impressionist is running one right now I ran one back when dung was fresh, but that thread's pretty much dead now. There's a few people around TIF who want toget some good dung teams built up.

I'm guessing m and thok page 10 comes from floor 60, since when you get all of them, you tell M and Thok that their pages go all the way down to the bottom floor.

Depends how much you key- battleaxe is worse than 2h in every way save the ability to use a tank ring with it. Though, I've been hearing more about this idea of using gather/art ring for keying to save on skill door damage. If that is indeed better, then the battleaxe is simply inferior to the 2h. battle axe is better on shades, (and possibly skeletons and zombies) but it sucks on pretty much everything else compared to 2H. i did a calc ago and came up with this DPS graph; in terms of crush, prim baxe and prom 2h are about equal, even at high defense. the graph doesn't show it well but prom2h is still better. prom2h is clearly better for slashing high defense targets. and of coruse prim2h lays both to waste.

9-Nov-2010 - Bank Op and Equip Screen Update (BOAESU)
Jagex doesn't really do a good job of fixing stuff that's reported. I've submitted a bug report on the fact that a platypus can be used as a ranging safe spot, once a year now, for about 4 years. has Jagex ever fixed the platypus? no. Has jagex fixed other pets that accidentally were usable as a ranging safe spot? yes. Jagex doesn't listen. If they get raged at, they've already earned it.

9-Nov-2010 - Bank Op and Equip Screen Update (BOAESU)
but how long could it possibly take to fix it? the dungeoneering equipment page really shouldn't take a single employee than an hour. They might as well fix it while the community is vocal. They have like ~400 employees, I don't see why they can't spare a single one for a day to fix the few mistakes that the community is already pointing out. I always fix the mistakes on my guides within an hour of someone pointing it out to me, otherwise I'll forget about it later.

except it seems hardcoded, so the damage absorption data might not be any more accurate than the RS knowledge base. *points to spirit shields atm*

so my guess is jagex hard coded the number for damage reduction. =\ that's bad programming practice. <_<

I don't get why they bothered adding damage reduction so early. Especially when the number is misleading for dg shields.

I wonder if that means the flesh spoiler is simply resistant to ragers, since we haven't had too much success in that. Perhaps they reduce levels by some function of the amount of damage dealt by the attack. A good test for this would be Runebound (when he's not glitched) or Nightgazer. Use the scrolls while they're resistant, and see if they have any effect. Special effects do not always apply if the defense is not natural defense. You can saradomin spec to heal, even if a tormented demon is praying melee, and you deal no damage for example.

The extra damage you do in the time it takes to make gloves/boots is far more than the damage youd get because of the str boost This is of course assuming your keyer always points you to GD's. even if not, you should be fishing instead. And when that isn't an option? (which sometimes there are those moments, not often, but there are) I don't see how spending 20 seconds making gloves/boots a waste of time. This is assuming you aren't stupid about making them though. If you tele home to make them, then yea, you're wasting a lot of time. But if you have a good gatherer's ring, you'll get the two ore fast, and then you can just hold on to them until you find a furnace on the way. That is the ONLY way I can see making gloves/boots not be a waste. Any other time, you should be killing/doing puzzles/fishing. Even then, your priority should be ragers. To equip a whole team with ragers and scrolls takes a pretty substantial amount of ore (6-8?) I personally used to no more than 4 ores for 3 ragers and 10 scrolls. but now I think even 4 ores is kind of excessive. Necrolord and Thunderous you'd probably never use scrolls on. And in our team, final likes to solo so, we haven't actually been using those 3 ragers all the time. 1 rager 10 scrolls might make more sense for us these days. I am also starting to question rager scrolls for early warped floors because it's so easy to safespot mage dreadnaut.

Thok was the one who saw the white bearded man. Wouldn't it be such a troll if he saw a mirror, and the reflection magically healed all of his and marmaros' wounds, erased their memories, then carried them back to the surface?

What equipment should I save for?
you should really be using rune cbow + broad bolts. Don't overestimate the cost of ammo. Especially if you have an accumulator. Don't count out barrows gear either. It's been out for years now. And it's reached its equilibrium price. If anything, barrows should rise with inflation now. verac skirt is definitely the best option for legs if you don't feel like taking the risk of bandos tassets falling in price (which is a pretty small risk) if you're not gonna get a bandos chestplate, go with proselyte platebody with piety/turmoil. rune defender all the way for the shield. likewise fremennik rings have been out for ages. they won't really fluctuate in price, unless jagex releases something new that's better. Which, doesn't seem like it's happening anytime soon. (same can be said about bandos chestplate, but i'd feel more confident about no new rings coming out than a new armor)

