  1. Doomtree - Drumsticks Pretty great hip-hop collective, with punk influence a'plenty.
  2. I don't know, man.
  3. Hahaha. Merzbow isn't J-whatever, that's reserved for -kei stuff. Also: Boris, Sigh and Concerto Moon. Merzbow is a genius, whatever he is.
  4. The only good J-musician is Merzbow. Alright, I'm kidding. Mostly.
  5. A bigger waste than anti-marijuana campaigns? I think the greatest tragedy of the anti-drug campaigns of the last thirty years is that, after trying 'softer' drugs (such as marijuana), and discovering that all of the propaganda is just that, kids wonder what else their parents and teachers were lying about. Maybe meth ain't so bad, eh? You know a guy who can get us some?
  6. Deadwood, while not 'beautiful' in the sense of being pretty, or even polished, is beautiful to me because it isn't. It's a gritty ride on the edge of your seat, and, (at least for me) likely, one of the best westerns that anyone could have the pleasure of experiencing. Even if you don't like westerns. The dialogue is impeccable, the storylines great, and the plotting, scheming, and general skulduggery are first-rate. Al Swearengen: Pain or damage dont end the world, or despair or f***ing beatings. The world ends when youre dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man and give some back.
  7. God is an Astronaut - Deafening Distance
  8. Beirut - Bratislava
  9. Great song. Great album. Great band. Ever listen to Do Make Say Think? On topic: Do Make Say Think - You, You're Awesome
  10. My Bloody Valentine - When You Sleep
  11. Source--NY Times I don't know about y'all, but this made me smile. I'm not sure they'll be able to recapture Loveless, but I certainly with them luck.
  12. Do Make Say Think - White Light Of
  13. People get frustrated by this because they don't want whatever subgenre of metal they're listening to tainted by the bland, boring, and utterly predictable scourge that is metalcore. I don't blame them. Sorry, but no. Hardcore's roots are firmly in punk.
  14. Since I'm not sure of your musical tastes, Necrobean, I'll point out something I enjoy (and something that I'm listening to at the moment): Do Make Say Think. Cheers.
  15. Or, more specifically: ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Relative Ways Every time I listen to this album, I'm blown away by the wealth of emotion it manages to convey without being whiny or overdone--it definitely ranks among my favorites. (I'm just kind of disappointed that their later efforts couldn't match Source Tags & Codes--it's understandable, however. Topping it would be... difficult, to say the least.)
  16. I do not miss certs. I do not miss certs at all.
  17. I remember all but the first. I also remember how impossible it was to get dye in the days after its release. Remember when rune meds were the [cabbage]? Remember when the language filters were first introduced? I seem to remember them being optional, and I also remember the bug that caused random words to come out as 'cabbage'. Remember when bunny ears were dropped, and the outrage on the various forums about how they weren't tradeable? That was the first holiday drop I ever participated in, and I, like many, waited around for awhile hoping to get drops that I could sell for tons of GP. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Who remembers the original RSoF? More pointless than playing a MMORPG, is it? I'm not posting here to outdo anyone--I'm posting here because I enjoy thinking about times passed every now and again. It's been a long time, and remembering certain things makes me smile. Here's an tip for you, though: if you don't like the content of a thread, ignoring it can be done with relative ease and a bit of self-control. Go on--it's easy! :)
  18. Yeah, suggesting that people with a dangerous predisposition towards addiction replace Runescape with drinking is a great idea.
  19. Oh, sweet non-specific diety, don't remind me of fatigue! That sleeping bag and all it stood for haunts my dreams to this day, man. My dreams.
  20. I remember selling a green mask for 300k. A santa hat, too. I remember the days before membership was introduced, and a part of me misses it: the game seemed like a more friendly, casual place back then. I remember the days before the the wilderness was released, when PKing could happen anywhere outside of Lumbridge. I remember fishing away on Christmas Day, 2001, without even bothering to pick up those silly Christmas cracker things. *facepalm* I remember growing up with this game, and now I'm feeling old and nostalgic.
