  1. Bring some antipoisons, decent food (a handful of tunas should do the job), good melee armor, and a prayer pot. If you pray against mage, the mage will use a dds on you, often poisoning. Pray against mage, use an antipoison to heal from the poison spec, and hack away. Poison him back if you want some revenge. They're not that hard.
  2. Tanning, picking/spinning flax, rune essence mining - all of these are terribly boring, and thus, good money. Also consider killing some cave slimes in the slayer caves beneath lumbridge - you can earn 150k/hr pretty regularly by picking up and selling all the swamp tar. Also, go buy and resell as many battlestaves as you can from Zaff each day for an extra 30k or so. It's not much, but it takes about a minute and it helps!
  3. In a word, no. You're doing about the fastest route possible as f2p. Sorry. You could switch to airs for a little while to earn some profit and get a change of scenery if you want at 44 . . . but your experience will be even lower . . . push through the boredom, you're almost (not really) there!
  4. Green dragons are a very nice source of income for medium-level players. For best killing, you'll want to get your slayer up to 55 so you can use broad bolts on them (cheap and incredibly effective). If not, use a bone crossbow simply for the incredible cheapness of the bolts (2 gp each!). Pick up the hides and bones, and bank them both. These can be used to train prayer and crafting very fast, or sold for quite a bit. Also, don't forget your anti-dragonbreath shield! This is NECESSARY.
  5. You mean fletching? It's incredibly easy. Get some logs, and use a knife on them. Repeat until you've reached the level desired. Yes, it's that easy. It even has a "make-x" option.
  6. I'm trying but I can't seem to reach . . What I think (hope) the poster is trying to point out with sarcasm and exaggeration is the fact that percentage isn't very important, price itself is. Sure, they went up 13 percent, but that's nothing because their base price was so low. If godswords went up 13%, many more people would be talking. Percentage increase/decrease isn't a true indicator of value change.
  7. I'm sorry, why should I be sick of junk trades? I get free junk-y stuff! Anyway, this is just proof that Jagex cannot control the economy. The GE is supposed to limit demand on items, but it's hard to limit demand of an item short of telling people that they just can't have it. Trading will always try to get around any limits posted on it - this is the essence of capitalism.
  8. Grow all your own herbs. While your herbs are growing, kill chaos druids in Edgeville dungeon to get more herb drops. Collect your own secondary ingredients and make everything.
  9. Funny, I haven't seen any around today . . . usually there's a ton in the cabbage field north of Port Sarim. Someone else posted that they may have already been removed . . . :-#
  10. I had to go through about 30 of them before I got one . . . it just takes time. Keep on killing and waiting, it's not a guaranteed drop.
  11. Wow, what crappy answers so far . . . Generally, the cheap way to do it is with gold charms till 33, then honey badgers up to 52, then terrorbirds till you're just about out of gold charms, and keep going with greens and reds, while saving blues for 89 to power-boost you to the 90s. For a complete, useful, and very helpful guide, I would go look for Inuashakent's guide to Summoning Mastery in the AoW section.

    Hunter

Deadfall traps provide nice experience, don't require banking, and can be done in conjunction with a skill like fletching bolts or high alching.
  13. I found it in the houses to the WEST of the arena.
  14. Ya but one time i got 6 then the next i got 4 and it said i only have 4 points. You probably had 4 points from previous games, then clicked twice so you saw the screen saying you had 6 TOTAL points. You then spent them on experience, and at your next game got 4. You CANNOT get more than 4 points at a time, max.
  15. Post in the sticky at the top of this forum.
  16. You haven't played it yet, have you . . . ? You get 2-4 points per game. 2 for the easy boat, 3 for the med boat, and 4 for the hard boat. The points are intangible (no item to keep track of!) and they are saved forever as soon as you earn them. This means that if you want to buy a 100-point item from the knights, you will need to WIN 50 games in the easy boat, 34 games in the medium boat, or 25 games in the hard boat. The easy boat is generally the best unless you find a good team for the higher level boats, and usually a game is <5 minutes. They go by pretty fast.
  17. 95% of the time when someone's gotten a problem with coordinates it's that they don't have the items in their inventory. I wish jagex would just not make them necessary . . . Anyway, /thread.
  18. Do you have the clue AND the sextant AND the chart AND the watch with you? You need to have all the items in your inventory or it won't show up (this has screwed me up many times in the past)
  19. It's not fast, but if you buy a [cabbage]load of logs and fletch them into unstrung bows for fletching experience, you can use the unstrung bows for junk. They can be accumulated quite quickly if you're standing in front of a one-click bank.
  20. ^ read it. Basically, you get a certain number of points for completing each task. The number of points you get is dependent upon the slayer master who assigns the task (higher level slayer master=more points for each task they assign). There are bonuses of extra points received after the 5th/10th/50th task completed in a row, etc.
  21. You could always just bank it and pull out a few thousand to spin each day. Never have to buy/pick another piece of flax again . . .
  22. Have you tried checking the guide on tip.it yet? http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=36 You also, only need 42 thieving by the quest guide . . .
  23. +1 in a brown cup, +2 in a white porcelain cup, +3 in a gold trimmed cup. It depends on the level of the shelves in your kitchen.
  24. You can add me for any questions too: Dragoon Z2. To train summoning, by the way, you make pouches, similar to the one you did in the quest. 1 charm + X shards + some secondary ingredient, used with a summoning obelisk. Don't actually summon the familiars unless you're actually going to use it; you only gain about 0.1 exp for summoning the creature at lower levels (I had a friend who thought you had to summon the monsters in order to gain experience; he went through about 300 wolf pouches before I explained how summoning actually was trained to him).

    600k

Woodcutting yews is fairly afk-able. If you've got some Varrock armor, buy the battlestaves off of Zaff and sell them on the GE for some profit. I can make about 30k/day doing it, so that will help lessen your money to be earned.
