i dont advise buying a rare, though same thing last time i quited rs for a couple of months and it dropped 5m... sell your items and keep the cash, its the only thing u can be sure of that it will be worth the same. also, put some cash in ur MTK, until your happiness goes below 20% u still break even every day.

train at the minotaurs in the SoS, they often drop iron arrows so you wont have to waste money on arrows...

finally some1 that proves me right(well not totally but ur the only1 that really accepts that 1/10k is way to high) @laura: i know it impossible of getting exact numbers for the drop rates, only jagex will have those and i dont think theyll give them 2 us... but what im (we are) doing here is discussing about guesses we make while we kept in regard the prices(read randomness) and the amount you will have to kill to be (almost) 100% sure to get a visage. Since that amount is ~3000 (when using 1/500 drop rate) i found this an acceptable drop rate. There will always be pll who disagree and my numbers wont ever be totally right, but since the OP asked what the drop rate might be, i tried to give him a number which will probably be close to the real answer.

there used to be 1 on the tip.it homepage, but it seems to be lost somewhere. just look at the elementals and which way they follow and after a couple of tries you will get it. the first time is allways the hardest 1, after that the round go very fast

it seems hard since you still dont want to understand it... anyway comp doesnt have to explain ty, got enough maths to be good enough in it... also, after 200 kills (with a chance rate of 1/200) you got 64% chance of getting a visage (which is very high it seems so i will apologise to every1 for my wrong guess of 1/150, it will more likely be 1/500 or 1/600)

just talk to the dwarf where u can buy it, you will get 1 back for free

Wait, 1/10k means 0,1% chance of getting a visage, not 0,02%. 1/10k is 0.01%... I dont get why you multiple the 999/10k with 999/10k? Explain? thats a rull in maths (dont know hows its called in English, in Dutch it's 'kansberekening'...) this rull says that the chance of getting something = p^x in which p= the chance of getting the drop (in this case 1/10k) and x=the amount of times tried (here 2).. hope this is explained well, im not really a professor :P

laws are better money/xp when you use abyss, only keep a couple of tunas in bank in case you get low on hp so u can heal after a trip. if you have access to graahks, nats is better(less profit every ess, but more money/h)

@ gorgoroth: well you got 1/10000 chance of getting a visage (im using ur numbers to explain..) that means that the chance of not getting a visage is 9999/10000. after 2 kills you will have 9999/10k * 9999/10k chance of not getting a visage in any of those drops: 99.98% chance of not getting 1=> 0.02%chance of getting 1. after 100k kills ur chance of not getting 1 visage will go down till almost 0 which means: u will have had at least 1 visage (unless you are very unlucky and in that case you will have to kill an infinit(sp?) amount of steels (only way to get ur chance at 100%) @pure: edited last post when i understood ur question

If the rate is 1/200 and you kill two what was your chance at a visage? Sorry for the large text, he is being ignorant. for your second kill you had 0.5% chance of getting a visage or you had 0.99% chance of getting a visage in 1 of the 2 drops, i miscalculated myself in the other post sorry for that.. if this isnt the answer you want ask it in an other way plz...

I'm quite sure Gorgoroth is well aware of that(sounds kind of funny lulz : ), and there's no way it's a 1/150 chance of a visage drop per kill. It's probably more like 1 out of 10k+, which many has already stated in this thread. do you even know what that means, a drop rate of 1/10k?? it means that you have to kill around 100k steels to be sure to get at least 1 visage... I know a visage is rear, but since the prices is only 16m it wont be that rare don't you think? the drop rate will never go above 1/500 (which means: around 5k steels killed to be sure to get at least 1 visage) i agree the 1/150 might be to low(but still closer than 1/10k)

for the rest it should be correct, only: you will have to be in a perfect world and get no revs at all to get ~26kills and to be able to bank in 7.5mins...(something that seems unlikely). anyway, use a terrorbird/turtoise to keep longer runs=> less time wasted on banking teleports

1/150 drop rate means that at every dragon you have 1 chance out of 150 that you get a visage, and that with every dragon since the game has got no memory so your next drop wont be influenced by your last 1.

brimhaven is quite good, only enoying because of the ticket system: if u look away for a second, you might miss a pilar and lose 2mins with allmost no xp... also the max xp isnt wonderfull, only 18k/h when you never fail a pilar and trade them 100 a time (with karamja gloves) i did brimhaven till around 60, then wildy till 65 and then started ape atol, but like the other posters allready said, ape atol is only realy good after 70 since you wont fail a lot and its wonderfull after 75: you never fail...

in that case just use good food, barrows armor, whip, good shield/rune defender and use the excalibu method for the extra def lvls and the healing special when u finisched the diarie... ull just have to bank after a couple of kills, but normally u wont need more than 2-3 inv of monks to finisch the task

D Visage is one of the most saught after drops. It is EXTREMELY rare and you have to kill well over 5k Dragons before you can even begin to form the thought of maybe thinking of getting one as a drop. That being said, i think the Visage drop rate is like 1/10k lol u cant be serious, i killed like 500 and got a visage, so u see it is really totally random... the drop rate will more likely be 1/150 or something for visage. dont know about dlegs/skirt

just get a bunyip, some food (guthan if you wanna be sure) and an armour with good def bonuses(i usualy use guthan so i only need spear/helm in inv)... take a sup set and a good wep and u wont have any problem. if they start hitting to much, just use the fairy ring, get some new food and maybe a def pot/excalibur and u r back into the game :P

personally i prefer a rune pure since they get hit less often and their cb is high enough to fight pll with respectable drops. also 40def will make powertraining att/str/range much better...

best are plates. iron plates are the cheapest/slowest (use the plates as junk so you will lose a minimum), otherwise try mith/addy plates. good way also is mining addy/coal or mith/coal and using superheat... u gain money and ur mage goes up, but it is realy slow

what would be fastest? i was thinking of gold since it will make me quite a lot of cash, but it will be so terrible slow :?

yes the 15 rats count. every 50/100 you get dialogue saying 'well done cat, allready 50(100) rats caught'

armoured zombies are way better since you get more xp, drops and you can afk (when using a bunyip)

well in staed of denying pll cuz they are to young, just kick pll when they start acting immature and ruining the conversations...
