I'm pretty sure this isn't the update for the week- no front page update- and they did say that weekly updates can sometimes be delayed until wednesday But any1 know if there will be more to this event later this week? (pretty sure it was just a small thing to be fun, and it was.... as for people saying its pointless.... remember its a holiday event - which is a bonus to the game) And, they're probably going to release the next elf quest - this is not based on any facts, just my theory BUT if i am right, i so called it : D

Articles were ok this week, second one didn't really expand on the topic too much... first one was pretty good though

Great articles this week, i particularly liked the first one, and he offered some good solutions But i have to say, i'm not a fan of players putting up there solutions to a problem, even if it seems good up front, you never know the full effects of an update until its enacted the second one was good too, and as for the dyk : p it was clever, but not great (not too interesting for me lol)

In the quest guide for "The Throne of Miscellania" the guide mentions the fact that you can not give the princess a magic bow (in the part where you attempt to get her to marry you.) I recently found out :wall: that apparently she will not accept compound bows as well. All though this is a minor change, I'd appreciate if someone could provide me with pics please. Also, i only tried a yew compound bow, I'm not sure if other types will work or not.

i appreciate the thought, but i think that jagex just updated it (most recent updates actually) but if any1 wants to check for me you can, please provide a pic if the problems still there, thanks :)

try it with lower levels turned off on the details menu - it won't show up

i'm guessing update is going to be mobilizing armies, but didn't they promise that in december? and if it is.....they delayed it another week?

also as a note, this is only with seeing lower levels turned off(not being able to see hopper)

I'd highly recommend making these notices, and any mod or anyone who wants to check (and/or get screen shots for me) can go back to the island by talking to the starting pirate (pirate pete right?) So once again please check this out.

I have no proof for this (no idea how to take a picture), but during the quest rum deal if you play on low detail the hopper is impossible to see (you cannot see lower levels therefore it does not show up, unless you happen to move the mouse over it) I suggest that this should be pointed out in the quest guide. Also, the guide says that the ladder to go upstairs is in the northwestern corner of the room that you start off in, it's in the southeastern corner of the room. I'll get photos if I can, but please check this out, thanks. :)

The quest and item were ok, i'm not a huge fan of either (holiday events always leave me a little disappointed) The holloween event of 2008 was great though, didn't like the running around so much, but the setting of it was great. In my mind holiday events truly lack a point, you have an item that your excited about for about 5minutes, then it goes into your bank for a year or so ( and now that i've heard about it i'm jealous of anyone who got to do the 05 christmas event (that's the one everyone is saying is really good right? :lol: ) But having complained about it, it's time for my apology - i'd honestly rather have any holiday event, then no event at all - thank you jagex

While I agree it is impossible to please everyone all of the time, it is the obivious goal to please as many as possible, I personnally am completely content (well not really but ok with) the tweaks to the game, but i'm not exactly a huge fan of the new head. He know a year of tweaks is going to be unpopular (face it a lot of people are upset about it - if you are have a cookie =D> ) so he adapted being a very positive face of jagex (although i've never seen a picture ;) ) in my opinion (i'm sure many people disagree) the new upbeat face of jagex is because the update year would probably go over bad without the reaching out to the players. In my opinion, hes doing many things right, both in a business sense, and a player appealing sense.

i wouldn't mind dds, as long as they're posted frequently, you know like every monday or something like that......wait a sec that sounds like bts all i want to get out there is idc how big the update is, i just want to see it, and know when jagex will let us know about updates. also, saying that new postings will be like a blog.....really? that's a really dumb way of putting it particularly after saying that jagex will improve the game for the player, all i see in dds is jagex trying to get themselves more time P.S. i in no way trying to flame jagex, this is just my opinion

I don't care what updates are, or even how small they are i just want to have an update that they're there, even if some really insignificant thing- i like to hear it i really miss bts, they don't have to have a deadline set for things i just really want to know whats going on- and saying its like a blog!?!? thats rediculous it shouldn't be that jagex WANTS to post something, it should be jagex ALWAYS posts something FOR RS PLAYERS- this year is for tweaks- for the players, the head of jagex posted saying I want to make it the best for the players(true he stood with it for getting rid of adverts and i'm happy jagex did that for f2p) and yet jagex wants to post at their leisure - not for the players sake/wants - I try to understand jagex as much as possible, and i have never posted anything bad about them, but this is the the only thing i can say is selfish more player would like to see small stuff....then nothing at all! P.S. sorry for sounding very critical of jagex, i truly appreciate them and their work

I wasn't a big fan of the article on friends in rs, it was kinda drawn out, and with the line "does jagex expect us to have 100 or 200 friends?" i'm sorry but of course they do..... kinda obvious when thats the limit lol, but not to sound to critical the rest of the article was pretty good

Good articles, but the first one seemed almost like an attempt to kiss up, not that this guy seems bad or anything, but the article gave the image that this guy is flawless I say he does deserve our respect, that's for certain, but I think even if he reads this he'll see it as an attempt to suck up, the majority of the article was build up on everything he said, and praising every word Although even after saying that I can understand why this article would want to make a good impression of the guy, and make him seem great - make a good image of him in the beginning and it will carry on for most of his career

Even though death isn't quite as serious I still think it's somewhat a big deal But i remeber before gravestones I would wait at the dark wizards circle near Varrock, and wait until someone died :twisted: that,s actually how I got my second rune plate (that was a big deal being non mem + no GE)

I like the article this week - mass banning one was one of the better ones I've read in a while good job But I have a question who can I contact if I want to suggest a did you know for the next tipi it times?

What I think would be a key thing to point out is the map when you open it up in a dungoen or something it takes you to lumby they have it snap there so you won't seee the "hidden plane" your on

I really thought that the mass banning article was really good for once its an article that's not nearly as critical towards jagex good job but the diversions one i thought wasn't that great i don't think it stuck to topic enough but it was ok not a fan of the fiction writings so i didn't read those but all in all good job

I like lumby, but my respawn is fally just never really bothered to change back By the way how do you change back to lumby lol i never even bothered to figure out how to change it back either

The articles were ok but they seem to be becoming a bit to opinionated, or in some cases the people seem to act like no-it-alls, now not every writer is like this but particularity the person who wrote the article about swearing (sorry didn't catch your name) seems to be a little critical of jagex, they're working on how old they want the players to be so let them be (also i didn't catch the entire subject of the article? was it about the sensor? the parents? the players?) Oh well that's all i have to say
