  1. I don't really know what to say...
  2. I was going to reply to peg's post, but he'd be much better posting it in the God thread if he wants a proper debate. His arguments in that post are pretty much all fallacies.
  3. Haha that's pretty good.
  4. Some poeple seem like they have pretty cool careers in mind. Personally, I'm currently studying Geography at Univeristy, but I'm not sure what I want to do. Teaching is a possibility.
  5. That is an awesome analogy
  6. That's one sick, sick fetish you've got. Oh no, there had to be a sheep joke didn't there? <_<

  8. Aww I would have been keen if I still played...

Ok so if you weren't applying it to whales, then it wasn't really relevant to this thread. Though, I would almost agree with your point on "natural" extinction, it is almost impossible determine how much human influence affects this. Personally, I can't think of any species alive today that are under threat of extinction whose existience has been affected by humans at all. If this is the case, then it would be impossible for there to be any cases of "natural" extinction.
  11. I'm not. I'm keen to see some Aussie get taken down by the Kiwi's. Mwuahahaha
  12. Added new photos from a seperate trip.
  13. Nearly got there...Did better than me. Some pics of me from a trip to see some Albatross yesterday out at sea. [hide][/hide] [hide][/hide] My new Merino top, so warm :^_^: Oh and incase anyone wants to see the pictures from this trip, http://forum.tip.it/topic/255339-dolphins-and-albatross/

Ok your argument makes so little sense. Whales would not be dying out naturally if it was not for humans. In the past 200-300 years humans have hunted whales to the brink of extinction. Also it's abundantly clear that whales are NOT humanity's first priority, there are many, many, more issues out that that have been priortised over whale protection. And at the moment the human species is at no risk of extinction, unlike whales, so why would we need to put so much effort into ensuring our survival? The only reason they continue to struggle is because we continue to threaten their extisence faster than their populations can recover.
  15. Awww I got nothing, except my own facebook and some other random facebook pages. My father's name is shared by the IRA terrorist, Mike McKevitt. Which is interesting because my Grandfather on my father's side was from Ireland, so we may be distantly related? Hmmm
  16. What's embarrasing about that? I prefer girls who are more hands on, not afraid to grab you, tickle or punch you. I prefer that over than more passive girls.

Cool? I did nothing today. But yesterday I had a Knowledge Bowl meet. My team got a tie for 12th place. My schools other team got a tie for 4th. This is out of around 30 teams by the way. I think we did good, because my team is all sophomores (so is the other one, except one junior) and most the the people there are juniors or seniors. We totally want shirts with our unofficial team name. Seafaring rapists (pirates). Is that like a general knowledge quiz sort of thing? Birds keep hitting the windows in our lounge and dining room, ever since we got them doubled glazed. I heard one hit the window just before, so I looked outside and noticed four dead birds on the ground. This window's killed more birds than my slug gun...

Nup, nothing special about him... How years has he been put up? just one? Still, he'll be 16 when he starts Uni? He was put up a year for being born before July (everyone born before July gets put up a year). So.. he was supposed to be in Year 10 last year, but was a Year 11 (my year). He was then put up another year for excelling, so he was studying subjects at a Year 12 standard in 2009. This year he will be studying Year 13 subjects and going to uni next year - yup, he'll be 16. Damn. Yeah my birthday is right on the cut off, so I could have been up or down a year. But I went up 8-) Just learn a string instrument. They're really easy with a bit of practice. I'm probably going to UCF in a year and a half, majoring in english or writing and minoring in music. I'd looooooove to major in music, but the industry's too much of a risk and only gets riskier and riskier the older I get. Man, I love it so much. I'm a huge theory-head. The music theory course in my school is notorious for being hard; it scares all of the band kids away. It's mostly filled with stupid guitarists that didn't know what they were getting into and didn't switch out and are now failing, and then the few decent musicians pulling A's and B's. I've had an A all year though  Then after that university probably over to a trade school to get a degree in game design, then over to Texas/California to try to land a job in the game industry. I'm so glad the game industry isn't too popular up north, I hate cold weather. 23 F outside, I'm so miserable right now >.< Music was complusary for my class when I was in 3rd form, so like 12/13 but my interest in music wasn't great, so I opted to take the easy route out like every who couldn't be [bleep]ed, and play recorder... Something I regret know lol. I do have an acoustic guitar, not that I ever really use it...at all.

What ? University level ? I dont think they actually teach what you've mentioned, because I had a look at the "outcomes" [very similar to ours] and that's not required [for New Zealand]. What you say is uni level, we've done in Year 11, some parts in the beginning of Year 12. Where did you get the idea that you need "electron pushing", molecular orbitals etc ... I've had a look at the courses and stuff offered and how it's structured, and it's much much better than Australia's system . There are a [bleep]load of courses and the credit stuff is better than our Highly Screwed Chance. There's like hundred of different "courses" instead of our only 25-30 which you do over two years. Whereas in NZ, more courses, segregated, and over a longer period. It's much more broken down, which is better. Funnily enough, some of the stuff that they're doing now we did much later, and vice versa. For example that carbon chemistry section contains stuff I did over 10-11. Wongtong, when can you take the levels 3+ ? It's funny you say that because NCEA has come under a lot of critisism since it was introduction in...'01...I think. And you generally take the levels in order, so Level 1 in Year 11, Level 2 in Year 12 and Level 3 in Year 13. Of course if you're good you can be put up a year for some classes. Also lots of students do one or two papers from a level above, say a Level one paper in Year 10, just to get some of the work out of the way. Sometimes it can caus epeople to be lazy and not sit external exams, because you need 80 "credits" to pass, including atleast 8 in Maths and English. But you can easily get 140-150 credits if you pass all the work you'd normally do, so some people can pass without having to do any external exams.

Patella? Wow how did you pass bio? Hah jokes... I don't think you have to do that until 6th form... Do doctors even that stuff anymore? I've never had it done, not that I've been to a "proper" doctor for years and years.
  23. Write all the formulas down. If you cant use notes on a test, program all the formulas into your calculator. If you don't have a calculator that can do that, buy one. Well there are probably less expensive ways to cheat... But it's not going to help you learn anything. I'm positive there is nothing wrong with your memory skills, or you would have struggled with learning across the board from an early age. I never liked maths much either and never really tried, but most of it is just practice. The more you practice using rules and formulas, the more likely you are to retain that information. Out of interest, why do you have to learn ASL?

I'm following your tweets now. I dont even know what the prerequisites are for science at my school, I think biology is the one with a high prerequisite... *worried* Thanks for advice, I'll only resubmit if there really is something wrong with it. And yeah.. I don't really care about NCEA Level 1, I'm just worried about NCEA Level 2. I better study more next year. >_< leetness, doesn't that mean you failed? You need 100 to pass. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine, an M and an E are good. And I don't think it matters that much, even if you failed you could probably apply and still get in. And I thought you only needed 80 to pass? Yeah, like 20 minutes. Did it in like 30 second sequences, switching between left and right and different positions. Nothing happened. :wall: Fastortoise, I took your advice and I still cant notice anything. Hahah does it really matter that much? And aren't you supposed to have a doctor do it? With a mallet kind of device? Suppose I should ask my stepdad...
  25. Haha smae here... Only part time though... I really only eat it when we get it free for doing well in Gap Busters. I can't really think of much I'd want at a fast food place, but here it goes... Lemon Chicken (Hungy Wok) Satay Yeah I haven't really got much else...
