  1. are we even talking pure anymore? if i got purely def and the hp xp that comes with that ill be 79 range, 79 cb, 71 hp, and 44 prayer.. i know im not pure yet but at 91 range i could be back again as i was saying. but in that case what will i be? at 91 range i could probably be accurate enough to use the rune chainmail, full helm, d'hide chaps and vambs, and still be awesome in world pvp at 79 combat? rune pures would be 2 levels lower then me in combat saying that they're str is my level in range and they'll only be 40 atk which means im faster and more accurate even though they can hit higher. all in all ive done one of these 1. ive either messed this account up and have like 2 years of work ahead of me to get it fixed to be range tank 2. ive messed this account up completely for 2h/ranger 3. ive stumbled onto something nice and just keep getting range up i really dont wanna make another main cause txxxt5 is really boring in f2p right now and thats not what i wanna do with xturtx

  3. i think jagex thud give f2p herblore...its a socy skill and no1 likes it(well no1 i kno) and f2p only has tht free potion tht does nothing from apoacher and str pot. and this could also raise prices for herbs cuz f2p cant kill anything 4 em :thumbsup: Why do you think no one likes it? Because it costs so much money and you cant turn a profit. With your idea, herb prices go up, potions go down, and the skill becomes worse. Fail. whoa whoa wait... he might be on to something... if the herbs go up in price wont the people be want to make potions less? in turn making the potions go up too, only f2p that have lots of money will want to make the potions. the con to all this though is all of the 2ndary ingrediants... f2p would be hard to obtain these, and also the quest would have to be moved probably since its required to do herblore and its in a mem only place
  4. im 99.9586940299 percent sure rune pics require 40 atk to weild... my tank has enough mineing to use a addy pic axe and he cant weild it...
  5. what do you mean 0 fletching exp from making arrows? you get xp from arrows even though its very small lol. but yea that is a good idea. even makeing our own arrows would be awesome. bows are easy enough to buy from the g.e. arrows are alittle harder to find. even bronze arrows i sometimes have to wait for like a day to get and then shoot :/
  6. i completely agree with this. though addy arrows are a partial agreement seeing that members might make these to profit. But maple and green d'hide are usually used to alc. IF these were put into f2p then they would go down in price since the demand went down and be worth it to alc (or atleast a slight loss of money to the alcer) I doubt members will give f2p green drags but theres always hopeing :) the alc thing goes for the maple bows too. maple longs are where mems start to string and alc cause it actually starts to be worth alcing (unlike maple short and below) i really dont see the wrong in giveing us the low fletching. If f2p starts to fletch they'll see how awesome it is and move to members to do more things. This isnt taking fletching away for members.. it would be advertising it as all skills do. the only skill thats close to 100% f2p is mineing but even that is easiest on mems cause of the blast furnace
  7. ive usually used d'hide legs..never did dragonslayer so usually either wear rune chain or monk. then i wear rune full helm, dhide vambs, maple short bow of course, and either holy symbol or power ammy. i have really never been afraid of mages but it was just a question cause i could throw a fireblast at a meleer wearing rune. but i didnt know if since id be wearing stuff that - from mage atk then i didnt know if it would be real useful
  8. dunno if im bringing this back to life or not but i just want to say.. if this is so why dont we get the lower level fletching...even steel and willow would be nice to balance things out... i say this because you said most melee cant make rune... no mage can make their best runes.. shouldnt it be range cant make their best arrows? for real i dont really know any members that make steel and below arrows, they do mithril bolts, and addy through rune most of the time. edit- didnt read whole thing till now and i do support the npc fletcher...that would be AWESOME, but for the g.e i suggest letting arrowheads, and arrowshafts be tradeable so incase someone either doesnt want to make arrowshafts or have the smithing level to make the arrowheads then can buy from their and then go to the fletcher
  9. nevermind...ive said enough lol. but i would like to say the lesser spell might be alittle low? in past accounts ive been able to level to 55 mage in 2 days time easily. Is teleblock really came down to just that little bit of leveling? Could maybe take off a couple cash/cast or raise the accuracy alittle if you did that in the name of keeping both parties happy. even though were not really getting "their teleblock" lol

