Anyway, to the people who are saying that some guy might reach 2.14b overall exp and break the game etc, consider this: The overall exp isnt part of any skill or anything, it is just calculated from the exp in all of your skills. Hell, its not even in the game so for all we know its just a number the highscore generates and stores in a database. Im sure the highscore has nothing to do with java so none of the games limitiations apply to it. Skill exp might be capped at 200m because of the 1/10th exp thing explained before but overall exp is just a number and nothing more.

Interesting idea indeed. Im quite experienced with PHP so feel free to PM me if you need help with your code. Also, security is THE most important part of a site like this, telling others that its vulnerable is never a smart move, even if its true. Its like inviting people to mess with your site. I suggest you read up a whole lot on security since a login system is where a lot of people who are new to PHP make many mistakes that can absolutely destroy their site. Fix this now when your service hasnt actually got people using it, because later on you cant afford to have it all ruined. People wont return to a site once they know it isnt secure. A lot of people do have enough to do that, but Jagex introduced limits a long time ago so its impossible to buy an item out on your own now. Before that with the right amount of gp it was easy to buy millions of items in a day.

I just timed it because i had to go afk anyway. Clicked once in rs, started a 5 min timer and went to get a drink etc, when i came back there was one min left so i waited a bit more and when the timer had run out, i didnt get logged out. 10 seconds later it happened though. So its 5 real minutes and not 5 jagex minutes.

Ive been afk for more than 1½ minute too today without getting logged out. Maybe you disconnected without noticing? Oh and Rubiks cubes rock, my record is 50 seconds so far ;D

They need to tweak the chat system so its actually nice to use. Other games have gone with an approach thats more like IRC which works extremely well and runescapes chat has been lacking for years, its a hassle to use too. I really really wish we could create channels and that there were general channels for areas etc (like in WoW for those of you who have played it). Dont mention CCs because theyre quite annoying to use, they havent even made a feature so we can "bookmark" CCs we use often and have them show up on a list for easy access. I realise the above text is quite a big "tweak" so heres a couple of suggestions for minor chat tweaks: [*:209ba758]As mentioned, a way to "bookmark" CCs, kind of like a friendslist, so you can jump between them in a fast way. [*:209ba758]Make it so you can only type if you press Enter first, which will make the chat active. This way the arrow keys can be used to edit text etc, im sick and tired of writing 8 words only to notice i mistyped the first one and then delete everything to fix it. Having people press Enter to chat means that the arrow keys can still be used for the camera since you actively choose when you want to use them for scrolling through text. This would also open up for other commands since the keyboard could respond in a completely different way. An example would be that if you press R you will automatically pm the one who last wrote to you (WoW again, sorry but they really did well with their chat system). It would speed pm'ing up so much and you wont have to keep going back to the friendslist or go through awkward menus whenever you have to respond. [*:209ba758]Two words: Line breaks. All the text just comes out as one line in the chat, which is annoying because you never know how much will get cut off by the chat-frame, also having a long nick is a disadvantage because you have less space on the line. Why cant it figure out the width of the chat frame and then add a line break if the text is longer than the width. [*:209ba758]A way to filter what text you want to see. I might want to see if my GE offers update but not "You catch a monkfish" x27. But i cant remove all the clutter without also removing the useful messages. Also if i choose to not be on the All setting then that means ill be leaving out some of the other messages. Say if im on Public then i wont see Private (unless i use split chat), Clan chat, Trade requests and Assist requests. Would be much more useful if you could just filter what you want to see, especially since the game spams you a whole lot when doing all kinds of tasks. Why keep telling a fletcher that hes stringing a bow every single time he does so, even though that should be quite clear after the first 50 levels or something. Just seems so pointless. Cant think of more for now but the chat system really needs some love.

I ignored hunter and summoning for very long, but i have recently taken up hunter so now its only summoning that remains at 1.

The game room, just a sapp necklace teleport away and you get no randoms, i can confirm this. I did 97-99 magic in there. Theres not much to look at there though so you better watch a movie or something.

People were talking about lifetime subscriptions, a case (or cases) of where those were supposedly given out was brought up and there seemed to be some confusion so i thought id clear things up? I dont get why that is too far from the topic. Its all related to it after all, except for my off topic bit which was just a random comment. Oh and i did in fact read the first post, dont assume i didnt.

Personally i just think theyre trying to mess with people. Theyve done it in the past when people got too excited about certain rumours. Besides, seems rather odd that they would announce that 2009 is going to focus on tweaks and updating old content, then less than a week after drop hints about a new skill. To me, it feels like they want to take a break from the whole "1+ skill a year" thing that theyve been doing for very long, to focus on what theyve already got, which would be a very smart move in my opinion.

I think the guy who duped tried to turn himself in and get the permanent subscription but got banned instead. Assuming were talking about the famous purple phat dupe way back in RSC, it was like this: Someone, dont know the name, found a way to dupe through the trade window by inserting IDs into the "trade-x" thingy (i think, its been a long time). Anyway, whoever did it, didnt keep it to himself and it spread to quite a few people, hence why so many pink phats were created and it went from rarest to least rare in a matter of days. Jagex noticed and made an announcement that whoever TELLS them how to reproduce the bug, will get lifetime membership, because they needed a fix fast, before more damage could be done, even though the economy was already ruined. After the announcement, a person who knew how to dupe, told them how to do it and got banned straight away. Whether he/she actually did abuse it or just knew how to, nobody knows and Jagex didnt have a way to check at the time (hence why all the dupes had to stay in the game), so i believe the person got banned without evidence, unless he/she had say 100 phat sets or something obvious like that. This happened a long time ago though so bear in mind that my memory might have failed me a bit. Im pretty sure this is quite accurate though. Off-topic: Personally, i think the dupe back then was the best thing that couldve ever happened to Jagex. Sure the economy crashed and all, but it spawned a lot more rares which turned out to not be such a bad thing. Later on Jagex had a lot of issues with rares and their insane prices, think of rares at their highest, and then imagine if there were even less of them (the dupe probably doubled the amount of rares in the game). They wouldve been so much more rare and much more of a problem for Jagex.

Hello, i dont usually post here but thought id post my recent levels for fun so here goes. My ingame name is -removed- and ive had this account since 1-2 years before rs2 launched and have been playing on/off ever since. Its been very long since i got my last 99 (firemaking) so i thought it was time to finally add another one and my magic had slowly creeped up to 97 over 3 years or so, so it seemed like it was time to max it. Except for magic, i had two other stats close to milestones and 1900 total coming up so i thought it might be nice to get them all at the same time. They are all from Isafdar because i needed a somewhat pretty location with rocks and that was the best place i could find. My friend Arlen 91 is in the pictures too. 90 mining, 1899 total: Image Note: Im extremely happy about this level, almost more than i am with 99 magic. The reason is that i hate mining much more than any other skill in rs and now i finally have a decent level i can be happy with for a long time. I dont care about 99 mining and 90 looks nice so hopefully i can be done forever. 99 magic, 1900 total: Image Image 90 crafting, 1901 total: Image So thats it, i can finally do other stuff now. Ive kept my hunter at 15 and summoning at 1 for ages so i could get 99 magic with 1900 total. Will probably hit 2000 total as soon as i start getting levels in those two stats lol. My current plans are getting hunter up, 80 prayer, maybe 99 crafting and maybe some levels in fishing and cooking but im not sure yet. Time will tell. Oh well thats all, thanks for reading <3
