  1. One of the biggest reasons I rarely play now and am playing better games. This. The value of money is extremely low, and there's no incentive to make money. What would I do with it if I grinded something to make money? Spend it on resources to grind skills? Everything revolves around a grind, and so in the end it all seems pointless. That realization was what killed my interest in the game. This. There is no incentive as a high level to go on and play (unless you have the urge to max out skills). A new GWD type thing needs to be released. High level combat areas with high risk/reward are a constant must. I hope someday SOON they realize this, because most updates lately are geared towards training skill faster. I don't understand how THEY don't understand the need for high level repeatable content. People in this game like killing challenging things over and over. Look at corp beast. Full teams still go there because it's a great risk/reward piece of content. Meh. They gotta wake up.
  2. Yes, the bots massing from tree to tree and rock to rock was something that everybody knew about and was nothing groundbreaking. However, I never log into F2P servers, so seeing the amount of rwt adbots everywhere was a little "shocking". His point was well made, his point wasnt "Wow look how many bots there are" It was "Is this worthy of being the best F2P game in the world?" It isn't atm.
  3. Either way, have you any inkling of who the line-up of prospective buyers might be? Off-hand? No. I'm not close enough to the ground to know, for sure, who would be looking to this kind of purchase. There's a fair number of game manufacturers -- not to mention media empires -- who are all chomping at the bit to own a "highly successful" MMORPG. That said, I've been lobbing this theory out there since Jagex rigged set up the vote to return the Wildy and Free Trade into the game. All these little nudges and winks speak to me of an impending sale -- or at least a desire to sell -- of the Runescape franchise. That is amazingly possible, and makes more sense the more I read it. That will be interesting.
  4. Was there a bxpw announced? Or are you just planning for the inevitable...
  5. So much for quality repeatable content in the midst of summer vacation. They really have lost their way.
  6. All I'm saying is 15m xp in a week at 290k xp/h is over 7 hours a day while staying at max efficiency. Climate noted it was only 5 days so thats about 10 hours a day at max efficiency. I said props for that cuz it's more than I'll ever hunt. I hate hunter. But yea the last 2 days I'm sure he's doing something more interesting than runescape and I don't blame him.
  7. Breaks are healthy
  8. 16 hours a day for 2 years is unrealistic. As it is the 51 hours he did is over 7 hours a day at max capacity. Props for that.
  9. Lower your expectations for people lol. It's summer basically and they're only human. 50-55 hours is more than a full work week btw.
  10. 15m hunt xp in a week is flatline?
  11. Never said it was wrong, just a waste. I also find it hard to believe that it would be enjoyable a lot of the time ;)
  12. TBH (my opinoin), I hope nobody EVER spends enough time to get 200m xp in all skills. It is really such a waste of life (unless they are botting... :s) to spend YEARS in a game for a useless honor, prestige, goal.. whatever you'd like to call it. I have over a year of in game time spent on RS over my 8 years of starting this game, and that disgusts me. But that is besides the point. I'm not trying to preach what people should do with their lives and time, but honestly... the time that needs to be spent in game to legitimately get 200m xp in all levels is gross.. and shouldn't be promoted tbh. Most people in this thread (no, I haven't read the whole thing) are cheering on and encouraging these people to waste their lives for meaningless achievements. I usually preach and advocate freedom of choice and to do what you want during your short life, but I actually feel it's almost wrong to push these people to waste the majority of their days for this kind of thing. I honestly have a feeling (and hope) that NOBODY will waste this much time in their lives maxing out an account. Jagex even tells you to "go outside" or whatever after maxing skills. I dont know the exact quote, but I've heard you get a message sort of like that. My message to the few who are thinking about maxing all skills: DON'T. Life is too short to spend clicking in this game no matter how addicting it may be. Good luck and farewell.
  13. Requires 69 full days playing castlewars. NTY.
  14. I did it with an email I made specifically for it. I'm interested to see how long it takes before I start getting emails from other companies on it. Industry specific email lists are worth a pretty penny. I won't be surprised when Jagex sells it.
  15. Knox is one of the luckiest pvmers I know. Grats.:)
  16. Yea I was looking for nomad too. Looks like this will be a series of polls. I'm definitely voting nomad when his number comes up. Funny thing is that the "none of them" option is leading lol
  17. I'm not disappointed with anyone. I am however, thoroughly disgusted with some of the stuff I saw posted here last night. People who got banned for that stuff deserve it, and good riddance. You won't be missed. I get so sick of people offering advice with an iron fist instead of a smile. People taking pictures and posting them here to make fun of what they are wearing or how they are training. Spend the effort to offer them advice instead of publicly ridicule. If a handful of these people "quit" tif due to these bannings, then GOOD. Tip.it will go on.
  18. Lol everything cool happens while I'm at work.
  19. You're paying for a set allotment of time, not for the time you put in. So calculating ingame time has no bearing on monthly payment, seeing as you could pay 6$ and not play 1 minute that month.
  20. Paying 72$ a year to play this game, in addition to the cost of Internet, electricity, and initially a computer is enough for me. I wouldn't want to pay more whether it's bot riddled or bot free. Don't give Jagex any ideas on upping the price btw.
  21. Runescape is quite the interesting game.
  22. His solo corp using flowers vid was impressive. Don't really care he's quitting. If he was smart he wouldn't cause a scene about it so when he comes back he doesn't look so foolish. More bosses and skills will be released. I'm sure he'll be back. And lol that he's so young. He need's to go outside.
