Toads Vs. Ranarrs Vs. Snaps
[hide=Big Quote] What? If you dont take seed:cost of herb into account, how can you calculate profit? In your spreadsheet, your formula should be [herb price*(whatever your average yeild is)]-[seed cost] or else... how could it be done? And no, we dont take dead seeds into account. Not because we dont want to, but its just too damn difficult to take those into the formula. We just dont know the death % is. And no, there isnt anything that is always the best profit. Thats why we need spreadsheets or calculators. That isnt any difficult maths at all, you just have to check ge from time to time. snaps: 12.1k*6.86 - 64.2k = 18.806k kwuarm: 3833*6.86 - 6245 = 20.04938k I mean, some people say it's best to plant toadflax because the herb is worth 2 times as much as the seed, while you need about 5 snaps to pay for the seed. Which obviously isn't right. I guess I didn't word it clearly. And we do take deaths into account, they're already factored in in the average herb yield (which of course isn't accurate if you don't use my arm's patch). [/hide] I'm going to do a little math here to show snaps work. Ill use the 6.86 as the average. This average includes deaths. 1 Toadflax Seed: 906 Gp each Grimy Toadflax herbs: 2,630 Gp each Average 6.86 herbs: 18,041 gp Profit: 17,135 gp 1 Snapdragon Seed: 64.9k Gp each Grimy Snapdragon Herb: 12.3k Gp each Average 6.86 herbs: 84,378 Gp Profit: 19,478 Gp From those simple calculations Snapdragons are an easy 2k more profit. And that's if you get the average. Some people get more. You also get better exp with snapdragons. Right now prices are fluctuating so its going to be hard to get a real good average. Just go and look and see which herb profits the most. The 4 best to plant for profit are Toadflax, Ranarr, Kwuarms, and Snapdragons. Others from these all profit but probably not by much.

I don't understand how Slayer makes money
Compfreak never did really like the slayer skill. And that's more of a personal opinion. OT: Like it has been said though. Low slayer/cb levels = low profits. At higher levels you can make loads of money. I just made about 270k from an Aquanite task. And i did not get an Amulet of Ranging. Of course though if you're going to slay only for money and you don't really like the skill then you're going to think its pointless and boring. Yes there are better ways to train combat and make moneys. But slayer is a nice way to blend both, especially since you can get charms that help with summoning. Some think though that the profit only come from those rare and high price drops. This is only somewhat true. Its more of the herbs, seeds, runite items, magic runes, and other items that help bring in profit. Also if you plant those seeds (they will mostly be herb seeds) you can make even more money.

83 Slayer or 85 Slayer?
To be completely honest. . . Kill Green Dragons for cash. Do Slayer because you enjoy it. Camping for drops isn't that great. Mages drops Dragon Boots, runes and Pure Essesnce. Nothing else. And the drops vary. Average is 1/210 or so. Slaying you get about one per task. Demons drop them in about 1/300, don't remember the exact number i heard. They also drop other thigns such as decent runes to alch, magic runes to sell, Pure Essence, and charms for summoning.

Summoning. . . Now what?
The Lava Titan is great for mining. In fact i believe it is the best one to use while mining. It boosts mining yes, but it doesn't really do anything else. In powermining, that's not very helpful although it may have it's merits when mining rune or adamantite ore... Of course it helps in powermining. Its like the thing people are saying with the Dragon pick. Not that good unless using on higher level ores. It still helps mine the lower ones better then then with the rune. Same applies with the Titan. It increases exp rates by a small amount. Helping you mine ores a little bit faster.

What to bring for Kree'Arra?
Wouldn't this be along the lines of Bug Abuse? Familiars aren't meant to hold items when dismissed much less a Fruit Bat to hold items.

Range lvl 76-85
If you know how to range, then you could easily range most slayer tasks. There are a few you might not be able to but most can be. Other then that you could try ranging some creatures. Knives on Fire Giants seem to be a good way train as well as being profitable.

Summoning. . . Now what?
First off: Idk if this should be in here or Suggestions. I hope to get this talking about new updates to summoning. I am not giving any ideas as i have none really. Now to the meat of the matter. With the release of summoning some saw it as a great skill, others saw it as a hindrance to certain activities. One most noticed if PK'ing. With the release of the second batch of familiars people saw that summoning had great use in a variety of skills. And then they changed the way it affects PK'ing so even pures could get summoning up and it not affect them. Well i was thinking. Most skills get updated later on in the years. New tools for other skills, new monsters, and gear for slayer. New materials for some skilling. And new weapons/gear for general fighting. But with summoning you get a nice choice of creatures in the 90s. You get a Yak that can bank items for you from wherever you may be. A Titan that is the King of them all and is pretty damn strong. Even some lesser creatures that help with skilling such as fishing, hunter, hell even some that help you train summoning. There isn't much you can add here and there to improve it really. Not much of a hard still to train, aside from gathering the charms and making the money but that's something else. What I guess I'm getting to is, do yall think there is any way that Jagex could update the summoning skill any farther then it is? Don't get me wrong though, other skills are in needs of updates before this. But what about years from now when we have more skills? Newer ways to train, newer ways to do certain activities. Hell maybe even an underwater GWD area :? . And if there is something else like this then please direct me to the thread so i may read it. Or if in the wrong section feel free to move it.

Are Dust Devils worth it?
For the Chain drop? No. For all other things you might need? Yes. They are a great slayer task, easy exp and fast. Also great crimson droppers and some decent money as well.

4-57 Summoning
Yet with 60/73/50 i doubt he will do very well at either of them. Stick with Slayer.

wgs summoning boost
Like Zapps said it wouldn't work. You need a base level in the skill to use that. Its the same as if trying to pot up to 70 attack to use a whip.

The Ultimate "What To Buy?" Dilemma
If I had to choose, I'd say number one. Saradomin Sword = Poor Man's God Sword. Can you train controlled with a Whip? That'd be a better choice than any of these. Tbh Sara Sword > GS. When it comes to str training the SS is the best out there. If you are training Str then the SS would be great to invest in. Until then you can use a D Scimmy + Rune Def for cheap. Torags is much better then the Chain and is much cheaper. That leaves the Fury. The best amulet in the game for overall training. It is worth the price. And unless Jagex does something it will most liekly not crash in price.

Need some runecrafting help
This is probably the best guide for runecrafting. Gives detailed exp/hr and gp/hr for some of the more common ways to train runecrafting. Note though that Zarfot likes to be precious while playing so he gives detailed information.
