  1. There's no clear evidence that Guthix is weaker than the Elder Gods. However, considering they have the power to create planes, while Guthix does not, it's fairly possible they're stronger, or even a lot stronger. Your theory is also a possiblity, perhaps they can only create planes when they're together, and apart are very weak. There's nothing flawed with that theory but for some reason the first one fits better in my head. Does it actually say Guthix can't create planes or did it just say he can one shape ones? I don't think it's ever been revealed if he can or can't, just that he didn't create this one. Or that he can even repeat that proces without the Stone. And I especially love the idea of seeing more of the past. Maybe Zaros will show it when He's back
  2. Your theory is an explenation to a lot of questions and I kinda like it. :) About the Staff falling back in Armadyl's hands/claws/whatever, Zamorak was appareantly banished for years, so Saradomin and maybe Armadyl too had a lot of playtime. Message of the day: Huray for morphine!
  3. I don't know about Marimbo or the Desert Pantheon specifically, but Seren is the second deity ever to arrive in Gielinor, just after Guthix. Can you provide the info then of when Armadyl came to Gielinor? i've been having suspicions that he may have been one of the Elder Gods. That seems like an odd theory  Well, it comes from the fact that I never personally have found any conclusive proof of when Armadyl first came to the plane, or if he left and maybe came back before. And of all the Gods, with the exception of the Elder God Jas, we know the least about him. Also it correlates to a personal theroy of mine that the Staff of Armadyl and the Stone of Jas are meant to be used in conjuction with each other. I don't think that the Staff of Armadyl is an artifact that is the source of much power, but is used to harness great power. For example, the Stone of Jas would be the source of electricity while the Staff would be the wire through which is travels. Interesting theory actually. I remember Saradomin speaking about Armadyl in one of the God letters. If it's not in there then I think nobody really knows. It could also be that he returned to Gielinor. I've also been wondering why Armadyl would even need such a powerfull stick.

  5. Well like i have said, Jagex does not have to advertise in a way that makes them look bad, but they do. They mention free game, with 24 diverse skills and 150+ quests, and make it look as if it's part of F2P. I take that as a lie, because you can easily advertise for Runescape and still have good success without twisting what is actually free. I have to agree on that one.
  6. No, i was just speaking for myself and all other monster hunters. How is F2P fun (and deserv the award of being the most POPULAR free game) when there is no boss for monster hunters? F2P is nice for skillers, and PK-ers, but honestly as long as there is not a boss (a decent one), Jagex does not deserv the award of F2P being the most POPULAR. But if they deserv it or not, is another discussion so i will leave that be. You can try to hunt for Jagex staff members in pvp worlds...
  7. I believe that was the entire point of the thread. I think he's talking about WoW.
  8. I also wouldn't want to start off as a lvl 3 newb in p2p. That would have been [cabbage].
  9. According to Viggora (from the Ghostly Robes miniquest) Zaros had a lot of loyal subjects. "The Empty Lord turned away from our battle, eyes burning with hatred, and towards Zamorak instead. Seeing this, we all fought with extra vigour, so that General Zamorak would not face our lord alone, but we were outnumbered by many hundreds of warriors and demons, and could not reach him to assist him."
  10. I'm kinda low on expendable money this year (more outcome than income) so I'm just going to become p2p when there are a bunch of new cool quests. Also, membership is about 8 for a month.
  11. I believe that Armadyl is a good god and an even better god than Saradomin. I don't really know what you mean by this. Zaros was banished and not seen or heard from throughout the God Wars, wich caused Guthix to wake up. The Mahjarrat (correct spelling, this) where after more power and destruction. Since Icthlarin was a more or less peacefull (demi)god, the Mahjarrat quickly abandoned him and joined someone who could give them what they wanted. I don't think fear has something to do with it. Why wouldn't Icthlarin be able to send them back without the Mahjarrat being under his control? I believe this to be true.
  12. boring skill? you repeat the same clicking on the same things for a couple hundred hours to get a pretty new skill cape to show off to your internet friends? A winrar is you.
  13. I liked the exp rewards that you could get from the first two event quests, especially the hidden exp rewards. It gave some real use to the holiday events next to the fun from the quests and items. I wonder why they stopped doing that?
  14. Or something bugged like Construction.
  15. I know that it is NOT sailing.
  16. Well soon enough that might not matter because during one quest we saw some Zamorak and Saradomin followers meeting about how to get rid of it (or something along them lines). And Zaros has lost His godly powers, so He can interfere as much as He wants
  17. I don't know about most people, but I kept my public chat on friends throughout the event, so that I wouldn't get everything spoiled before having a decent go at it.
  18. Icthlarin is the demigod of the dead, not death as far as I know. I'm pretty sure he's a god. No he's a Demi-God alright, his examine in Icthlarin's Little Helper says so. As Magzar above me already stated, the chance that Guthix is a Mahjarrat is non-existant. With a lot of imagination you could figure out a way, as Zamorak already proved it's possible, but that would be far too farfetched and would cause a lot of problems with known facts. Also, about the whole bedate on whether Zaros is stronger than Guthix or not: You have to take into account that Guthix might have some advantage over Zaros, as they're fighting on and over Gielenor, and it (Guthix is genderless) pretty much "created" the place. Of course it didn't really create it, but think of the Anima Mundi for example. It created that thing, the "Soul of the World", without which the world can not exist. Maybe Guthix has some sort of homeground advantage. Just a theory though, so don't quote me on that . For now we can only assume that both Guthix and Zaros are very powerful, with the evidence suggesting that Guthix is the superior one. [spoiler=Possible WGS spoiler about Guthix' power]I just wonder how powerfull Guthix is without the Stone of Jas  Also: examine text or not, if Icthlarin is a demigod, shouldn't he have one mortal parent then?
  19. Still, Guthix seems to have powers beyond any Mahjarrat, so I doubt he is one  So does pretender-god Zamorak. Who said Guthix didn't get his powers later on in his life? Even though I doubt Guthix is a Mahjarrat, I wouldn't throw that out of the table. Wouldn't that make Guthix a pretender-god too then? Hypocrisy alert?

  21. Icthlarin is the demigod of the dead, not death as far as I know. I'm pretty sure he's a god.
  22. Since Zamorak controlled most demons (most of all the Elder Demon Thammaron) there is a likely connection. OT: Since neither Armadyl's nor Saradomin's forces liked Zaros He might be kind-of evil, wouldn't ya think?
  23. i hope you're kidding when you say that You would be surprised. Corp can be soloed, as can all boss monsters that I can think of. It's just extremely difficult. On topic, this is an excellent idea and would provide a great break from the normal monotony of slayer. GWD bosses would be especially fun  I meant that with GWD bosses/DK's/KBD/KQ/etc... there are other people who can join the fight and help/disturb you, while Jad HAS to be done alone. Also Bork and the Phoenix. Forgot about those :|
  24. Jad is the only monster that I can think of that you can only do by yourself, so I don't think more will/can be added in this fashion.
  25. The key thing being they have 100% undeniable or debatable proof in game. NPCs from the eastern lands etc. And jagex QA confirmation they will eventually be developed; its much like Priffindas and PoH take eons to get here, but they are coming They have 3 more years to release them
