I know, I want the slay cape so bad too, but I've gone 409 tasks in a row at the moment, (since smoking kills quest) and it's getting hard. I need to rc for a little while as I sold some of my armour for my partyhat lol. But, p hat has been my goal forever too, ever since I was a noob seeing one for the first time, and asking if the guy wearing it was the king of Falador lol. Don't worry, I'll get the slay cape, just give me like a month to get back to it lol 8-)

Well, I gave up on 99 slayer temporarily.... 2 levels off yet they seem so far. I sold some more stuff and bought a yellow partyhat. I'll be runecrafting for awhile, as I like the skill. When I get incredibly sick of it I will go back to slaying. I'm just so sick of task after task atm.... but it's where I'm at. I do like the new hat :)

OK, since I hit 97 slay last night, I decided to sell my drops I've been collecting since level 95. I'll probably save drops up until 99 slay now. Before: After: :thumbup: :thumbup: Still have 2.5m worth of stuff waiting to sell in the Ge.

OK, Huge accomplishment for me, Up next is the hardest level to get. My goal is 99 before easter. We shall see.....

I was so pissed until I finally healed a 20 and then hit a 19 for the KO. I was wearing bandos and felt kinda dumb at first but, really the pheonix is very easy to anyone who is scared im sure mike and most people will bring a stupid amount of prayer pots and food but it's not needed. :-# I had to drop food to pick up 3 feathers. P.S. Anyone got a pick of new pet's Jagex said chances of getting one are "very slim". To be honest, I read Jagex's words on the Phoenix "distraction and diversion", and I took it literally. I ran through the caverns 5 times, going up to the Phoenix chamber each time, then leaving the chamber, without killing the Phoenix. I was hoping that would increase my chances of a Phoenix egg, but it only made me frustrated. I then decided to follow the directions they gave us, and killed the phoenix, and then left. I didn't hit the luck of the draw, and get "lost" to find a phoenix egg, but it helped make me realize the fact that it isn't an easy given, and it may take some of us many, many days to get a pet that we may potentially want. ;) So, I am still waiting for the first phoenix pet to show up on these forums, and best of luck to the person that gets it first! Show us a screenie!

99 Prayer. I got it 8 or so months ago, but I sold everything I had, summed up to 120 Mil, and bought 50k dragon bones. I spent all I had on it, and used friends' gilded altars in their houses. It was the fastest leveling of any skill I have ever trained. It took me under 3 weeks to get from 70-99 prayer. I wish I took a screenshot of my 99 party, but I didn't even think of doing that kind of stuff then. But there you have it, I went broke getting it, and I've got rich slaying again. :P

Next stop: 500 8-)

Yeah dude, I consider that super lucky. I've been about 250 times and have only gotten Arma helm and shards. However I've had 2 SS in my first 14 solo Sara kills, so it evens out a bit.

Hey, I didn't read the entire thread. I just wanted to give my quick views on slayer. It is the most annoying slowest skill to level in the game. I like it though. It has got me 99 attack, defense, hp, range, and I bought pray because of it. I am at level 96 currently. I will be getting 99 strength soon too. Slayer is a good moneymaker, but best after level 85 I'd say. I've made about 230+ mil off slayer drops (including clues). But, slayer is definately not for all people. It takes so much persistance that it is very easy to give up. One of the main reasons I have made it this far is because I had goals to achieve during slaying. Aiming at all combat capes has made my journey through slayer much more gratifying than I'm sure it would be if I had max melee and a lower slayer level. After getting 99 slayer (which I plan on getting in the next few months) I will most likely be retiring from Runescape for awhile. It has been such a pain to get this far in slayer, and I have a feeling the next 2.5m xp won't come easy either. Love it or hate it, slayer is definately a journey worth taking, and I don't regret it at all.

slayers not all that great, 3m xp for 4 bows, 2 whips, and 3 boots. Do you wear wealth? Yeah, I wear wealth.. I don't believe the hype about doubting it. I have to credit some of my luck to it I guess.

Bank Pic, I have been saving drops since 95 Slayer. I am about 450k XP from 97. I will be saving until 99. I just wanted to help prove how great of a moneymaker slayer is.
