I really liked the article. I thought that the author hit the point quite well with pointing out how the dragon platebody has been hyped up so much, that now the fact that it doesn't block 99% of damage, boost all stats by 50, shoot fireballs, and summon metal dragons on your opponent makes people disappointed. By releasing higher and better armors (i.e. barrows) before it, Jagex ruined any shot the dragon platebody had at superiority. Now it's just filling an empty slot instead of sitting at the top of the pyramid. P.S. I still want one though . . . but there's no way I'm going to pay anything close to 30 mil for it. NEXT!

The tool may degrade more quickly, but won't getting some experience during the game help balance out the loss of experience during the time spent earning the points for the tools?
-
All I know is that mine would be depressingly high. It's probably a good thing that Jagex doesn't let us see, or else many disgruntled high levels would quit in exasperation after seeing how much time they had wasted on the game.

It might just be the large numbers of roaming noobs, but at times I feel like Runescape is definitely not pampering its new players too much. I mean, it's hard to think that "Oh, they're making it too easy for everyone" when there are noobs at the G.E. who don't understand the concept of opening the world map and finding out where a location is instead of asking "Dur where is Catherbuy???" Sad as it is, it seems often as though the guides they provide aren't even enough to help out the lower half of the people playing. I get daily questions about trivial, obvious things that could be answered by the player themself in under ten seconds or so. I think that while there definitely shouldn't be guides to boss killing and related high-level activities, there eventually will be simply because so many bewildered idiots will demand them in broken English.

There are actually 7, for if you miss one. From the tip.it quest guide

Isn't Fenkenstrain at his castle in Morytania?

Then ignore the clues/herbs. All of these are still good to kill because they go down quickly and won't bother your 10 defense. If you're planning a pure, that is. Otherwise, you can focus on getting that up, so you can go kill just about whatever you want.

There's almost nothing that provides a profit in buy/alch. And if there is, no one's going to give it away because you'll cause the prices to rise and they'll lose it -.- However, look into superheating. If you mine the iron and buy the coal, you can turn a profit with superheating.
-
Really? Just go kill some lower leveled stuff! Go kill iron minotaurs for arrows, or men in Edgeville for lots of clues, or palace guards in Al Kharid for lots of easy lower-leveled herb drops. It'll take you less than an hour to gain levels when you're that low.

Okay, I'll stick with what I've been doing (not bothering with it). I guess Jagex just didn't realize how long and slow it is to bait traps, without seeing much effect.
-
I know that supposedly baiting a trap increases the chance that you'll catch something in it (hunter skill, of course). Is it worth it to bait the trap? Or is this just a waste of money/time?
-
Just wear a full set of d'hide armor (it'll be green for you, since you've only got 40 range). They go down fast.
-
I strongly doubt it. You lose out a tiny fraction in your calculations due to limited number of significant figures in your calculator. I suspect that Jagex probably keeps it as 4/3 instead of worrying about a tiny decimal point. Besides, if you watch the numbers go up as you kill stuff, you don't drop a random point or two here or there.

Really? I'm pretty sure it has to be from a single cat, since I just got mine today. I remember catching at least 20 rats with a previous cat, but it still took me 100 rats caught with my single cat today to get the medal.

You need to START (not necessary to complete) Fairy Tale - Pt. 2 in order to unlock the fairy rings, one of the easiest ways of getting around Runescape. This means that you must complete Fairy Tale - Pt. 1 first. Desert Treasure unlocks Ancient magics, but it's a hard quest to do. Similarly, Lunar Diplomacy allows access to Lunar magics, but it's also a difficult quest. Wolf Whistle unlocks the summoning quest. Very fast and easy. Druidic Ritual unlocks the Herblore skill. Also very easy. Priest in Peril unlocks access to Morytania, and Ghosts Ahoy gives you the Ectophial, a very very nice re-usable one-click, one-space teleport to Port Plasmatys. Eadgar's Ruse unlocks the Trollheim Teleport, Watchtower unlocks the watchtower teleport, and Plague City unlocks the Ardougne teleport. These are some of the most useful quests to do, although several require requisites or fairly high skill levels. Good luck!

You have to paste the code into your signature box on your control panel.

Woodcutting is very afk-able (and cheap, since you really only need to buy a d axe, then you make money after that), but it's horribly slow. If you're not focused entirely on it, you won't get huge amounts of experience quickly. Fletching would really be your best bet. It's semi-afk-able (maybe a couple clicks every thirty seconds to two minutes, just bank, Make-All, repeat), and it's very cheap. Mining's not afk-able, firemaking is definitely not afk-able, combat stats are semi-afk-able at times, but not if you want tons of experience and to get the drops (plus they've got a death risk, of course) . . . go with woodcutting or fletching. You could also do fishing if you want, I just find it to be even slower than woodcutting. Bleagh. Up to you if you like it though. It's also very afk-able.

What's your thieving level?

Mind bombs, mage potions, etc. WILL get you into the guild. I don't know if you can start the quest with them, but I assume so. Good luck!

[rant] Okay, so I log in this afternoon to my account to find that I've been muted for a week! I go on to the account management site to see why, I repeal the offenses (both of which are snippets of text taken out of context), and angrily console myself to the fact that now I'm not going to be able to talk for the next week. Gah! [/rant] Anyway, now I'm somehow listed as having 5.1 black marks. What's with the .1?? Do these marks go away with time, as I am now excessively careful of what I say and try harder to avoid WBMs? Or am I stuck with them forever?

Serum 207s are very cheap.

Three uber rare accounts. Which one should I make insane?

9 hp is from transferring an account to rs2 from rsc. I'd go with the 9hp skiller - he's got a sweet name, too. -
I believe Java just released a new update, it may be due to that. Try reinstalling it.

harpoons are 5gp ea you figure out the math Now that's not nice. We are the Help and Advice forum, after all. Since each harpoon costs 5 to buy and you sell it at 80-82, you make about 75 gp profit per harpoon. This means that if you're trying to earn a certain amount, you just divide it by 75 to get the number of harpoons you need, then multiply it by 5 to get the cost. If you want to make 320k profit an hour, that's 4k harpoons bought in an hour. 4k times 5 gp/harpoon is 20k. You should spend about 20k an hour doing this!
