  1. i have to say i think quest cape is more impressive the thing about a skill cape is it is -1- thing with a quest cape it is tons of things and some quests aren't exactly easy to say the least Maybe some of the much harder skill capes are impressive (as mentioned slayer cb stats and agility) but in general i'd really have to say a quest cape is better having said that you can't really compare the 2 capes, with all the different levels of skill capes there can be almost no definitive answer can there? i say quest cape is better than skill capes unless it's slayer or cb stat capes i know that's not really debating but you can't really debate something like this can you? unless you see a quest cape topping every single skill, or all skill capes topping a quest cape (and i really haven't seen to many people like that)
  2. I don't think we're discussing someone who hasn't finished every quest when we talk about quest capes, the same goes for skill capes so i say there's no reason to compare them as partially done I say the quest cape is more impressive, it never really seemed like this before i realized how high you actually have to get your skills to finish every quest, and the exp combined can equal more than any skillcape, also once you get a skill cape you have a skill cape, unlike with quests where if Jagex decides to come out with another quest you have to do it to get you cape back I really have to say the skill cape is more impressive
  3. I like the monster hunting ones they're really useful but i don't really use them to often The most useful are the treasure trail ones for me i use them a lot, going for 3rd age armor the guy above me does a good job explaining my uses of a lot of guides
  4. I normally like articles by the tip.it times, but this one was not to my taste, it was a little to critical towards Jagex, and randoms aren't a very big part of the game, there fore i don't think that it's that big of a deal. i'm not a fan of randoms myself, but jagex increasing rewards can have a very big effect on rs, i get maybe 1 random an hour which means it isn't a big part of rs at all To sum it up i'd rather jagex works on almost anything else i'm sorry to disagree
  5. i have a few..... my first 10k....i remember it well....i was fishing on kamaraja for tuna, and i remember my real life friend agreed to help me lvl fishing by taking my inventory and selling to the general store then splitting the "profit" 50/50 (this was before ge and trade limits) after a while these trips built up and i had my first 10k another one is my first dharok set... i killed the giant mole (using tip.it guide :D of course ) i don't even have the faintest idea how many times, until i had 6mill (price at the time on ge) and then i finally had that armor set i went back and slaughtered that mole  Oh by far my favorite memory is my pure mage file -Buddy Santa- (yes that is the name) I remember before trade limits buying 5 full invos of toy horses and an invo of coal and giving those out as presents to all the good and bad girls and boys of rs.....in July lol it was so much fun i remember teleporting into lumby and typing gifts for all!!!! and merry Christmas!!!!!
  6. my short term goal is to get enough money to get back my guthans spear my longer term ones would be trying to get 3rd age armor from a clue or something else of high value, 99strength, and by the end of the year i hope to be able to solo gwd bandos (it will probably end up happening in that order)
  7. that article was good, very original idea, but one thing i have to say is that no matter what getting a 1mill + drop is at least semi exciting for almost anyone i don't think that dragon items have quite lost their touch, but there are other items people would much rather have having said that i have to say i'm completely jealous of your drops lol best thing i've ever gotten was a clue that gave me a zammy page -.- =/
  8. I liked the article but.... The intro about the dragon plate, jagex really did miss the timing on the d plate, but thats not to say that jagex really didn't do great this year but good job on the article in general :
  9. I really like this i mean the mini game is one of the better ones, and while training you have more motivation when you see bigger chunks of exp, and can get tons of exp quickly or at least it feel quicker if it isn't
  10. I'd probably keep playing but would be on an irregular basis, and then i'd realize it's pointless and quit
  11. Anyone know if combat armor also doubles hitpoints? But i'm so happy this came out i wasn't even playing while waiting for the update
  12. Good topic, it was an interesting topic very orginal
  13. Great guide but brutal green drags don't drop draconic visages (tip.it says at least) but if you've gotten them from them then its your chance to fix but anyways congratz on your guide good job
  14. i want the santa suit to come out early  prices of santa hats are going to go way up when it does also i hope the stealing creations update is soon anyone know when?
