It doesn't matter who uses a pie, the only reason your playing is to have fun and hope for some drops. I have used pies before, there is nothing wrong with it.

Whatever gives you the best prayer bonus. I wear a sara mitre, prosylyte top and bottom, zammy book and bandos boots (one from each god so I dont get attacked once I first get in the dungeon). You can also bring your holy wrench (from great brain robbery quest) to give you extra points when you drink a prayer pot. I did the pie thing once, its not bad at all. GL on it! Also, don't let anyone tell you not to pie up, because several people told me not to, but I did it any way and had alot fun doing it! :

I think prayer is going to help you quite a bit if you get it up. Like someone said above, the bosses do hit you hard.

You're right about that, people usually quit but always end up playing again or chatting on Tip.it :D

I would leave Summers end till one of the very last ones. I LOVE doing quests, but this one made me not want to do any for a long while. To me its worse than Mournings End part II. While Guthix Sleeps is not bad at all, you just have to make sure you are prepared well for the last fight.

No you dont, you just need to go through the little house north of yanille (by cutting the webs), pray at the altar once down there and you will fall into the poisonous spider pit. Once in there, just look for a crate and search it and youve got your clue.

I think my favorite place is varrock. I am P2P, but I always had a great time here when I first started playing in F2P. Lots of shops, and of course the G.E. :

I defenietly pick them up. The only time I really don't pick them up is when I am trying to get through a kalphite task really fast (the low level ones) cause they only drop like 1-3 coins at a time. When slaying, I am one of those that pick up other peoples coins. It REALLY adds up!

The varrok armor is always useful, you get 2 ores sometimes from one rock. Free xp for mining just one rock. I think in the long run, it does add up. Especially since I know how you feel in detesting mining, very slow and boring! :D

I'm not being sarchastic or anything, but try right clicking the pickaxe and 'use' it with the area. Also like someone else said above, make sure you are clicking the right side of the rocks.

Pretty much any food sells. Ususally not immediately, but it will sell over time. People always need cooked food quickly for various things.

Since you are into crafting you could go to the rogues den ( under the bar in burthrope) and thieve the safes, they give alot of gems and you would be training theiving at the same time. :