  11. wow i didnt think a statement could be more ignorant (btw i said ignorant not stupid) 90% of my tank's fights on f2p could have been ko's if we had teleblock even for the limited 30 seconds. once they tried to run i always am able to bind them multiple times but after the 2nd bind and their a couple hits from dead they tele. Id be alot more motivated to pk if they had this skill. i support fully. as long as they give us the lesser like they did with the bind spells. oh and i just saw how much lesser cost... holy cow umm can we make it cost less? the regular costs a death, chaos, and a law. your gonna make people go broke with a couple casts lol, if you want it to cost more then regular just make it 2 laws, 2 chaos, and a couple body's. cosmic? why are they in there anyway... they enchant stuff, yea teleblocks sorta like that but if you really want them in there i suggest use them as a replacement for one of the others. I can tell you don't have either 1: A good pure with good stats 2: Good at k0ing abilities. If you are failing k0s, then you are a bad Pker. Sorry, but I'm calling a spade a spade. Sure, they might teleport after a few binds. Why exactly are you binding? And the casts costing too much? Sorry, but if 1k is too much, you should not be PKing. Once again, I've gotta call a spade a spade. You can try to use ignorace, stupitity, denial, and simply anger as a weapon. I choose not to. what do you mean 1k? im fine with casting 1k spells... add up all the runes he put on the lesser spell though.. thats kinda crazy compared to the regular teleblock. Mind you i would pay it if thats what jagex gave us but wow lol. im binding because 1. im f2p and thats the strongest i can use... 2. their running to a safespot how in the world do u k0 when they run with like 5 lobs left... 1. you have probably the best timeing of a range/2h and awesome range and str levels 2. or you have a member account that can hit above 30 at lower cb levels with the better weapons without teleblock then f2p's hard to get a good k0 without them promising to d.m. and thats rare to find. people are smart and will tele/run if their loosing. oh and sorry for using any of those things u said but im just trying to make a point
  12. Getting prayer would basically turn me into a main -.- . Which seriously isn't what i intend with this character. - I guess I dont want to get prayer because then it can't POTENTIALLY be turned into anything in the future :mrgreen: . If i get 70 prayer straight away :shock: , then its stuck with it. Cant turn him into range tank or anything. Non of my characters have prayer. i find it a useless tool for PvP. not REALLY needed - In my eyes all it achieves is pointless combat levels, and hitting a little bit higher, and if your afraid of losing items without protect item... inwhich i am not lol. I really dont care about it 8-) correct me if im wrong but dont range tanks not have attack or strength? so how could u possibly turn it back into a range tank. cant really help you with pking... looks already like a main that hasnt bothered to get prayer yet
  13. why does everyone think its useless? wrote earlier about this. havent you ever had anyone teleport away from you and youve wasted like 20k just on that one person? yea some people have had failure at drops but ive yet to have a bad drop when im able to talk the person into sticking around and not being annoying and tele or running from me

  15. while i was mem (idk if this is true or not) i heard 2 people talking about games knecklaces breaking even or even comeing close to profiting. many people sell sapphires and cosmics at lowest ge cost so id think it might be actually true. craftings great on p2p anyway cause even after you are 99 you'll still use it. which cant be said for anything above other then herblore (expensive like others have said). range is nice but you need around 90 to actually make the cost worth doing them. last note on crafting: nice thing about this is banking the hide when dragon hunting, crafting and then selling which could get you to 200m xp fast+money

