  1. Would be nice if we could get more things like Tz-Rek Jad that make sense, and not just lore breaking, scaled down versions of bosses. I mean, I like a novelty pet as much as the next guy, but just making every boss into a pet seems kind of lazy somehow. There's no creativity.
  2. Make "Power to the Players" system. Offer only polls with Jagex approved outcomes. Justify ignoring of player suggestions by claiming they're not through official channels.Players have less power now than they've ever had.
  3. FINALLY. Don't get your hopes up, he said something to the effect that it is his eternal quest to find a way to do it. Quick, write him up a quest guide! Start point: Speak to design team leader Membership required: Yes Official difficulty: Medium Length: Very long Required quests: High school diploma Business degreeSkill requirements: 61 Creativity (Assistable) 37 Leadership 19 Livestreaming (Assistable) 68 Design (Assistable) Ability to overcome substantial design challenges Ability to defeat high level (120-138) disgruntled players without food or armorItems required: Up to a year's payment for design teamGiving the order Start by speaking to the design team leader. After exhausting all of the options, talk about starting a new project. Explain that you want to make shops more viable, and confirm you want to start production. Mention the project on a livestream. Explain to the playerbase that it is your life's goal, and that you will do what must be done to make it happen. Mention that "it will be polled." Check in on the design team from time to time. The project takes a different amount of time for different players, but most report it being completed within 6-12 months. You may be required to assist the team in any of the listed skills. When the project is complete, you will receive either an Update (Good) or Update (Bad). Right click the update and choose " schedule for upload" when near a pc. Make sure to present the project in the BTS article and explain how it will benefit players and how it is a great thing, regardless of its actual state. Talk to the design team leader. 4. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but why is everyone using darklight when holy water drops TD's shield right off the bat? It's a nightmare to make, sure, but most seem to be failing by very small margins...
  5. ... Please, 'learning' to kill a boss is not something worthy of "put in the effort to achieve your goals." The people who are complaining about this requirement (of which I am not one) have no problem with putting effort in - they've already obtained the comp cape several times with the traditional requirements, which required far more effort than a little rs 'pvm'. Most of these people are complaining about the nature of these latest reqs, which are dissimilar to what the comp cape used to stand for. To be frank, those people have a stake in this discussion - do you? If not, maybe you should think twice before putting them down by suggesting they are not willing to put the effort in. It was a mistake to have the Completionist cape not require many if any boss kills in a game where the primary focus is combat. People definitely have a right to complain, but complaints should be directed at Jagex for trying to retroactively add in requirements, not because those requirements exist.
  6. It would be a lot better if the overrides had anything to do with the gear at all.
  7. Am I missing something or is repairing t90 armor going to cost as much as simply buying a new set?
  8. 2 bank booths 'won' (let's be honest, they were probably close to, if not 100%), and many xp lamps. Might as well have given me Huge xp lamps every week.
  9. Divination wasn't even needed as a standalone skill. It would easily fit into prayer as a moneymaking branch of the skill, with the energy gained being used for inventor. Divination as a skill is as integral to the rest of scape as a beach episode is to an anime series.
  10. I'd rather them address the fact that all lvl 90 gear looks like tacticool nerf weapons with an inordinate amount of spikes.
  11. When we step from a real life setting to a game setting, shields become far less desirable. Without the top priority being survival, offense dominates because you no longer have to worry about the penalties of being hit. Even if shields were buffed, the primary focus would still be to maximize kills per hour, and that won't change unless death becomes a serious concern.
  12. Then what? Shovelling away a group specifically because it has disabilities is in my eyes disrespectful. Especially when it might be a valid concern. Some disabilities does restrict certain content. For example, I found myself unable to do fight caves properly in pre-eoc due to that big importance of hearing the sound to determine the attack that Jad will do. As a near deaf person, I couldn't hear it and hence was almost always defeated without even seeing the healers. Back then, the animations happened after the sound, so for the best reaction, most players relied on the sound. So you would propose making "The Final Boss" a comp requirement? Surely killing it a hundred times must be? If everything in the game is made accessible to those with the worst disabilities, being disabled becomes a requirement to get any sort of challenge. You sacrifice the majority to serve the minority.
  13. I can't max most skills because they bore me to suicide... should I be exempt from them so I can get the completionist's cape? :o I don't have the 'skills' to get completionist's! Get it? Wooooooooooo I crack myself up. Bored is different than actually impossible for you to do. So physical issues are more pressing/important than mental ones? Cool. That's not a mental issue, that's a choice. While you can choose to max, you cannot choose to be good at pvm, you can only choose to practice which doesn't guarantee anything. They are very different.
  14. The biggest problem with Runescape's combat is twofold. The first is the fact that combat has been, and still is the same since the game's earliest days. Eoc is nothing more than a bunch of special attacks and a 10x increase in damage and health. Weapons have no identity, and combat is solely based on what style you're using, and what abilities you bring. The second problem is Jagex's unwillingness to upset the norm. We saw this in pre-eoc with melee's dominance in almost all things. Melee did not remain powerful because it should be, it did because players were settled in with a flawed system and didn't want change. The game stagnated and issues that needed to be fixed were left alone.
  15. People always look to justify their decisions, and Runescape is no different.
  16. Kalphite King is the sum of many bad concepts: 1hko attack does not add challenge, it prevents solos. This is the only reason it functions the way it does. The dig attack takes far too long, similar to why I dislike fighting wyrms. The minions clutter the screen, and only serve to trip resonance at the wrong time.Kills take too long, and are usually dragged out by the KK's healing aura which seems to have almost no cooldown period. The biggest offender is definitely the mage phase. Runescape is a point and click game, and on top of that, has an asinine .6 second delay before any and all actions. The bubbles explode too fast, do too much damage, and on top of that bind the player. The bubbles are not a threat because they take practice to avoid, they're a threat because of the constraints of the game.
  17. I always wanted agility to play out as a secondary combat stat anyways. Rename Agility to "The Force". Backflips, wall runs, somersaults, fantastic leaps, and edge-of-your-seat tension abound in the greatest combat skill everyone hates to train.
  18. Let's not pretend that the biscuits aren't the real prize here.
