  1. Always use the morphic tool. Steel bars are decent, that's how I'm raising mine. Alternatively, you can mine and smelt iron ore with a ring of forging. How much money are you willing to spend on this?
  2. Maybe they want to settle their marital problems with duels.
  3. Woodcutting, teaks are best. You won't make any money, but you won't lose much either. Just keep on cutting and dropping until your mind is dead with boredom, then do some more. Buying and then reselling a dragon woodcutting axe might be beneficial if you don't have one and things are just going too slow. It just gets really bogged down at 70+. I'm not sure on most of the others, but cut those gems immediately. That'll give you a nice chunk of experience, and you're so close in that skill that you might just be able to buy d'hide for the rest.
  4. I remember that place fondly, I gained almost 10 prayer levels there. Unfortunately, it's gone now to make way for minigames. Aaaw.
  5. Why? If you're a high level, you get free exp for standing there. If you're a low level, you get 9x the air runes instead of 2x.

    god gear

The trim is White, green, or red for Saradomin, Guthix, or Zamorak, respectively. There are other trimmed "god" items, but they're limited to p2p'ers.
  7. Haha, maybe I'm just bad at it then. In any case, it's worthwhile. If you have some skilled friends doing it with you it's possible to earn even more than that, I know.
  8. Allotments are okay to do, as long as you don't mind sacrificing the extra time. Be sure to grow high-level stuff in them, though - watermelons are best (and they make supercompost, too! :D ). A limpwurt root sells for about 800 gp. A marigold sells for about 3k. People buy marigolds for bull ant summoning pouches. Also, if you're close to a level, and you've got nothing else to do, don't forget about vinesweeper! It's an easy minigame once you get the hang of it and you can earn 2k-4k points in an hour if you're good at it.
  9. Depends on what you're fighting. Various monsters have different defense levels and different resistances to ranged attacks.
  10. Get a cut sapphire. Take out a bullseye lantern lens (do it someplace outside the cave so you won't get hurt if you don't have a second light source) and use the sapphire with the steel bullseye lantern frame. Use this lit sapphire lantern on the light creatures to get across.
  11. Plant bushes and trees at all the places you can. Those are the ones you "check" for a major boost of experience. Also, watermelons are decent for growing to turn into supercompost. While you're not making farming runs, wait for your crops to grow by playing vinesweeper. If you're any good at windows minesweeper, then vinesweeper will be no challenge. I can usually earn an extra 3k-5k experience there while waiting for my crops to grow. Then just pop back, replant, and repeat.
  12. The whole tight-wad limestone thing refers to the fact that limestone bricks (along with molten glass, soft clay, steel bars and regular planks) are one of the items for construction that can be obtained for free. It's possible to grind with limestone, simply building fireplaces over and over, but it's much much slower. Really, you might as well use the extra time from oak planking to earn back the money - it will still be faster than limestone.
  13. Get Ava's Accumulator from the Animal Magnetism quest. Seriously, it will pick up about 90% of your ammunition for you. The quest takes an hour or so, and in exchange those 150 broad bolts will actually last the same time as about 5,000 if you didn't pick them up. BTW, advantage of c'bow is that it can be used with a shield if you're fighting higher-damage monsters and not safespotting.
  14. Oak planks are the best balance of speed and cost. Basically, make oak larders. They take eight oak planks, so it works well with a butler unnoting your planks. If you've got the money, levels 45-50 will take under an hour.
  15. Roe-made potions (anything from level 24 restore mixes downward) will heal 3 per bite. Caviar-made potions (anything from level 29 energy mixes upward) will heal 6 per bite. The highest potion that can be made with roe is the level 24 restore mix. Anything above that needs caviar. BTW, even if you use caviar with a potion level 24 or lower, it will still only heal 3, as if you had used a roe on it.

    Noob or Nerd?

