I've explained before - SIMBA and SCAR remain open. The pandemic is over, the battle is won. The war, however, has just begun.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Hey, at least you didn't go from listening to nice soothing music to watching Saw traps from clicking the 'recommended videos' links.

'Trading' by definition involves receiving a good/service in exchange for a good/service. It is uncertain whether the act of rolling a dice outside of RS premises would be considered a 'service' - and thus by technicality it may or may not be considered RWTing. Personally I'd side with no though, since there's no obvious benefit to the act of initiating a dicing game - it only acts as a medium for ingame transactions. I'm having a little trouble explaining this concept, I apologize in advance for any confusion.

Which laws does the very act of dicing (in itself, without the association of RWT), or hosting dices violate?

Speaking of racism - I hate the fact that people don't even bother understanding terms before using them these days. 'Racism' entails prejudgement, or prejudice - an expression of superiority over other races on the basis of their skin colour or ethnic background, based on (often inaccurate) stereotypical assumptions ascribed to the entity that the individual belongs to. There's a subtle yet profound difference between racism (the act of being racist) to simply acknowledging that there are different ethnicities and cultures in the world. To digress; it's also saddening to see that people don't realise a simple fact that it's not the words that offend, it's the context that the user uses them that does.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Let's hope it lasts then.

I apologize for the poor implication - I'm not intending to suggest that JaGex ought to intervene in the alleged 'problem' - they've simply asserted that they would. I'm not advocating JaGex in this sense.

Sorry fellas you're going to have to a lot better than that. "Oh that's a logical fallacy" or "you're personally attacking me" doesn't work with me. Evidence has been provided and it's up to you to disprove it. She's actually been there, Makato, in free worlds and played. You haven't. You don't play. That makes her evidence more "solid" than your prophecies of doom. Don't forget that you're the same guy who states that F2P is boring without a single shread of evidence to prove your case. I'm not even sure which proposition you're claiming to be supporting. All I saw (and thus responded to) were a poor attempt at invalidating an argument by claiming that the opposition 'would've said it anyways' - leaving the truth value of the opposition's proposition unaltered. My take on the argument would be that there is definitely resentment within the f2p community - evidently seen in forum posts - but I cannot be certain as to whether it is dying of inactivity. Please don't confuse my position with the other posters on this thread. As a sidenote, logical fallacies weaken arguments - the very term is an alternative to saying 'flawed reasoning'. If you profess prowess in debate, you ought to be capable of avoiding the said flawed reasoning - you can't just tell someone 'it doesn't cut it' - the strength of your own argument doesn't change when you exclaim it. Let's not digress any further - did what you say invalidate what Makato said? I agree, we did not post any counter evidence. However, we're simply pointing out why the evidence may not work - and you have failed to invalidate it for approximately three times. This argument feels a little like this;

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I like to think of it this way; if you can't get a lover, a puppy is the next best substitute. [beat] in a non sexual context.

Yes, yes she bothered to get those screenshots just to make it all up.. A tad silly to lecture me on debate. I've debated enough with you in the past where the debate's got the better of you so you do your ninja thing and magically disappear. Erewhon2 offered up more evidence in that single post than either of you have in the entire thread. Observational note; It's amusing and somewhat ironic that you profess prowess in debate, yet you still commit very basic flaws in reasoning/language (basic fallacies). Please don't avoid the question though - did what you say invalidate his/her point?

As predicted, a black market has spawned. This'll be more risky for the consumer - it's easier to hide an elaborate algorithm that'll side with a specific person (in this case, DragonDyce) in an irc bot than it would be for an ingame dice. In other words, the odds could be highly stacked against a player in an act of desperation without the consumer actually knowing. It'll be harder to prove scamming too - timestamps don't exist on RuneScape's chat box. Let's see how JaGex deals with this.
-
the price of chins...
Market forces dictate prices. I guess you could always blame the consumers - they're the ones willing to pay the high prices.

Leechers of Society
I think this seems like a plausible explanation: They engage in illicit activities such as RWTing any won monies from staking, which is shared between two or three people who have access to the account. By the way - sometimes when people give 'weekly' figures - they'd give their highest earning for a week instead of their average weekly earnings. In other words, it's inconsistent, as they may only be 'employed' one in four weeks.

I decided to have a little test - to see how far I can reliably push my WPM figure. Here's the result; [hide] [/hide]

1.)Wait for gold prices to shoot up 2.)Bot 100m worth of gold 3.)Have a buyer lined up ready to go 4.)Buy membership 5.)??????? 6.)PROFIT 7.)Mine Pure ess for the rest of the month 8.)repeat Im not sure why Jagex thinks membership is a barrier, remember that time that they added pure ess? Yeah I do Let's see - given current prices are about .7, that would be 70 dollars. A standard membership pin would be 8 of the said dollars, or 12m of the 100m. That's still a dent of about 11.4-12% in profits. If it's only about 2 dollars per day, with a strong chance of getting banned prior to acquiring the money, I think there's enough of a deterrence to drive away a significant proportion of those who already run gold farms. Oh, and don't forget - it's significantly harder to clump 20x5m into 100m with f2p trade limits. What JaGex hasn't achieved - removing RWTing stakers.
-
Leechers of Society
I'd imagine those RS players who don't 'leech off society' whilst NEET may engage in illicit activities such as RWT - the strong demand for RS currency has allowed people to earn sufficient income through gameplay alone.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Would I be considered a regular OTer?
-
How quickly do you type?
I'm a lot more prone to making a lot of spelling errors and such if I'm trying to reach my maximum speed - sometimes this is so bad that that by slowing the tapping action of the fingers would actually make the WPM figure go up.
-
How quickly do you type?
TypingTest: First attempt: Second attempt: 10 fast fingers: Words per minute (WPM) 114 Keystrokes 570 Correct words 107 Wrong words 0 You reached 570 Points so you achieved position 318 of 58545 on the ranking list (last 24 hours) Typeracer: I seem to be losing speed (relative to my prime), but still.

I apologize for any digression, but has this been proposed in this thread? (the Violinist argument)

How quickly do you type?
I'd do a quick test at home - my standard is between 120 and 140.

Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
Andrew Gower has threatened to sue a tip.it user for their article criticizing Jagex before I shall reiterate what has been said before - Andrew has threatened to sue on the basis of libel - fabricated 'truths' about JaGex's policies that were non-existent. When it came to light, Tip.it quickly amended the article and removed it from public viewing. I read the article it was opnion based just as much as Sees_All's article this week is You're missing the point - libel is not the same as criticism. By definition, libel entails a false statement (i.e. fabricated truths). They're very different things, please don't conflate the terms.

Don't knock teddy bears, they're a chick magnet. ;-) Exactly, they're a chick magnet. That's why sleeping in a basket of them says you're a girl. If it said, "Trying to lure some chicks into my basket of teddy bears," then we'd know you're a guy. Not necessarily entailed, despite implicature - you're excluding bi-curious/lesbian females. On Topic; I don't quite like the trend of doom-saying articles... I wonder whether that'll change.