Heavy rod powerfishing is about 10k exp/hr faster in fishing, plus about 20k additional xp/hr in other skills. :P You will make less money at heavy rod fishing than at Shilo if you value your time at less than about 180k gp/hr. Otherwise, the time you save is worth more than the profit you lose out on. Furthermore, if you actually do make less than 180k gp/hr, then the time you save at Shilo isn't worth the money you lose out on compared to catching monkfish, so either way you lose if you fly fish. :shame: wow i lost out then... oh well that just means in less then a month of mem i could easily get 99 fishing+ have time to do otherstuff lol. i didnt do the xp/hour while i was at shilo but xp per day was calculated to where when i had to cancel my mem there was a month left of fishing there and id have the cape.
  17. watchtower? that i beleive was the easiest quest to do bar none... well actually restless ghost might have been slightly easier lol but yea do that one atleast to get the other clue done. regicide was actually worth it. it does take some time and patience but you can also get crystal items over there so that slew of quests in elf land as i call it are welll worth it

  19. fastest way of fishing? i doubt that lol. i never tried leaping sturgeon but at shilo village trout and salmon fishing is the best xp by far. yea sturgeon are worth more but in shilo the banks right there. barb fishing you either have to climb up to the gnome tree and upstairs or go down the hill and bank at the minigame. im not mem anymore so can someone calc the difference in xp and money gained per hour with each? im so gonna hate myself if shilo doesnt win lol.. i trained from 60-8..whatever i have at that place :/
  20. i feel like experiements would be almost like flesh eaters in f2p though? cause all id do is get thousands of bronze or iron arrows and camp till there till my mouse stoped working, maybe im thinking too much of range? thinking it should get like 75k exp/hour+? idk lol
  21. When you step out of melee range of a dragon, it switches over to its ranged, fire breath attack. If you've got both an anti-dragon shield and an antifire pot, it will only hit 0s, leaving you able to easily throw back spells or bolts without taking damage. Watch your health and the chat; once it starts hitting damage or you see that your pot has run out in the chat, drink another dose quickly. If you catch the message that says that it is "about to run out!" then just get ready to drink another dose and wait for it to run the rest of the way out, to conserve your potions. so...hypothetically...If i brought an inventory of anti-fire pots and anti d fire shield, i would not have to use prayer for the whole time i was down there? Forgive my noobishness in the ways of the metal dragon. to break it down for you so you can understand they are big fat lazy heavy dragons... they arent gonna try to follow you and melee if they can just range you. oh yea if you havent used anti fire pots before... you pot up fight till you start taking damage then pot up again... ull get hit 0's as long as the pots are working. oh and 10 should really be fine.. bring like 5 monk fish incase u get hit on route or those times u get hit when ur pots stop working. range advice... bring emerald (e) bolts or higher with best crossbow you can get. my main was mem and with his range he did pretty good with emerald (e) so they'll be a peace of cake with ur range lvl
  22. this hasnt been asked i dont think so here it goes... what is the best range training in p2p without doing alot of quests. ive heard yaks are great but it requires fremmy trials i beleive which means id have to get atk and str. these skills i really cant train on my tank. and i think someone else said experiments but ive trained on them and it gets real boring haveing them spread out. want 91 fast and f2p seems like its takeing some time with that so thats why i wanna spend maybe a month or 2 in mem. Also i did get a dragon suggestion from a friend but are blues (or blacks if i can find a good non crowded spot) that good with training? edit: dust devils...cant beleive i forgot about them lol thanks toast. and from what my main being 53 slayer and not working very hard at it when it was mem i should have 1-65 slayer pretty quick on my tank ranger... one question about slayer though, ive read its not all that great to get it with completely range (i could do some mage since its a tank but no atk or str) can anyone say this would be a bad way to go? or is range fine with slayer?
  23. yea not all f2p want everything.. some would love for pvp to be actually fun without haveing runners/teleporters messing us up but that seems like its never gonna happen and its always possible, unlike what someone said about too many mem skills needed, nah it would run alright without all those mem skills. fletching reallly is the only skill thats needed for rangers to prosper. otherwise mage would rule sc f2p lol