Stealing from Lucien would mean you'd have to be VERY powerful. I can't take six tormented demons (you need at least divine for that) but Lucien summoned them in a few seconds, no prob. Similarly, all slayer masters together (+ assorted heroes) get beat up by Lucien's zombie summons. So I guess the only way would be to catch him off-guard, maybe Sliske could take him on, but fooling a Mahjarrat like Lucien would be very difficult. (all this considering that a high-levelled player is stronger than a God Wars general) Azzanadra is only one who is powerfull enough, well, Sliske might be, but Azzanadra was general of Zaros afterall I mention Sliske because he is a master of disguise and stuff, so he might be able to avoid Lucien summoning stuff (after all, why summon a pack of tormented demons if there isn't anything to fight?). Iirc Lucien isn't so strong in melee combat, then again, maybe neither is Sliske. Sliske doesn't seem like the type of person to exude a "glowing white aura" The only person I can think of with a distinctive white beard and glowing white aura would be Saradomin. but why would Saradomin smuggle tainted items out of daemonheim (I am assuming the white bearded fremennik guy is the smuggler) I think most likely this glowing white bearded man is probably some new character we haven't met yet. Jagex has done that to us in the past. (hype up some vague character description, only to have it be someone we've never met) Note that the final chronicle of Bilrach ends with "Zamorak be free" Does that mean Zamorak is currently trapped somewhere? I mean I think the dragon kin are trapped at the bottom of daemonheim. But for what reason does Bilrach have to see the dragon kin? From the journals, it looks like Bilrach is looking for his master. Zamorak is definitely Bilrach's master. But are the dragon kin too? or are the dragon kin simply tied in with zamorak. The storyline is definitely dragon kin related, but I get the vague feeling that it's Zamorak trapped at the bottom of Daemonheim.

yeah, usually monsters with high magic levels have high magic defense. But we actually tried maging them, and our accuracy was well over 50%, with only an empowered fire staff and shadow hood, no mage armor. I'm guessing they have negative magic defense equipment bonus. You know how if you have -64 magic atk, you'll never land an accurate hit regardless of your magic level? Similar logic would apply for negative magic defense bonus. If they had a substantially low magic defense bonus, you would hit accurately on them with magic spells, regardless of their magic/defense levels.

This is a good point. My only concern is for bosses though. namely thunderous and gravecreeper, who are supposedly weakest to slash. Not sure about the new warped bosses. might be good though. 2h's are probably still best on skeletons and zombies by about 15-20% ish though. I'm not certain that it's an obvious call. I've rapiered hellhounds before. The accuracy was about the same as a 2h on crush. The rapier is definitely much better on brutes and shades though. (about by 15%) but the reverse can be said for magic vs 2H on zombies and skeletons. (its about 15-20% slower than a 2h with berserker) demons are weak to magic btw, I wouldn't rapier them if I had magic. Not terribly relevant to the current discussion, but worth mentioning ;o aren't necromancers weak to crush? dunno about stab though. how about reborn mages? once again not sure. But dunno, rapier WOULD be nice on shades, who are always a priority to kill. I'm personally swapping to spear soon. Tired of switching from desperado to berserker all the time. I was also thinking the same thing, as far as healing with soul split flashes goes. would be bad with soul split below tier 10 I suppose for soul split flashing. Keep in mind that, while you can soul split the bonus damage from blazer, you need to keep soul split up to receive the health.

would you actually use up 125 spells though? If you're only casting on monsters that are weak to magic, you really shouldn't be.

with essentially unlimited ammo thought, wouldn't blitzer be better? I seem to remember reading that blazer works out to be just plain better in every way (DPS and damage per rune), which I thought was silly. I've also seen a t10 blazer ring in action and it is damn impressive. they're both an equal increase in DPS on a target of infinite health. blazer has better damage per rune. but blitzer results in less overkill loss, and faster kills (due to not having to wait for the bonus damage from taking effect). blitzer is also more consistent (which can be good or bad, but usually good) blazer is better for gatestone tricking since you do more damage per spell.

ahgh cant find a thread ¬_¬
well, cannoning frost dragons, soloing TDs, cannoning black dragons, cannoning black demons, cannoning mutated bloodvelds, and cannoning cave crawlers(138) are all on the order of an effigy per 2 hours, give or take 30 mins. Wait, so if I cannon Frost Dragons for 2 hours and use the effigy on RC, I make more RC xp than if I went to ZMI for 2 hours? nope

Personally I've been dying more on abandoned than occults or warped. Geomancer's prayer drain attack hits through solo gatestone teleport. He has massive defense that makes hexhuntering unviable unless bloodragered about 5-10 times. shadowforger still has the greatest knockout potential out of all the bosses. Bulwark beast is still a pain to take down, especially due to my lack of armor with hexhunter. early bosses are simple and straightforward, but they're also brutal for the same reason. They're so simple it's almost impossible to exploit them. Necromancer is easy to solo with only some cosmics, prayer, with no food, since I have a hexhunter. He's even easier with a team. Y'k lagor only requires ~50-70 prayer and no food with a proper team. Runebound is duoable, especially with his prayer glitch now. He goes down in under 45 seconds even with duo. Gravecreeper is super weak to bloodragers, and doesn't KO me as easily as say, Bal'lak. Mostly because his damage puddles are always in the same place Skeletal trio can be lured into the corner, so that the melee cannot attack you, even if you don't make binds. It's just a matter of sniping either the ranger or mage quickly. All you really need for that is bloodragers. And even that isn't necessary. I'm not sure how to do it, but apparently flesh spoiler is soloable with hex. I've never done it myself. But A Final Name has been soloing him on 5:5 these days, with great success. Teaming him is all the easier. dreadnaut is a joke. since he can be lured. He doesn't even have ranged attacks, so once he's lured, he's literally harmless. Gulega is also apparently a joke. Once again I haven't done this myself, but A Final Name has been soloing him these days to great success. Blink gives my teams trouble. Hope devourer is straightforward. Smack him with turmoil on til hes dead. He doesn't even have the knockout potential Bal'lak or shadowforger have. dunno bout the last 2 warped bosses though. But needless to say the earlier warped bosses are jokes, aside from maybe Blink. Maybe I just haven't figured him out yet. Y'lak may be time consuming as a boss, but is made up by the fact htat you don't need armor/food for him. I'd rather have him over gravecreeper tbh.
