It seems to be a good time to bump this thread. I have a habit of asking the most outrageous questions in my classes in order to provoke discussion. This may or may not work in my favour.

First thing - you really shouldn't tell your irl friends about your RS career - especially after freetrade. Now that you've lost your entire bank to him, you have a valid excuse to never give him anything again. If he resorts to harassment, or violence - report it to the authorities. If he's threatening you through the internet, report it to the authorities. They're not really friends if the alleged friendship is dependant on the availability of your money.

There is a theory which states that if it becomes a non-efficient way (i.e. irrational way) to do something, then people will start rationing. If acquiring the runes become so profitable relative to other moneymakers, then people will switch over and thus increase the supply more. The prices are likely to stablize at a point near Supply = Demand. Why worry?

Other people's misery - literally. I think it's a bad case of schadenfreude.

Granted. Your family gets drowned very slowly from the localised flooding they cause. I wish for this wish to get corrupted.

I'm willing to accept the proposal, but I'm uncertain on the hidden shortfalls.

It's inherently two issues that must coexist in order to allow the issues to arise. I would say that I should have revised what I wrote before I pressed 'Post' though >.<
