Well, got word today that a new job will be calling me in the next day or two. It's almost double the pay but... IDK. I love the people I work with now. Brittney I've known since grade school. We were close - when I went to her house a couple years ago, there was still a picture of her and I dancing at our grade 8 graduation in her living room. Our group is: - Brittney, 24, Canadian. - Kandy, 47, Canadian. - Luis, 24, Cuban. - Manpreet, 23, no idea. - Rob, 36, Canadian. - Sandy, 23, no idea. - Stev, 24, Canadian. We're a really unusual group, but we get along like best friends. Saturday we all went to the bar. Listened to some amazing bands, danced, and drank. Was great to meet some of their significant others (while the one wasn't sucking on my face...). Saw a few of my really old friends there. Everyone had a blast up until a few couldn't hold their liquor anymore and had to leave. >.< We'll be going out again this Saturday. I should take a few pictures and videos. :D.

Because that just makes so much sense. >.<

His PC was able to boot up before hand. He removed the "new old" card and it still won't turn on - I don't think it's the PSU.

I've not checked the (DISCUSSION) - Update Teasers (you can't post [ or ] in a link now?) thread yet today, but seeing as how every time I sit back down and refresh the page, it says I have several notifications of posts in that thread. So I'm assuming there's talk of RuneFest going on there. I like the idea of another thread. Excited to see what people have to say about it!

For those interested, the calculator is finished and released in the Special Calcs menu. It's the Max Hit Calc. Opening your browser console will show all the nitty-gritty behind the calculator when it makes a successful calculation. I made sure that the following do not affect bleeds: - Critical - Prayer - Void I had to guess for the Asphyxiate damage multiplier as it's not specified in-game. Its equivalents for melee and ranged are 219%, and after plugging that value in it looked right. I may have to edit Slaughter. It's 3x mechanic didn't seem right. Its max hit without moving is a total of 3715 in this setup. Of course, we divide this by the 4 hits it deals. This gives us 928.75. So if we were to move the monster, according to its description, it'd multiply by 3 giving us 2786.25 every hit. This didn't seem right, so I left out the 3x. Is it correct? Should I re-add the 3x? Anyways, cheers and thanks for the help! @Stev

I don't understand your logic. There's risk with everything. Can I not say that playing baseball is little to no risk of injury simply because risk is present? Either it's there or it's not? I've never said that it's not fine buying from Jagex. However, for the average-Joe third-party is still far more appealing. It's cheaper. The only benefit is, like was said, that the money will be reinvested into the game. However, how much did SoF add to their income and their worth-while updates since have been... Vorago? When you buy other things, let's say a vehicle, do you buy it directly from the manufacturer? Do you ensure that you buy it new from a Ford dealership, paying (for lack of a better term) out the ass, for the sole reason that your money (as if you alone make a difference) will be reinvested and improve your next vehicle purchase? Also, saying that I don't think it'll work is going crazy? OK, then they're selling "wealth". Their sole purpose is to allow people to buy an item to sell to another player who has enough in-game wealth to spare for membership, RuneCoins, spins, etc. No one buys them (for $) for the membership, RuneCoins, and spins (again, because they'd be getting 1/2 the product/service for their dollar). Would various companies (two that I know of) being almost entirely sold out of stock be a good enough indicator? I can tell you, they're (those two at least) doing fine. -

You're right, I am speaking under my moderator banner. However, you seem to think that because I'm a moderator that I can only argue, debate, and put forward facts for Jagex' benefit and completely forget about the other side of the coin. Sorry, I won't. People can get much cheaper gold at little to no risk - that's a fact. I don't care if your title is green, red, purple, blue, or white. It's a fact. So are the other facts that I've mentioned. Therefore, I don't see Bonds putting near the size of dent in third-party RWT companies wallets that Jagex believes. Again, my position doesn't influence that. However, I've never said people should buy gold elsewhere or encouraged them to, I'm saying that they could. I'm putting forth reasons why I don't think Bonds will be successful in eradicating third-parties. Or, should I put on my blinders, blindly follow Jagex, believe every words they spill (because their word has proven to be so incredibly reliable in the past), and think/know/argue that we'll soon be seeing the best possible outcome for Jagex. How about that permanent bot nuke (v1 v2 v3 v4 v5 v6+)? -

I could see people willing to pay a bit more for some extra level of safety. But double? Seems a bit excessive when they were getting away with it fine just weeks ago. I just can't picture it. If Bonds somehow reached a decent $/M, even remotely close to third-parties, then absolutely. The ratio is just too terrible and unless something changes, I don't see Bonds rising. :(. -

Whether or not I support third-party RWT is irrelevant. I'm not a lemming of Jagex just because my name is written in green. I have my own views, as does each member of our staff. However, I keep my RuneScape life, what ever it may entail, separate from the work I do here on Tip.It and it doesn't in any way affect the job that I do, as Kim pointed out. I'd like to focus on this. What exactly are the benefits? A higher cost? "Safety"? Think of it from an average-Joe standpoint. My name's now Ben. I'm tired of having dry Nex runs and could do with an extra 100M. I can either pay $80.00 and get it from Jagex; having to go through the hassle of selling Bonds and buying them one at a time, or I can get a cash stack of 100M in 15 minutes from a reliable third-party for $32.00. What benefits did I miss out on? I'm Ben. I don't give a damn who gets my money; I got the same product for half the price. I'm sorry, but these benefits apparently aren't at all obvious to me. As for my other questions, they still stand. Aiel mentioned buying gold through a third-party to be "immoral". Why? Prior to Bonds, you'd have answered with, "Because it's cheating. People are using the IRL wealth to buy their way through the game, making it unfair for everyone else, which is against the ToS." Now that Jagex supports buying your way to the top, what's so immoral about it? As I said before, I see Bonds opening people's eyes to RWT. People who otherwise wouldn't have thought about it are now thinking, "Hmmm. I can buy some gold and get a Nex set." Then they Google and/or talk to friends and... "I can get GP for 50% off at Website_X!" -

Technically bots don't introduce new gold into the game. They also introduce items which are later sold for gold. :P. Buuut, that's a different conversation all-together. -
I added the ranged calculator to that page tonight. Didn't have much time, so didn't get around to the magic. Sorry. I also haven't added critical, but that literally only takes a second. I'll write this as my reminder. :P.

