Don't feel bad, I am just as unlucky as you are. I do it every day and I have gotten nothing!! Yea, you might have missed a step because sometimes it says to pick up a mirror in the middle of placing them. You will probably have to pull the collector and start over. This quest took me a while to do because I had to do the same thing.

For most of these methods it is trial and error. With the way prices flucuate, its better to do a little math yourself to see which method will work for you and find something that you will not get bored of. :

I wasn't playing at the time of RSC, but I would defenitely say # 3. This higher levels you get the more you can do which makes playing alot of fun. Although, when I first started it was SO much fun because everything is brand new and exploring the map was the greatest!

If you have access to the enchanted water tiara (after Dealing with Scarabas quest), this is an awesome help. You just put water runes into it and it will give you a huge number of charges, saves alot of space in inventory. Not sure if this is what you were looking for though. :

You can defenitely do green dragons without prayer. Aviansies are great, but green dragons you can make money faster, and you will be closer to a bank than in the GWD.

Yea, they stop leaving you alone around level 127 i think.

Are you going to mine your ores? Or buy them? If you are going to buy them, I would suggest buying small amounts at a time, making them into bolts, and reselling them to GE to use that money to buy more ores and repeat. Honestly, I'm not sure how much money you would loose or gain. It would really depned on the current prices of ores. I haven't checked them in so long. Sorry not much more help.... :

Not sure if this is in the right section, but this is what happened. I have a mastercard debit card that I have my runescape subscription on. It has worked for the years that I have been playing. Then all of the sudden this month, it wouldn't renew. My days of credit kept getting lower and lower, so I called the bank to see why it wasn't going through (I have money in there). They said that it is a law now that noone can do "online gambling" and mastercard won't let you pay for it. I told them that there is no gambling in Jagex at all. So now I have to buy these pay by cash cards to pay for it. I have had problems with my bank before, and just wondering if this is actually a new law, or is this just my bank being a pain? Any input would be much appreciated and thanks for reading!

Look at the weekly and montly price guide of the item on runescape website. This will alot of times tell you if its been dropping lately and you can kind or guess what its going to do next.

Sumona is great for ones who don't like duradel. She gives tasks that are pretty easy and fast to complete. She also gives alot of tasks in the slayer well right near her. Hope this helps! :

My first dragon drop was a sheild half from slaying black dragons.

Believe it or not, I love getting hellhounds. I love the clue scrolls and the charm drops. I can finish all of them in one trip, but I usually get about 3-4 clue scrolls per task of them. So I leave to do clue and come back. I make good money this way. I also love dusties and iron dragons.

Usually the only thing that I gather myself are fish for cooking and eating. I used to gather so much more, but the higher leveled you get, the quicker you want something to get it done. So for most other things except for fishing, I buy it. Also, I buy pure essence, but I make my own natures and laws. :
