  1. Really, the only thing you can do is maximise how efficiently you use your time. Drink a strength and attack pot before entering (they're dirt cheap, or make them with herblore to boost that if you want, they can even be made at low levels), run all the time, and don't pick up anything if you truly want to get it fast. However, picking up the 2h swords black and higher can earn a nice profit selling them to the shop on the second floor . . . and the bones can earn some prayer experience. If you do this, though, you'll usually need more tokens since your kills/minute goes down. Also, always target the lower-leveled cyclopes, and try to find a place where you'll auto-switch between two cyclopes as they spawn on either side of you. World-hopping may be useful if your world has a dozen people trying to fight them already.
  2. It takes a long time anyway, and if you're switching over to members, it's best to have some high skills (70+ at least) so that you can jump in and get right to the fun high-level member stuff instead of having to still grind to raise your low levels while you're shelling out 6 dollars a month or so. And btw, I'm not just talking about combat skills (although those are important too). Get some non-combat skills up as high as you can and earn as much money as you possibly can before switching over to members. Some of the members items are very fun, but once you join you'll realize that those Dragon boots, legs, that sweet whip, and that cool obsidian shield you've seen are EXPENSIVE. Getting a mil or two before you join will save you several days of having to pay for boring, repetitive tasks.
  3. The examiners are in the large building to the SOUTH of the digsite. Go over the big hill with the pathways on it, there should be a big urn in front of the building with the examiners.
  4. World hopping to sell off 4k+ symbols would take a very long time . . .
  5. You'll need 70 attack for an Abyssal Whip, too, one of the best overall one-handed weapons in the game. Grab that!
  6. Edit it to ask a new question, ask a moderator to lock it, or just don't post in it anymore to let it drift to the back and forgotten pages of the forums. You can't outright delete it.
  7. If' he's got 55 slayer or higher, he should be using broad bolts, not bone. At only about 50 to 60 gp each, they're not expensive by any use of the word.
  8. Well, no, but Harpie Bug Lanterns don't really count as a light source. Other lanterns (except for Bullseye, of course), can go out in a cave if you fall in water or run into a burst of wind or other things.
  9. He means all the ones that require special equipment to prevent stat reduction.
  10. Aviansies are Armadyl, which is why I would recommend bringing along the pendant of Armadyl (reward from Temple of Ikov quest), so that for at least the first half hour or so the Aviansies won't be aggressive towards you. After they go un-aggressive, you can take it off if you choose.
  11. Yes, but he's wondering how long it will take for the trees and bushes to regrow. I generally check mine once a day, so I can't be of much help. However, since they produce a max of six, maybe it takes 1/6 of their growing time to regain each fruit?
  12. I believe the Granite Lobster will randomly fish at whatever you're fishing at.
  13. It's possible that a random popped up and engaged you in combat . . . and then you died. It seems highly unlikely, if you weren't actually DOING anything (no actions/clicking), but I guess it's possible. I suppose now at least you've got a story to tell.
  14. At least I saw that before this turned into pages and pages of "try this spot" and "file a bug report".
  15. Broad bolts ftw. And the problem is that when you're close, they'll fire-breath AND melee you, while if you back up they'll just use long-range fire breath attacks. So back up, wield a d-fire shield (or antifire shield), chug an antifire pot, and range them to death. You can use magic too, if you want, but you probably won't break even, as their drops aren't too great for how much effort it takes to kill them. EDIT: Forgot you need 55 slayer for broad bolts. Stick with mith then, or drop down to steel if you can't afford the mith bolts.
  16. Granite CRABS only help out with big net fishing.
  17. It's RANDOM, hence all the complaints about PvP.
  18. Have you looked at the other dozen Aviansie threads on this forum yet?
  19. Nevermind, it's on the wilderness side.
  20. Hi, where do I build the ladder? Do I do it on the wilderness side? A fast answer would be appreciated!
  21. If you take this method, be sure to wear full plate to lower your magic, so you'll be less likely to hit with the spell, and thus less likely to have to kill him to reset.
  22. You need 40 crafting to get into the Crafting guild. :wall:
  23. Mirror shield is really a must have. Why not? They're easily slain anyway. Just bring along a mirror shield and some food, and you can cruise through 90 of them in a breeze.
  24. In order to trade pouches to the ogre for shards, you must have a summoning level 7 levels higher than what was required to make the pouch. EXAMPLE: to make bull ant pouches, you need 40 summoning. You can't trade them to the ogre until level 47. Also, i'd stick with granite crabs for a little while longer - they're cheap, and the secondary materials are easily obtained.