TBH, what was the big problem with RWT in the first place? The fact that it went into someone else's wallet? People can, and have always, bought their way to the top. Jagex now endorses it, so long as it's done through them. But why? What was sooo broken about the economy that Jagex had to poke their nose in and officially support RWT? What has been fixed in the economy since Bonds' release? I've known dozens and dozens of players who have RWTed using a third-party. Some buying only a few M, others buying and selling a few B. When it came to a company, none of them were scammed. None of them lost their credit information. They are a company, a business, and they have a reputation to uphold. After-all, a reputation is the main attraction for a RWT company. So, what's changed since Bonds were released except for the pocket the money goes into? -

I'm not so sure. By lowering prices they'd appeal to more people but there's no guaranteed sale. They can raise their prices to anything < Bond cost and they'll still be favored by people who've RWTed using third-parties in the past. I think as it sits, Jagex is $0.83/M. Sites I know of are as low as $0.32/M (some slightly lower). They don't need to lower their prices more to be more appealing; they're already less then half the cost. So at this point, raising gold prices would be beneficial for them, since if I were to RWT and be stuck between a Bond and third-party, it's already an easy choice. -

Well, with the release of Bonds, Jagex expected the price of third-party RWT to rise. According to them, the RWT companies were going to struggle with loss of income and raise their gold prices to make up for it, therefore adding their own final nail to their coffin. -

Looking at various gold sites.. Even the unpopular ones.. Gold prices haven't changed even by a penny since the release of Bonds. Hoookay that Jagex. They're sure struggling, alright. -
Look about right? totalDamage would be the main focus. That setup being what I sometimes wear to Tormented Demons, a maximum Assault of 3.9K sounds about right to me. (Edit: 4K after adding 8*strength boost). [spoiler=Variable explanations]abilityDamage - The base amount of damage to be done by a given ability. Explained here. abilityMultiplier - The multiplier provided by the ability. Example: 219% for Assualt. abilityName - D'uh. armourDamage - The sum of damage values of all armour pieces. is2H - If the main-hand weapon is a two-handed weapon. isBleed - If the selected ability is a bleed. False if not, the number of bleed hits if so. isDualWielding - If two weapons are selected. meleeMultiplier - The damage multiplier provided by the user. meleePotion - The potion number. 1 is a strength potion, 2 is a super strength, etc. prayerMultiplier - Damage multiplier provided by prayer. prayerName - D'uh. shieldDamage - The damage value of the off-hand. shieldMultiplier - The damage multiplier based on the off-hand speed. shieldSpeed - D'uh. strengthBoost - The total number of boosted levels due to a potion. strengthLevel - D'uh. totalDamage - The user's maximum hit. totalMultiplier - The total multiplier. Included void and prayer (if not a bleed ability) and meleeBonus. voidBonus - 5% if a void set is detected. voidPieces - How many void pieces are detected by ID. weaponDamage - The damage value of the weapon. weaponMultiplier - The damage multiplier based on the weapon speed. weaponSpeed - D'uh. It automatically detects all possible void combinations. Prayer and Void do not affect bleeds, which you'll see in the code. It takes into account if your off-hand isn't of the same class. It takes into account that potions, prayer, and void do not affect bleeds. shieldMultiplier and weaponMultiplier are the multipliers based on speeds. My calculations are as follows: if(is2H) abilityDamage=(strengthLevel+strengthBoost)+weaponDamage*weaponMultiplier+armourDamage; else if(isDualWielding) abilityDamage=1.5*(strengthLevel+strengthBoost)+weaponDamage*weaponMultiplier+shieldDamage*shieldMultiplier+1.5*armourDamage; else abilityDamage=1.5*(strengthLevel+strengthBoost)+weaponDamage*weaponMultiplier+1.5*armourDamage; totalMultiplier=meleeMultiplier+(isBleed?0:voidBonus)+(isBleed?0:prayerMultiplier); totalDamage=(abilityDamage+abilityDamage*totalMultiplier)*abilityMultiplier/(isBleed?isBleed:1)+(isBleed?0:8*strengthBoost);Yeah yeah, I could have condensed it. I didn't initially (had it all in a single-line formula), but I have to make it easy for fellow Crew to edit later on if need be. :P. If you'd like to play around with it, the link is: [Removed draft link] Open your console (F12 for Chrome and Internet Explorer, Ctrl+Shift+I for Firefox) to see the variables used and their values. You'll only see results in the console if you have a melee weapon searched. All I've done is melee so far. I believe all I have to do to finish melee is make sure abilities are valid with the selected weapons. For example, not allowing Assault with a Bandos godsword. Edit: Forgot, I have to add 5% to abilityMultiplier if !isBleed because of critical. :P.

Ah, I was hoping that you may have known some of the values. You can clearly see the damage value change in your off-hand tab of your loadout when you equip different books, but you can't tell the base damage because with no off-hand equipped the tab is impossible to see. :P.