Insults are one of the last refuges of a small mind, as it tries to blindly deny the truth as if hoping that the denial of its existence will cause it to magically vanish or change to their mindset. Ignore list ftw. Dear lord, Jagex, thank you for that tool ever so much. I will gladly accept cruddy glitched updates as long as you don't take my ignore list away from me.
  17. [/hide] That's not true. It is possible to play nearly 24 hours by using polyphasic sleep. Polyphasic sleep is the secret trick people very high on highscores list use to gain insane amounts of exp everyday. It consists of sleeping ~30 minutes, every four hours. The body, instead of wasting time at lower phases of sleep like it does with normal sleeping, goes directly to deep regenerating sleep. Meaning you can effectively stay awake 21 hours a day, and still feel just fine. Leonardo da Vinci and other known figures practiced it, and it's said to give one's a boost of creativity. It's even possible to just sleep 10 minutes every 4 hours when your body is used to it, meaning you can stay up 23 hours. This is why the length of time played a day, or the amount of exp is not incriminating, it's suspicious only to those who don't understand how it's done. First off, that's very doubtful to me, as a psychology student, that most of the people who play Runescape can manage a feat like this. Second, it doesn't work for any long length of time - the body simply cannot go directly into REM or stage 4 sleep instantly like that. Also, you've got the creativity part backwards - it's the MORE you try to get by on polyphasic sleep, the LESS creativity you will have. There's also studies suggesting that it can kill some of the brain cells that regulate the normal sleep cycle, permanently "messing up" your sleep patterns for months, possibly even the rest of your life. And before you pull out your bashing hammers, remember to cite your sources! Here's mine: http://www.supermemo.com/articles/polyphasic.htm#Polyphasic%20sleep
  18. There was actually a debate forum post arguing over whether barbarian mixes are effective. If you don't mind healing at the same time you drink a potion, it's actually more effective to take a couple 2-dose barbarian pots instead of one 4-dose pot and using the other slot for food. The two barbarian mixes will heal 12 each, for a total of 24. What easy-to-get food will heal 24 hp? The only problem is that you'll be drinking the potion while healing, so it's not so useful for things like prayer pots or some other potions you consume when at full health. Summary: Keep them. The herblore bonus isn't much, but the pots you make can be useful.
  19. Or run the logs yourself. Takes more time, but like I said above, saves 400-250=150 gp PER OAK PLANK. +crappy woodcutting experience, too! Basically, you'll need about 600 normal planks * 100 gp/plank if done yourself = 60,000 gp in normal planks. Or with normals you can pick up spawns around the world if you're so inclined. Generally faster to go to sawmill. If you buy them from the GE, they'll be 200 gp each. That's 120,000 gp to level 33. Don't forget the nails! It's variable how many you'll break, and you can smith them yourself. If not, buy them from the GE - they're incredibly cheap. From level 33 to level 50, you'll need about 1,400 oak planks. At 250 each, these will cost you 350,000 gp if you run them yourself. If you buy them from the GE, they'll be 400 each. That will be 560,000 gp instead if you do it like that. (remember, oak planks and above don't need nails, so don't go overboard with 20k nails or anything silly like that) Unfortunately, for the BTP tab, you'll need a Mahogany Eagle Lectern, which you don't get until level 67 construction :wall:
  20. Yes, world 31. It should be labeled "House Parties".
  21. DON'T buy the planks on GE unless you're willing to lose 150 gp more per plank. Really, that means you're getting only two planks when you could be getting 3 from sawmill operator, and the walk is actually fairly short.
  22. I'd go hit up some birds, at least until you get bored. The feathers are worth holding on to for fletching or fly fishing.
  23. Make sure you've got the chart, sextant, and watch in your inventory! I've done this several times where I've headed to the right spot (thanks tip.it!) without the equipment and it hasn't appeared. You need the items in order to dig it up.
  24. He WILL be at his computer, he's talking about tabbing over to another browser and reading an article, or watching a video, or checking tip.it forums. This way he can multi-task without risk of instant death through missing a heal for 30 seconds.
