  1. I can see Paul Gower having chills over his spine when he hears about the changing Ancient Magicks. :s
  2. Let's make wild guesses what nearly-unobtainable items they'll add to the wheel. My guess is 200M (fake) gold that can use an emote where you roll around in the money to get a faux experience of what Jagex has with the wheel itself. Probably not too far off :) "Win a fortune on the Squeal of Fortune! Squeal as you roll around in a large pile of coins that may or may not be yours!" Anywho, "Players since launch" is another gross overestimation, as Jagex knows full well that most of those accounts never played RuneScape, or were not played by actual people... I've started to wonder if Jagex has developped something of an inferiority complex... It's kind of like someone constantly saying how big their penis is... Chances are, if you have to say it, it's probably not true... So too in this case, I see little reason for Jagex to come with this little chest-thumping of theirs, other than for promotional purposes or some made-up headline. Especially when they made little to no fuss at all about their first 100m players... I fear It's probably worse, and it isn't an inferiority complex... Ever hit a wall before in your work, and don't know how to proceed? Pretty soon results are demanded by your bosses, and the obvious choice is to point to some minor or irrelevant progress that you did make... I think that something similar is happening here... It'll pick up soon, it's only early morning in China atm :) Your best bet is to look after 24 hours, and extrapolate from those numbers instead... About the no no fuss about the first 100 million players, we do know they had 135 million accounts when RS HD was released, which is now 5 years ago I think, that was slammed around every time when there was an update post on the RS HD. You must also not forget that the players originally didn't have a number, but just the name the character had. This was only changed when the namechange update came around. So my guess is that they didn't have a real easy way to just see how many accounts there were, back then. And for the figure of 135M accounts at RS HD, they probably checked it the hard way then, but they forgot to see the 100M mark.
  3. Just because he's head content developer doesn't necessarily mean he's in the combat team. :) We know he's in the combat team, several videos from MCM and his blog indicate he has a large role in the combat rework.
  4. Hmm, the not mentioned mod, wouldn't that be Mod Mark?
  5. Oh dear, already 6 years ago. :s I wasn't online when it happened, but soon found out. Close friend of mine was amongst the hord of people following Durial.
  6. Am I lucky that there aren't a lot of interesting updates this month, now I can study for my finals without missing out! :D
  7. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_full_helm Provided its significantly rare enough of a drop it will become a status symbol like the dragon full helm. And people are always willing to pay lots of money for things that have horrible stats that look good/portray wealth in this game *looks at the partyhats* Party Hats are a discontinued item. Unless QBD stops dropping them, they will not ever become that rare. The price will drop. Everything else does. And as a side note, people don't hunt Mithril Dragons in hopes of getting a DFH, nor do they kill Metals for a Visage (those that do are idiots and probably don't have the mental capacity to kill QBD anyway, so they are not relevant to this discussion). Lol on my main I hunted metal dragons for a visage/training it just so happens they make the money back easily with their normal drops anyway. BTW when ppl kill anything they hope for the best drop soo idk what your talking about. I don't even know how to reply to this post. Back in 2005-2006 metal dragons were the cash cows for the average Scaper, Brimhaven dungeon was always packed. And that was before the DFS.
  8. Hmm, I did that first quickscan that MSE does when it is installed, and it found nothing, so it's safe? Also, is there any way to see if you accepted a change to your firewall? Can't seem to find that on BitDefender. :s Because I'm still unsure whether I had a Java pop up.
  9. Hmmm, I read about him entering Gielinor trough the Law Altar somewhere on the old Knowledge Base, but it's been years since I read that, so it might be that the storyline has slightly changed since then. But the fact that the altar is build on the spot where Saradomin *may* have appeared, does links him to Law, in my opinion.
  10. Hmmm, I opened SK before reading the disturbing news. And I can't quite remember if I accepted an update... I seriously don't know whether I should get on my account or not, as some on the RSOF say the malicious file can't be picked up by an antivirus.
  11. Tomorrow, on the first of June.
  12. Why did Saradomin then get to Gielinor through the Law altar? The most holy island of Saradomin is home to the same altar, so there do are links with Saradomin and Law.
  13. After begging a good friend of mine, Henr40, he uploaded the three journals he has already found, and it provides some useful information on why dragons are made by the dragonkin. Thank you Henr, you can have my babies. <3
  14. Still no one who wants to share the Dragonkin Journal? I'm dying to know what it tells. :s
  15. Really, is there a new right-click interface? I'm still using fixed screen, so I wouldn't know. :) But where are all these pics originating of? It seems like some people noclipped themselves, especially because there are multiple persons on the platform in the last picture. :s
  16. Forsaken, my thoughts exactly, given the fact that she already tried to eat us (actually we were already digesting....), I sense the fight will be like a cat playing with its prey. It sure is fun to play with your alive meal, but when it stops moving or is too annoying, the fun is gone and the cat leaves his prey behind. So I guess we are that prey, and when she has enough of us, she either kills us and if that doesn't help, well, she just goes to sleep. EDIT: also, disturbing news about 8realms, I really liked the closed beta a year ago, sad to see they are abandoning it, just as all their other projects. :s
  17. Do they actually think we CARE about those spins? (Except the fact that it's a microtransaction thingy...)
  18. I don't know the source either, but there are more pictures with the same character. So yeah, she's quite big. XD Also, notice the big chain around her neck. :s
  19. That's Freneskae, mate. :P
  20. Fact is, they have curators for each quest arc, so I suppose also for bigger content pieces, so actually, such things should get noticed soon enough. I think a large factor also is what they often say: their "to do list", unless it's of high priority, a certain change can be waiting years to be upgraded/fixed. I do agree with the first article. I'm still annoyed by those 8 old trees at the edge of Morytania, next to the Salve river, and many other stuff as well. About the second and third article, as they are linked in a way: Gameplay Immersion is one of the main reasons I like this game, just as the author, I have a great imagination and while playing, I often replayed myself with my character and I LIVED through it, it was so awesome, exploring the whole wild world, getting lost, because you couldn't find the map, finally find the goblin village, search for goblin mails, it felt like real quests I did myself. And I and some friends who played together, we would tell hours to each other about what we did, what dragon we killed, how we were so scared when that murderer in the wilderness showed up... Ahhh, I miss those days! And so, the third article, it would be such fun to actually explore yourself. I was wondering myself some time ago that if they did a graphical remake of Karamja, they could use a similar technique, that you really had to explore it, just as our task should have been at the Legend's quest. I'm getting excited already just by the idea! :P
  21. Yeah, they don't show actual ingame stuff, but at least they show people who seem to enjoy their game. With this trailer, you see nothing, I see a few generic fightertype persons attacking something we can't see, it doesn't show ANY aspect of the game, not even why it would be fun to play it.
  22. Gotten a mystic tattoo, all my other spins were 50gp or small lamps. :/
  23. Notice one of their first statements: it's here to stay. :/ Really, their arguments.. Even a 5 year old could tell the REAL problems with SoF.
  24. Or you can go chop some ivy right now, all of the sudden I've gotten 38 free spins on about 100k cutting ivy. :s
  25. I'm still waiting for the wild aspect of those weekends....
