as to say I pay not to hit these limits. Also agree with Kimberly. We know what happened if any of them suddenly 'disappear' without a trace I guess.