  15. i think they should replace the construction items with charms or some free exp item (lamps and such)
  16. I used to really like clues but after i did 3 level 3s in one day and i got about 30k from each i decided i wouldn't do them anymore the best thing i've ever gotten was altogether 75k (from 1) :wall: but if people really like them u should do them its not wether or not they're worth its just wether you want to do them or not
  17. when is this coming out? is it already out (November 25)?
  18. It doesn't seem all that likely that the dragonkin came before guthix does it? being the god of nature and such. also there's the fact they mention that the dragonkin were corrupted, and guthix is the god of neutrality so there seems to be a missing link of sorts there between guthix being a dragonkin then becoming a god however there still is a possibility, but it doesn't seem like they could be connected very easily (i have no idea how to explain the symbol perhaps jagex thought it was cool lol) If jagex does make a quest connecting guthix and the dragonkin it seems like it would just go that guthix had morals(and was one of the dragonkin obviously) and rose to being a god like how zamorak did, but then jagex would have to deal with the fact that he's the most powerful and ancient god (although i say zammy ftw =P)
  19. great thread, i haven't really paid much attention to rs history in quests (i have read about it outside of rs) but i've never really even thought about the dragon kin great idea to do something that's so unknown of (lol less criticism =P) I hope jagex expands on the dragon kin a little more perhaps it would be really interesting
  20. well yes if there was a controlled release it would work much better but if you think about it you'll just be copying range attack though if there is lack of abilities and it can hit higher neither suggestions would work well with out ruining the combat triangle you can't increase attack power without making draw backs(reducing or getting rid of special abilities) that makes it more like range you can't add armor without ruining the pure offensive abilities of mage there's almost nothing you can do to mage at this point, there's to many developments in the game also i don't know what i was or wasn't thinking suggesting armor
  21. No offense but please stop suggesting the new spell book.... the problems not power it's defense, the big complaint is defense, the reason why a mage can get taken down so easily? it's defense no matter how many times i say it it's all in the defense of armor, it shouldn't be spells, it should be armor a new spell changes a lot more than anyone thinks, jagex themselves releases something new, they know what will generally happen but, they are not sure about exactly what will happen, armor would cause the least repercussions, compared to a new spell
  22. I like the tip.it times they're pretty interesting most are pretty good, and writers know what they're talking about so i have no complaints
  23. They certainly do help balance it out 20 seconds is a lot of time in an actual fight namely in a 1on 1 fight that's enough time to get a few hits in and those hits can be critical to a fight i'm not saying mage is flawless but the power behind is supposed to be able to make up for the defense, and as i've said in many messages now -mage is purely offensive I agree mage defense is weak, but i disagree that the offensive abilities of mage are weak, and thats a point i want to make clear, and that's why you say mage is weak, because mage DEFENSE needs re-done not attacks/strength the thing about the contest between ,age and range, is true -the point of mage is not to get hit, magers can get hit while fighting a ranger and that's why they get "destroyed" I disagree with mage needing a new spell book, but that would almost ruin the triangle, maybe i could agree with another spell book IF it makes it almost EXACTLY like range, but then again why would we need 2 versions of range? that's alot like your suggesting, or at least it sounds like to me p.s. i like that no matter what i say you do have some logic about your arguments lol gives me something to think about =P
  24. you make some extremely good points lord troyus mage makes up for power with abilities mage and melee go better together than range and melee because like you said a meleer can control a battle easier and thank you for agreeing that you can't out eat a mage that's completely impossible
  25. lol i like how you edited that =P? do range and melee have as many specials as mage? thats what supposed to make up for hits and it is true with what you say about melee and range being able to hit higher, but as i said they don't have the special ability options it might not quite make up for it but mage isn't completely underpowered as you say it is but you can say you can "out eat" a mage but sorry i haven't seen that and that's all I'm saying please know one take offense to what I said its my opinion and that's all also mages aren't supposed to be good against range -triangle- mages aren't supposed to have high defence they are purely offense I agree a ranger can take down a mager with relative ease but its supposed to be that way
