Jagex Account Guardian
Are you sure it works with IP's? Because here in Belgium everyone has a dynamic IP. :s

Jagex Account Guardian
Uhm, what happens if you only choose this computer to log into your account, but due some overheating your computer is broken and unrepairable (happened to me twice :o), this means you cannot play on your account anymore? Or am I totally wrong here? :s

If it works through a smartphone app or something like that, I'm out. I use a Sony Ericsson from the age when they thought infrared would be the way to exchange information, bluetooth didn't exist, let alone smartphones and apps. :s

Tip.It Times - 2nd September 2012 - 200th Publication!
Great articles, like always! On the female gaming article: I'va always played as a guy, until the base outfits for our characters got upfraded with much more clothing, when I changed my character to look at the new garbs. It stayed female, just because I didn't care that much, she's fashionable and that's enough. :) I've never been harrassed because of the female avatar, well at least not on my main account. I also have a F2P Pure who is dressed exactly the same way as my main, and it also never got "special" attention. Until a few days ago. As I wanted to train my ranged on hill giants, I had to hop to the French worlds to find a spot not too crowded with bots and legit players. From the moment that I logged in, until I hit level 50 ranged (took about 3 hours, I'm slow), some Tunesian guys were constantly asking me for my facebook, asking me to look at their pictures, were constantly bragging about how many muscles they have, that they had a band and so on. I must admit, I never adressed the fact that I was a man IRL, it was funny for a long time, and everytime they saw I was on low health, they gave me free food, so I gave them their little pleasure. In the end, I did feel a bit odd about the situation especially because I've never had such an experience in the English worlds. I don't want to sound like a racist, I really don't want to, but I think my Tunesian friends have experienced a whole different education than the average scaper.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
Exactly what I tried to point out with my post, thank you. :D

I am not stating he is lying, my first post was just in general, to the whole debate here, not towards him personally. :)

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
I never said they didn't sell experience. What I meant was that it doesn't matter if it's direct or indirect selling, that aspect doesn't matter. The point is that they ARE selling exp and thus MMG is lying, just like he did on many other occasions. It's just annoying that there's a whole debate about whether it's sold directly or not, while the outcome of the two is the same.

But in the end, they do sell exp. You can't deny that.

As a human being we are also able to say no to such behavior and tell the abuser he is wrong and should change that behavior. Murder is something that also happens in this world, that does not mean we should tolerate it when someone of us gets killed on purpose. As costumers we are thus able to show our concerns and tell what feels wrong. On the cosmetics side: I always had the goal to unlock everything in the game, the music tracks, the quests, the achievement diaries, sidequests and outfits. Now once again a dream is shattered, I will never have certain outfits. And why? Because the company demands money for it, instead of letting you get it through playing, without putting in the surrounding lore. I pay for this game, why should I pay extra for an outfit, when all other outfits were unlocked by gameplay? I understand that they want more money, they are a company, and IVP wants big bucks, but the integrety of the game is in danger and a big part of the community is getting alienated from the game. These are in my opinion things that have severe consequences on the game itself. They may have doubled the Runescape staff, but we don't see a lot of evidence of it, there's a complete lack of substantial updates, apart from SGS and SOF, sadly. Now in this post there are vague hints at "big" updates coming up, but we have yet to see. The lack of not mentioning the EoC makes me wonder some stuff too. If they can vagualy hint at other stuff happening somewhere in the future, why not too about the EoC? Has the update been becoming such a monstrosity that plans are changing? Is it becoming the same novelty stuff that was poorly thought out like MA, the Clan Avarts (apart from the exp boost, you can't say it's a good design) and other instant dead content updates? Well, I certainly feel that way about the EoC, just like a certain "vocal minority", maybe IVPex feels a bit the same way? I don't know, I just find it strange.

Sizzling September!
For months there has been a complete lack at exciting updates, now in September I go on a roadtrip, and they announce a great month. Monkeyballs :s

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
Seems a pretty desperate move of Jagex. Also, other platforms were already discussed during the wilderness removal era. :/

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
It's essentially a series of fixes for broken parts of the game. I mean yeah, a lot of people will throw a fit because they can't 1 hit their opponent or gain a giant advantage because their main gave their pure dragon claws, or even (and I've actually heard this one) the idle stance is different. Most of these people will never be happy no matter what because their rose tinted glasses are permanently bolted to their skull. Of course I'm not exactly unbiased here so if I'm missing something, I'd like to know, but I really can't find anything wrong with EoC that isn't rooted in personal opinion. Have you seen the female heads already?

BTS#15: Al Kharid: Rebuilding a City (Jagex Video)
Isn't it the closest furnace in F2P?

Yeah, with an odd looking General Graardor. :s He gained some weight and he has gotten orange.

BTS#15: Al Kharid: Rebuilding a City (Jagex Video)
Falador is already some time ago, the last graphical update. I do recall that during the quests the characters told me Falador is the white city, and the whole city was build in those grey bricks who were found in every settlement (except Draynor, which had brown bricks). But Falador is really in for some new graphics. I really love the stuff I've seen in this video, I only wonder how far they went with the redesign, as I see there's now another path to the northern mine, and a lot of city walls around the city. I also wonder where the gnome lander will take off now, in a crowded little city. :P

Summer Party ON!
Wow, they really increased the chance on those items! On about 40 spins while skilling and some extra accounts, I saw the ice cone twice and one time a ring! On 40 spins! Such luck! Too sad I only got some 1K drops.

New to Solomons General Store: Introducing...Skill-Fu!
At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if some abilities of EOC have to be purchased from Solomon... This update was a disgrace to the term "update".

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Yeah, all unique boosts are gone it seems, the polypore spell, how the gloves behaved, the three god spells (how would the unlocking be now?), the spellcaster box gone,... Those unique Things would be great to be corporated more into the game, but I understand why most of them are changed/deleted, still, I'm sad, I dearly love how everything works now (nostalgia glasses!). XD

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
It bothers me a bit that there isn't that much diversion anymore, actually. :s I mean, there's a lot of added weaponry, but all stats of every weapon at a certain level are the same, which looks odd. I preferred it that every weapon had it's own set of stats.

It actually nukes the people who aren't buying enough SOFstuff. ^ That's the big secret of the "bot" nuke.

Old, uncommon, or outdated training methods
Oh well, those crossbows sucked in the beginning, they were way too slow and very low DPS, only after a rebalancing some time later crossbows became an alternative to bows. :)

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
To me, the game was never boring (ok, a lie, getting my MA ranks was a serious killer), I enjoyed it that I just had to click once in a while and could chat, watch videos or do some homework during the killing, and hopefully find some nice loot after I killed something. I find that relaxing, and I enjoyed that feeling for about 8 years. I also play other games like the Total War franchise and the odd battles at Battlefield Heroes, I enjoy those because of the immersion, but most of the time, I want something relaxing, ergo I play RuneScape. Now all of the sudden this "idle" game wants to become like the other MMOs out there, where you are forced to interact constantly. (This is also the reason I've never did a dungeon with a group, I solo so I can go at my own pace, clicking once in a while.) While some will enjoy the direction this will take, I can only feel myself sad, the gaming experience I've had the past eight years will vanish, forever, as you've shown in your post: I'll have to use a lot more food and I'll probably have to use a lot of defensive abilities. I might look very conservative now, but it's just that I'll miss that one crucial aspect of RuneScape which drawn me to it, this is just my own opinion.
